We absolutely loved our stay in this home! Uniquely historic but thoughtfully updated and beautifully decorated, this house is a gem — the pictures really don’t capture how lovely this home is! It is also well stocked for a weekend away and very comfortable (my 6 year old said his bed was the “best bed I’ve ever slept in”, for whatever that’s worth). The backyard is fantastic — we really enjoyed the screened in porch with water views, the outdoor lighting, BBQ, and the fire pit. It was a very relaxing spot, with only the bullfrogs making noise at night. This house is a great home base from which to explore the area — we walked with our two young kids to Main St in Narrowsburg, also enjoyed hiking and other day trips to nearby towns. (I’ll also note that the house worked well for our kids — we appreciated the pack n play and kid-friendly plates/cups, and our kids loved the bonus room space). Overall this was an ideal AirBnb for a weekend trip and we absolutely hope to stay here again.

Had an incredible 4-night stay at this charming home. Perfect for a family getaway to Catskills and the lake access is an added bonus. The property is situated less than a 5-minute drive to Main Street in Livingston Manor and about a 15-minute walk to Shandalee Lake. We didn’t want to leave and we will be back!

We had a great stay! The view was amazing and the pool was excellent. The house was clean and well appointed. The property is totally private and was great for the dog. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying in such an isolated location, conveniently located near our favorite outdoor spots. We used the screened back porch a lot and enjoyed outdoor dining. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped. It was a treat to relax in the soaking tub. The bed is very comfortable. The location is good for star gazing. I've never stayed in a place with so little noise pollution!
Although this place has a small 2nd bedroom, I recommend this place for only 2 people. There is no place for storing belongings in the master bedroom. We used the second bedroom as a closet. There isn't much dining space for more than two people. It was perfect for us, but others should be aware. Also, it is a cabin in the woods so there may be some spiders, ants and mice. That's to be expected. Just carefully store your food.
We are grateful that this home is dog friendly, with a pull gate on the front porch.
Owner is very responsive and flexible with arrival/departure. We would stay again!

Host was very responsive and helpful.
