Photos and Videos from June 2007: Trip to Colorado and Birthday Party
At the beginning of June, the four of us went to Carbondale, CO to see Craig's dad Bo (Zadie) and grandmother (Sittu). Driving through the mountains from Denver, we encountered snow falling - the kids's first time seeing it:
We visited with Sittu each day, and took her to the playground with us:
A fun discovery was the pool at the River Valley Ranch, where Bo's wife Sue and her kids work. It has a water slide that the kids loved:
Serafina and Toby have become much more affectionate with each other, and are getting along great. Geoff got this sweet shot of them:
Jamma's birthday present to Serafina was to pay for her hair to be braided at a salon. So after 2 1/2 hours of work, Serafina ended up with lots of small braids, and a "crown" of beads (Serafina's request). I cut Toby's hair for his birthday too:
On June 30 we had a party for Serafina's 4th birthday (June 20) and Toby's 2nd birthday (June 27). It was a costume party in our backyard:
On July 7 I got a couple cute videos of the kids dancing to Bethoven's 9th Symphony (Serafina's need to dance interrupts many a meal in our house):
