An idyllic property for a respite from the world. We were wowed when we entered, and loved the height, the light and spaciousness, the design and materials used. We enjoyed walking along the creek, the barbecue, sitting on the back lawn reading, enjoying films at night, daytrips to nearby ponds for a swim and a hike, venturing in to more populated areas for shopping (Woodstock, Bennington and Brattleboro). The downstairs bedroom is less appealing and needs some attention. Since we were 5 friends, sharing the costs. I resolved the issue by charging less to the couple in that space. Other than that, the property was a total pleasure. Highly recommended.
Enjoy a tiny retreat in Jamaica! When not baking cookies, sipping tea, reading a book, or sitting by the firepit, there was much to explore! Indoor/Outdoor options were plentiful including swimming holes, hiking, kayaking, picnicking, and places to sample award winning cheeses as well as local maple syrup. Grateful the tiny house had everything needed for a getaway in Vermont.
Gordon’s place was in a great location! Not far from the center of town and was a very relaxing place to stay! The hot tub and pond were great and he really included everything you could need, from small things like make-up wipes and plenty of k-cups for the coffee machine. He was a great host he checked in on us to see if we needed anything!
Great weekend getaway: conveniently located by Stratton and hosts were super responsive/ easy to connect with (they also gave an amazing list of things to do in the area). Fire pit and well equipped kitchen were our favorite parts of the house – we used them every day! Our dogs absolutely loved the backyard. I would warn that there are a ton of bugs if you decide to go in the summer. Many swarm into the house if you open up doors/windows at night. The twin room gets pretty hot (no AC in this room), especially if you keep the window closed to keep bugs out. Theres a camera inside the house facing the front door. All in all, our trip was amazing and the house itself is beautiful. We’d absolutely go back!
I can’t say enough positive things about this estate. This home comfortably slept our group of 15 women with extra! Everything, down to the small touches, was decorated so beautifully and thoughtfully, our favorite being the “Moroccan corner.” The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we’d need and more. The view of the mountains in the distance were stunning and we were able to relax in their hammock. The pool is even bigger in person and the fire pit was stocked with lots of wood! The hosts, David and Patty, were incredibly helpful with showing us around for check in and then greeting us as we were checking out. They even had a gift to give to my sister for her engagement. So thoughtful!! I can honestly say I’ve never had a better Airbnb experience and I am confident I will be staying at Breathe Inn again.
Chris and Lauren have put a lot of time and energy into this house and it shows. The house is amazing, spacious, and the entire environment inside and outside are thoughtfully designed for a relaxing stay. During our stay, we encountered several problems regarding the house appliances, Chris and Lauren were super responsive and helped us at every turn. The location of this house is incredible, it is super close to many hikes and waterfalls as listed in the hosts’ guidebook. We had a relaxing and wonderful stay here and can’t wait to visit again!
We travelled with 4 families with small children. The house has so many to offer. There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms to share. The kitchen is well stocked with good-quality cookware, we cook all the meals in house with ease. There were many things to do on the ground, we didn’t leave the house at all. The kids enjoyed the kiddie zip line, swing, hammock, a huge pool, basketball court, ping pong and the trail behind the property…..the house may need some updates but it is spacious enough with interesting decor. You will feel cozy in there. Would recommend this house for large groups with children. Communication with host is quick.
I cannot recommend this cabin enough, it is honestly the perfect getaway from the city!! The space looks exactly like the pictures—beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and teeming with thoughtful touches. It’s surrounded by trees for complete privacy, so it feels cozily nestled in the woods but close enough to small towns and outdoor attractions for convenient day trips. Karli was a delightful host and very accommodating. Highly recommend!
The Green Mountain Modern House is an extraordinary find. We’ve stayed there twice this summer, and it was amazing both times. the house design is impeccable, from the lovely mid-century furnishing to the thoughtful flowers. And the location is just magical- between the forest and the river bed, my kid spent all of their time exploring outside. Truly wonderful holiday!
This place was awesome! Just as the pictures depicted. We can now check off staying in a tiny house off the bucket list. The best part was the private back yard with picnic table and fire pit. It extended the living area so the tiny house never seemed small even for a 2 week stay. It is located in a perfect spot in Jamaica with the state park and cool town 5 minutes away. Make sure you check out D&K Market in Jamaica. She has everything. We hiked the ski mountains,lakes and trails. We kayaked on Echo Lake. Ran and hiked in Jamaica State Park. Make sure to check out Wilmington, Brattleboro, Manchester and Londonderry. After a busy day it was a pleasure to sit around the fire pit at the end of the day and relax. Highly recommend Green Mountain Tiny House!
Gordon’s house far exceeded our expectations and has been one of the best Airbnbs experiences I’ve had! The house and property are set in a beautiful wooded area and was a great change of pace from city life. We had the ground floor apartment of the house and the space was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. Beyond this, there were many thoughtful touches throughout the space, from the fireplace to the furnishings to the hot tub. In addition, after a long drive from NYC to Vermont, my girlfriend and I were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco which helped ease the weariness from our trip in. Gordon was at the stay during our trip, was very responsive to all our inquiries, and very easy to get along with. Could not ask for a better space and better host. Made for a very memorable Vermont trip!
This house is amazing, and perfectly situated. Great mattresses (always important to me) thoughtful amenities with luxurious jacuzzi tub and sauna. The stream across the street is great for kids adventure and the falls a short drive away is great for recreation. Games for kids, bowls for the dog, everything you need. can’t wait to go back.
Perfect location!!! Minutes from all Hunter was great in communicating great places to go to. The home is very clean and cozy. The kitchen is stocked complete and the beds are super comfortable. It was a perfect place to enjoy a family weekend. Now we know where to come back to. Great home away from home. 🥰
My family and I spent the weekend here during Covid times to get away from the city. We had an infant and 2 dogs here. Amazing kitchen with top of the line appliances (we cooked every meal here) the pond had a boat available for use. Pond is a bit of a walk down the hill, (might be a bit hard for the elderly) so you can either drive down the driveway to get there or walk it. Communication was great. Everyone from age 6 mo to 70 years enjoyed themselves.
What a special place! So peaceful and serene! The location, design details and amenities are incredible. Alana was very responsive (their house manual is super helpful too), the kitchen had nice cookware, and the space was very comfortable for my WFH trip. Hope to be back very soon for a longer stay!
Green Mountain Modern House was in a super location and was an awesome place to get away for the week. Kitchen was well equipped and the overall space was well designed. While it’s best suited for a family of four, it’s also a great space for two people. We loved being so close to the river as well as driving distance to excellent hiking (and in the winter, skiing) options. Hosts were generous with their recommendations and communication and we would highly recommend them and the house to anyone!
Gordon’s place is everything you want in an airbnb. The views are incredible, very close to town (10 minutes driving distance) and local attractions, very clean, ease of check in and out, and great communication.
Gordon responded very timely to any inquiry and message I sent. He sends you a very thorough guide before check in, which would be useful for every airbnb host. His place was even prettier than described (be mindful there is no full kitchen but has a toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and minifridge). The two bedrooms were very spacious and have a great view of the pond. Even though our interaction with Gordon was very little, he was very pleasant and made sure our stay was to our liking. He gave us great tips on where to run and eat!
My only regret is that we didn’t stay long enough (next time we will have to use the fire pit). I would recommend his place to anyone traveling to Stowe and will definitely stay at his place again!

This is the cutest place to stay ever! We had the absolute best time, from all the hiking and sight seeing around the area to cooking and making camp fires in the backyard every night. The house could not have been more clean and it had everything we needed! Thank you so much for making our first stay up in Vermont so wonderful, we can’t wait to come back!!
Steven and Lauren’s place is stunning. The setting is spectacular under the pine trees and right beside the river, and the interior is warm and inviting, bright and modern. Everything feels well thought out and unique from the design choices to the layout and amenities. This was an ideal place for four of us and room for more in the foldout bed upstairs. My particular favorite is the upstairs walkway that bridges one side of the house to the gorgeous A-Frame bedroom. Truly a special place – I would highly recommend!!!
Beautiful, compact, modern home in Vermont. Loved being able to be within a 30 min drive to so many great hikes. Very convenient to D&Ks for groceries and some good local dining options. Highlight of the experience: waking up to a beautiful bright space, coffee on the deck, daily hiking, and coming back to an amazing outdoor setup and firepit. Fantastic hosts, very communicative. Sad to leave and would love to return someday!
Had a great stay here! The house is cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed, but the best thing about this place is the setting. It’s in a beautiful spot and it was great to spend time outside by the fire, to wander the stream, to cook and eat under the stars. The location is also convenient, just about 20 min from a town with a few good restaurants and stores.
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous space. The windows, high ceilings and lighting made for really peaceful and relaxing days. Karli is a very responsive host. We loved all the thoughtful touches indoors, including the fully stocked kitchen, and all of the adventures outdoors. We took a few really great hikes with the dogs, rented a boat at Swinging Bridge Reservoir, found a few delicious local eats and chilled out. Was the perfect getaway in the perfect setting! Thank you.
