This house is wonderful! It’s exactly as pictured, with all the necessities you’d want. The yard is fantastic for relaxing by the fire or playing with your dog, the location is within 15-30 minutes of many things to do (an easy drive to Woodstock), there are two grocery stores within 10-15 minutes.
The communication with the owners is fantastic—super quick and super helpful and friendly! One queen bed and the double bed are very firm (too firm for us), so I asked the owners if there were any mattress toppers locked in the closets, and they very quickly and very kindly responded that they’d take care of it. Within a couple of hours, they had two brand new memory foam mattress toppers delivered to the house for us to put on the beds!
Of note, one queen bed is up a rather steep set of stairs. The three bedrooms are spaced far apart in the house, which provides plenty of privacy, overall. Also note that the queen bedroom over the living room has pretty sharply pitched ceiling, so you have to be careful to not bump your head, but with that said, it’s a really charming space with a sitting room area just outside the room, so it feels like a lovely mini-suite.
The showers are terrific, with both a traditional shower head and an overhead rain shower head, great water pressure, and we never ran out of hot water with 5 people showering one after another.
There’s a reservoir next door, and you can hear the waterfall from it when you have the windows open or when sitting outside. It’s very peaceful! People do come early in the morning to fish from the bridge there, and sometimes you can hear them talking, but it didn’t really bother us.
All in all a lovely and charming home, owned by caring and responsive people who want to ensure your stay is as great as it can be. We loved our time there and we’d definitely rent this house again! Thank you Jo and Declan!

Perfect weekend spot located just outside of Chatham, NY. Clean, uncluttered, and comfortable spot on 5 acres with a lovely yard and fire pit. We reserved the house for a long weekend and reached out to the manager to see if we could stay an extra night. Communication was fast and they were so accommodating. Our daughter loved the tree loft and roaming around the property. Great place!
We had such an amazing time at Cedar Brook Cabin! It was charming, cozy, clean and well equipped. The location is fairly secluded but close to various hikes and outdoor activities. Lauren and Chris were great hosts and made our stay at the Cabin feel like a home away from home. We are already looking forward to our next stay!
You can expect a clean, roomy house. It is close to several restaurants and shops. It is spacious with plenty of room.
My boyfriend and I give this place a 5-star review! The tiny home was clean, organized and had everything we could possibly need for a weekend getaway! We were so sad to leave and wished we had a few more days booked there! We both would also HIGHLY recommend stopping at the Village Store for any essentials and pizza! So yummy!
This house is absolutely stunning. Truly the first Airbnb I had been to where the photos are a perfect representation of what you get. Beautifully designed, spacious, and relaxing. Sitting on the screened in porch listening to the creek was absolutely perfect! The area has tons of great breweries, restaurants, hiking, etc. Samantha’s guidebook provided tons of great suggestions. If you have a large group, this is the house for you. With 12 adults, it never felt cramped. Definitely recommend!!!
We spent 3 amazing days in Windham and the area and I would highly recommend booking this house. It couldn’t be better located, a few minutes away from the main street of Windham (with a lot of great restaurants, shops, and grocery stores), and a short drive away the Mountain Top Arboretum, lakes, waterfalls, hike trails, and certainly the ski slopes.
As for the house itself, it is even better than the pictures. The kitchen is fully stocked and the grill is available, the tv is connected to several streaming services and apple tv, and the outside deck (grill + firepit) is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay.
Last but not least, the host. Emil was very responsive whenever we tried to get in touch before and during our stay. He is very attentive and caring about the place; his touch can be seen all over the house. He had everything ready for our check-in, which was very easy (with a digital code at the door), including a sweet note and complimentary wine bottle.
This was easily our favorite stay in upstate NY and we cannot wait to book this house again!

Great place, great location if you’re looking to be in the country but near a lot of activity – not too near – but an easy drive to great country stuff and to all the coast and mountains have to offer. Really enjoyed sitting outdoors at sunset and listening to the wildlife as the sun set over the river valley and the hills. Grab a gourmet pizza and some excellent beers from Intervale Store, and enjoy!
Cedar Brook was an absolute dream to stay for for a few days. The interior is even more gorgeous in person and everything is accessible/ easy to find. The area is nice and quiet, so it’s perfect for the relaxing get away with its crisp clean air and sounds of birds chirping. It’s well stocked with cleaning supplies for any cleanups you may need along with kitchenware, games, extra towels. New Gloucester in itself has a bunch of hiking trails and there’s some falls down the road from the cabin which are lovely to explore. The village store nearby has AMAZING pizza too. Portland isn’t far either and makes for a fun day trip.

Samantha’s property is an absolutely stunning gem. The house is much bigger than the pictures even give it justice and is perfect for a larger group. There are two bedrooms downstairs, two on the main floor, and two upstairs, so every pairing has their own wing and bathroom to separate the group a bit. The kitchen was also amazing for cooking and has state-of-the-art appliances. We enjoyed the fireplace on a chilly, rainy weekend and had plenty of space to stretch out to play games, chat, eat, etc. We were also greeted by a delicious bottle of wine and local coffee beans—such a great touch and made us feel extra special. The house was also immaculately clean upon arrival. Samantha was super responsive and helped the weekend be absolutely perfect.
When I tell you that River Cottage is a dream house to stay in when you visit Great Barrington or Southern Berkshire County, I really, really mean it! This home is hands down one of the best locations to book. It is not only beautiful, but perfectly located in downtown Great Barrington, right by all of the coolest shops and restaurants. And even though it is in town, it’s down a very quiet street that made our trip as calm, quiet, and restful as we hoped. The homeowners have done a gorgeous job with the property- the design is exactly as described (chic, modern!) but also extremely considerate to what we might need and how we hoped to feel. It’s clear that they love this space. Every single detail was accounted for, and there really wasn’t a single thing that we lacked. Even the bedding and towels were so soft! Staying at River Cottage was just as good as staying at a boutique hotel, especially thanks to the Posto Property Team. We were really, really well taken care of, and the communication was perfect- just the right balance of responsive, helpful, caring, and professional, while also staying personal and human! Favorite parts of this home for us were the kitchen (everything we needed and all new appliances- great for cooking after we stopped by the Great Barrington Farmer’s Market on Saturday!), the bathrooms & laundry (spacious and comfortable), and the fenced in backyard! There was a grill back there, a riverside fire pit, and a safe & secure place for our dog to run around and sniff. Truly couldn’t choose a better spot in The Berkshires, especially if you want to strike a balance between easy access to town and a fantastic home base for all sorts of adventures! We’ve stayed in some beautiful hotels and Airbnbs before, but this will be a home we hope to return back to soon.
We loved our stay in this sweet place! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and the space was cozy but spacious for 5 of us. My only note is to avoid the fenced area out back—the tall grass is pretty to look at but it’s full of ticks. Recommend checking out the Buttermilk Falls swimming hole 15-ish minutes away. We would absolutely stay here again!
Stayed here for a relaxing weekend getaway with friends. The house is even more beautiful in person! Tiffany put a lot of great touches in the home and it is very clear that she poured herself into it. We especially appreciated all the different parts of the home that really allow for intimate hang outs–from the living room, the dining room, kitchen, and patio. Also the acoustics in the house are AMAZING. Highly recommend for a chill dance party.
What a beautiful stay we had. The epitome of an upscale tiny home adventure. Everything was just as expected. Owners were so incredibly responsive to every question we had about the area. Weather was very hot but we were thrilled to just stay in a good part of the time and breathe. Thank you so much!
By far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. The location is amazing. Scenic and secluded, but not lacking any amenities. If you are looking for a cabin getaway with tons of near by activities, this is the place to book. I promise you will not find a better option.

-The creek is roughly knee deep and the current is not too strong. Definitely suggest water shoes to help navigate rock covered creek floor
-The surrounding towns of Barryville, Narrowsburg, and Eldred have plenty to offer as far as food, drink, shopping, and hiking. I definitely suggest making a reservation to all restaurants you plan on attending.

Amazing home and stay! As all guests previously mentioned it was the small touches that truly made this place special. There is nothing like looking out this homes skylight in the pitch darkness of the Maine sky, and stargazing. We really enjoyed the fireplace, the string lights, and the coziness of this home. It was a little hot during our stay but opening up the windows let in a great breeze – and there are plenty of windows to allow the sun. Also – this is well water so bring your own water if you’re not used to well water, and don’t expect strong water pressure either, this is Maine living folks! We loved our stay, check out the Yolked Food truck and Wolfs Neck State park – you won’t regret it.

Samantha’s place was lovely, a real haven in nature. It was clean, spacious, and well-designed. There was ample space for all of us, a big family. In addition to being well furnished, Samantha had left thoughtful additions like phone chargers and even s’mores supplies for the outdoor fire pit. This was a great place for our family get-together. This was truly one of my favorite travel experiences in a long time – maybe ever. The house is gorgeously decorated and well-appointed, the peaceful sounds of the brook create a soothing ambiance and the fire pit in the backyard was a hit. My friends and I spent almost every waking minute outside with our dogs. We were so sad to leave and I am definitely coming back again later this summer.
We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Magda! Every corner of this house is stunning from the modern design aesthetic, the art on the walls, the amenities, with amazing touches throughout (projector for epic movie night, grill, campfire, disco ball, and colorful lights for living room dance parties). Tiffany has poured so much love, cafe, and craft into creating this home…one of our favorite elements was the coffee table book that showcases the before/after photos of the house, with details on the renovation process and story behind specific decor pieces she made & chose. Everyone left wanting to hire Tiffany to be the interior designer for our own homes. 🙂

This place was fabulous! Spacious, beautiful home, top notch kitchen, gorgeous views! Our group of 8 (4 kids 4 adults) had more than enough space – we really appreciated the en suite bathroom in each of the 4 bedrooms. Great dining tables both inside and out that were big enough for us to all comfortably sit down together for meals. Huge island in the kitchen was great for meal prep but also just for gathering. Perfect place for a family retreat.
Great location about a half hour outside of Portland. It is a nice spot to stay in and just relax or go back to after a day exploring. Best of both worlds here. The amenities were all there for us and the hosts were very communicative with us throughout the duration of our stay. We will definitely be back.
This is a great place to stay for a long weekend with our dog. It’s very quiet and very green, and still close to the town if you need anything. Lots of great hikes and things to do nearby that are a half hour drive away. The interiors were very well done and very well appointed – overall the place was very comfortable. The hosts were also very friendly and responsive.
