As you arrive at Cardinal Crossing, you’ll step into a soaring double-height entry vestibule that sets the tone for a home designed to welcome both memorable gatherings and quiet moments. A fully stocked, open chef’s kitchen with a glass atrium flows into a sun drenched breakfast nook—perfect for your morning coffee and a croissant from Bread Alone—while just beyond, a long dining table seats ten comfortably for family meals or entertaining. On cooler days, migrate to the living room and gather around the wood-burning fireplace which anchors the space, and a separate TV room with an 80” television sits just off the open living space, like your own personal movie theater, perfect for movie night (popcorn maker included!). This room is also stocked with endless games, puzzles and activities to keep people of any age happy and busy. Next, the large and cheerful double room has exposures on two sides, facing over the lawn in two directions, and has two twin beds. Finally, an additional guest room features a full-bed for any extra guests, and shares a large, renovated tub-and-shower bathroom with the double room. Zoned heating and A/C, high-speed Wi-Fi, and thoughtful storage throughout ensure that everything—from linens to luggage—has its place. Each season brings its own draw to the village: spring farmers markets and blossoming orchards, summer events like the Dutchess County Fair and Aerodrome shows, vibrant fall foliage along the river and apple picking, and cozy winter festivals as well as multiple ski mountains under an hour away. A car is recommended to the get the most of your time in the Hudson Valley, but the center of the village of Rhinebeck is one-mile away from the house, easily accessible by bike or a nice walk. The Amtrak station in Rhinecliff is also 7 minutes away (the train is an hour and a half to Penn Station, trains run regularly), and frequent taxis and Ubers available any time.
