I spent the weekend at Jen’s place with 7 girlfriends and we never once felt there was a lack of space. We were pleasantly surprised by the kitchen amenities and cooked a ton over the weekend! Jen and team were also super responsive during the snow storm to make sure we could all get up the driveway (which isn’t awesome without 4 wheel drive in the winter). All in all, we had such a great weekend and would definitely stay again!
Declan’s place is pristine, cozy and a perfect oasis away from New York City. For us, it was everything we needed for a peaceful escape. It felt like our home away from home.
We got up here in an easy 2 hour drive, and were super impressed with the place. We had 3 couples, but the layout made it feel like we each had our own private space. The enormous TV and old-school nintendo were a fun surprise, but we found ourselves hanging out in the dining room, playing games and eating food we prepared in the perfectly stocked kitchen. The assortment of pots, serving tools, etc. made it easy to whip up delicious meals.
We also loved was the under-floor heating – no giant socks needed! Other things to note:
We were less than a 20 minute drive from an adorable town with shops, great restaurants and one-of-kind book stores. I can’t rave enough about the experience and I would give it more stars if I could.

This home was beautiful inside and out – perfect for our annual ski trip with friends to Stowe, VT. The pictures did not do this place justice; it is very nice and modern inside and has a great upscale ski chalet vibe. Erica was responsive to questions via text message in advance and the check-in/check-out instructions were prompt and thorough. We had absolutely no issues during our stay and left with great memories. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to others! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
This is about as 5 star as it gets! Everything from the arrival greeting to the details at the accommodation to the recommendations of what to do during our stay were absolutely perfect. Gordon is beyond incredible as a host – met all of our needs and answered all of our questions – words can’t even accurately express how great of a host he is! I’ve stayed in multiple AirBnBs around the world and this one was the best. If you’re thinking of booking the place, you absolutely should!
Really awesome modern house with easy access to Stratton and Mount Snow. The indoor spaces are very modern, but still warm and very practical.
Lauren and Chris were very communicative and entry was straightforward. The place was super clean, the beds were comfy and bathrooms very nice. The kitchen is nicely laid out and well stocked (pots, pans, utensils etc) for preparing meals.
One word of caution, the surrounding roads can be a little rough in the winter and all-wheel-drive is probably a good idea!

Declan’s house was a perfect farmhouse dream. We lit a fire daily, sat there and played games and crafted. Perfect setting for knitting and quilting while my daughter did her crafts. Great kitchen for cooking. On nights when we went out to dinner we visited Saugerties and Woodstock. The house is perfectly located about 5 to 10 minutes from each town. We visited during the winter and were lucky enough to have snow. Declan’s house had a small sled for our daughter so that was great we didn’t have to buy one. Mornings are so nice to go for a walk near the reservoir. Definitely visiting again.
The Green Mountain Modern house was a nice as the pics show. Very clean, great design, beautiful location. Easy to get to Stratton (where we skied). Enjoyed reading the little books on outdoor life lying around, and even brushed up on our bumper pool skills. Jamaica is a picturesque quiet village, with just what u need nearby to enjoy ur vaca.
That wall of windows is just amazing. Lots of great hikes in the area. We also went skiing on the old airport in town, local tip, super quirky but lots of fun. We had plans to go out and eat at night but ended up staying in, getting cozy, watching movies and reading books. Lauren and Chris are great hosts!
I would highly recommend this venue for any wanting to enjoy the benefits of both Stowe’s beautiful village and the incredible skiing available. We were two families staying in Jen’s home and were very comfortable. The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids and was very well maintained. The extra amenities were thoughtful – coffee (both keurig and ground) were left for us, in addition to toiletries to make our stay more enjoyable. As well, all the basics for cooking, exceptional cookware and high end appliances, made it easy to feed and water the families before we hit the slopes. It was a wonderful stay in a beautifully maintained home. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Stowe getaway.
This house was so lovely, charming and sweet – light-filled common spaces and bedrooms, a generously-sized modern kitchen and a gorgeous pergola perfect for a late night chat. The location was absolutely perfect – a close drive to Woodstock and Saugerties, and right next to a beautiful reservoir and quiet and peaceful for a great getaway. One note, if you are not good with stairs, this is not the best option for you, as 2 of the 3 bedrooms are upstairs (without en suite bathrooms). check with the management company to make sure the speakers are working, as it seemed like the attachment from the speakers to the apple airport was missing.
The house is really unique, cozy and clean, and in a great location if you are planning on skiing Stratton! We stayed at the end of the season and had a rainy weekend so we didn’t end up skiing but enjoyed the house and surrounding towns. We did an escape room nearby which was really fun and well done. The local general stores are really charming and have a good selection of VT specialties. We befriended the local “Kiwi” transplant at Ungrounded Coffee Roasters which has some amazing coffee! Across the street is Honeypie which had great burgers, shakes, and fries. Everything was definitely worth the trip!
Our stay at the Green Mountain Modern House was fantastic. Everything was so easy and we had ZERO hiccups. From getting confirmed for our stay, to the detailed check in instructions. From the great nights of sleep we got due to cozy beds and pillow variety choices and even the fan, to the relaxation credited to the spa like amenities. Every detail made our stay so comfortable we almost didn’t want to leave! Thank you Chris and Lauren for being such amazing hosts!
What a great time we had at the Green Mountain Modern House. We took advantage of the top notch kitchen appliances and made dinner each night. The big windows are just absolutely stunning. The river alongside was so loud at night, which is something I absolutely loved about this place. We came from NYC and hit a bunch of nearby towns around the area of Jamaica to allow us to experience the “VT lifestyle”. It was refreshing to say the least. We checked out the fire tower in Molly Stark State Park, and as you drive along RT 9 you pass Hogback Mountain which had nice views. We then headed into Brattleboro town, where we spent a good amount of time in The Grafton Cheese Shop. YUM. We heard about Madame Sherri’s Forest in Hinsdale NH and checked out the ruins there. Really neat. On our way to check in to The Green Mountain Modern House we also stopped along route in Townshend, VT to check out the Dam and Scott Bridge. What I mean here (lol) is that the location is great; there is plenty to do nearby. Very close to Stratton Mt as stated. Worth the 4 hour drive from NY for sure. Will be staying again!
Booked this house for a quick getaway out of the city. It was everything that I had expected. The house was extremely clean and had all the amenities needed for us for the weekend. It was just the two of us staying but this place would be perfect for larger groups. Location wise it was right near everything we needed.
This home is a gem! It’s modern and stylish with all details cared for. The space felt expansive with 3 floors, high ceilings and a large open kitchen. Lots of little extras (like body wash and soap, a cabinet stocked with games, all the kitchen items you could need and awesome ceiling fans) simply enhanced this beautiful property. Checking in and out was so simple with hosts who clearly communicated and ensured we knew just what to or where to get help if we needed it.
This house was everything it looks like from the listing and so much more. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, amazing historic character, three comfortable and well spaced out bedrooms, great outdoor space, lovely kitchen/dining room/living room and spotlessly clean. There was such a thorough, considerate touch in everything the host provided and all communications were seamless. While the house is not as secluded as other rentals, it is still very much a country road with only one other house in the immediate vicinity, and is on a beautiful patch of land with Saugerties and Woodstock a close drive (10 mins or so).
