At Gordon’s Place you can expect to get exactly what you see on the website. The view, the grounds, the apartment are all pristine. The apartment is very comfortably furnished with a sleek clean modern look. Everything you could wish for to enhance you Stowe vacation is there. The place was exceptionally clean and organized, and everything was in good working order. Less than 5 min from downtown Stowe. Highly recommend.
Lovely, modern, well-furnished house that’s dog-friendly and very close to Mount Stratton! We truly enjoyed our week there in August 2018. Host very responsive. The only wrinkle was the air conditioning: there were two portable units only, noisy, not very effective give the open space, and one of the units was leaking while operating. But we would happily stay again.
Jen & Jon’s home in Stowe was absolutely perfect. The house itself clean, had tons of towels and linens available, a beautiful kitchen, and everything else you’d need for a wonderful stay.
The location is super accessible and made going into the center of Stowe or traveling outside the area super easy. We did not go to the actual mountain, but it seemed very close to it.

Lauren and Chris have a gorgeous spot right on the river and moments away from hiking, swimming and general Vermont perfection. Jamaica, about 4 minutes away, has a cute little store for all basic food and amenity needs. The house is stunning, clean and stylish- fun games and darts in the house, great movie watching zones and perfect common space to cook, eat and hang out in. I’ll defintiely be returning as soon as I can.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful place! We had a terrific time for our family reunion of 15 people (a bunch of kids). The house was spacious and the outdoor environment was verdant and lush. The pool was terrific as well as the trampoline and swing. The house was nice and clean. The family room and public area was spacious and relatively modern. Kitchen was a bit dated but very functional. Lots of outdoor space for kids to run around and explore. Overall we had a terrific time! Camella was super responsive and easy to communicate with!
The Green Mountain Modern House is a great option for a trip to Vermont. The house manages to be centrally located near lots of hiking and great places to eat, yet manages to feel peaceful and tranquil, due to its location on a quiet road with almost no traffic. The house’s stylish design and decor contrast with the natural surroundings in a very nice way, making it a beautiful place to hang out and rest after a day of outdoor adventures. Chris and Lauren were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay, and they have a great list of recommendations of things to do in the area.
There is literally no comparison to this property. It’s like being in Scandanavia. The location inside the Green Mountain National Forest is phenomenal. We had an incredible time hiking at nearby Stratton. The best part about Lauren & Chris’s house is that it’s dog friendly and has space for the whole family. It’s one of the best AirBnBs we’ve ever stayed in. So many little details that really make it feel like home. We can’t wait to come back and to go leaf peeping!
The house is gorgeous! We came here for a ladies weekend (with doggies) and it was perfect. Location is really close to a number of trails and a beautiful drive up. House was super clean, had all the tools to cook dinner, and the hosts were really responsive when we failed hilariously at turning on the AC (our fault entirely). The hosts included a really helpful manual for the surrounding area with great recommendations. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway.
Lauren and Chris’s home was amazing and they thought of everything. So many of the little touches were great with the different magazines about Vermont and the area and the welcome note! Would highly recommend this place if you are wanting to get away from the city and experience the back country of Vermont!
Nice host. Easy to communicate with. Clear instruction about the check-in. To find the house is a little bit tricky for the first time when it’s dark outside, so it would be better to check in before the sunset. The house is clean and has everything you need to stay. We really had a nice time at the house. The location is great for visiting the town of Stowe or going south to access the highway taking you to other Vermont cities. Great house for staying in this area.

Excellent communication from Jen throughout the process. House was immaculately clean upon arrival. Amenities were exactly as described. Great location close to town with good views. Plenty of space for our group of 8. Kitchen was great for cooking large meals and very well stocked. Kids loved the entertainment area in the basement. Overall an exceptional experience.
I visited the Green Mountain Modern House in October and had an amazing time. The foliage was beautiful and loved spending time admiring the river on the other side of the road. The house is perfectly nestled off of a quiet road in the woods but still a super quick drive to town and the ski resorts. Really enjoyed connecting with the local shop owners. The house itself is beautiful, clean, and really well put together.

My husband, sister, daughter and her husband found Jen’s place to be just perfect for our weekend family get-together. To begin, Jen’s is amazingly responsive, so planning was a breeze. The house is located close to town on a quiet street up on a hill with a fantastic view. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked, open to the dining and living room areas. We enjoyed cooking one night, the hot tub most days, and hanging out playing board games in the evenings after spending the day out hiking. A very comfortable house. Everything Jen says it will be & more. We all wished we could have stayed longer.
The Green Mountain Modern House was EVERYTHING we hoped for in a Vermont retreat! The home is just as beautiful as in the photos — we could hardly tear ourselves away even to explore the beautiful area. The open living space is perfect for a group of friends or family to lounge, cook, play games (included in the house! :)), watch TV, everything. Lots of great games in the basement as well, and the grill outside — really you could spend so much time there and never want to leave.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were well-stocked, convenient, clean, with great high quality appliances. All the amenities were wonderful, from the great bath products to the sauna, Jacuzzi tub, fluffy white towels, etc. We had no needs that weren’t provided for.

This is an amazing house with a beautiful view! The space in the main living space is perfect with a family as the open plan makes it really easy to spend cosy nights cooking, playing games and eating together. The ground floor entertainment system and the hot tub were a huge hit with my family, who loved the Wii dance game and watching the sunset in the hot tub over the mountains. It is such a beautiful spot! The house is very spacious and clean and the master bedroom is spectacular. So spacious, lovely big bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower as well as a huge closet make it a great luxurious retreat. It is very charming and cosy, yet stylish. Great choice for a visit to Stowe!
We enjoyed a pre Christmas getaway here and couldn’t have been happier with the location, the home, and how easy everything is. The house is very thoughtfully appointed and easy to make yourself at home. The house is immaculate and the kitchen has all the basics and more. The location is perfect. Secluded and peaceful, with the river rushing by, but a very easy/pretty drive to all the resort amenities of Stratton. We had a great time and would highly recommend this home to others. We hope to return again!
The house was exactly as pictured, only nicer. Lots of games, and a HUGE tv that not included in the listing. The kitchen is very well equipped.
The location is great, near several nice villages. We enjoyed Woodstock especially. Lots of cute shops & nice restaurants. If you’re there on 12/24, do NOT miss Santa’s arrival at around 5 pm!

This is a remarkable and unique house set in a gorgeous setting in the Green Mountains. There are plenty of amenities nearby but the real beauty is that you can disconnect here and marvel in the quiet (except for the incredible brook!) and peace. It’s simply and stylishly decorated, well provisioned and has everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed – and to disconnect and spend time outdoors. This was great get away for our family of four!
The house was a beautiful place to stay. Great common areas – spacious kitchen, dining table sat six and plenty plates of food, and the living room was perfect for games with everyone or just watching tv. And all the bedrooms were very private. The two bathrooms were super clean. We spent most of the weekend in the house and it was a really pleasant cozy place to be. Hosts are lovely as well.
We enjoyed our stay at the Green Mountain Modern House. The home was very comfortable and cozy (our stay was during the winter and it was cold out!). The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and pots and pans. The beds were extremely comfortable. The big screen TV’s were also great. The open floor plan allows family members to be in the same space, but not feel crowded. The home is very close to Jamaica, VT and in the town a few things we enjoyed were: D&K Store, Change Yoga (hot yoga) and the Workhorse Cafe. There wasn’t much snow during our stay, so we didn’t get to snowboard as much as we would have liked. However, we did spend a day at Stratton and a day at Mount Snow snowboarding. We explored Manchester where we would highly recommend the Northshire Book Store. The Stratton Escape Room was a fun family activity. We recommend the Solo Farm & Table restaurant for dinner (suggest making reservations). We hiked along the river at the Jamaica State Park which was a beautiful trail (though somewhat icy due to the weather).
Stayed for a snowboarding trip and was amazed by the value. Gordan is very responsive and helpful. The place was everything we expected and more. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of space throughout. The property is beautiful as well. The views from the hot tub are breathtaking. No complaints and would defiantly recommend. Had a great time.
The Green Mountain Modern House is an excellent choice for a VT getaway! The house is exactly as pictured, situated next to a beautiful stream. It is close to Stratton and other mountains. Lauren and Chris were very responsive. The house itself is even bigger than we expected. It is stylish and fun and equipped with everything you could need. We truly can’t say enough good things about this house and our experience. We absolutely will be staying there again!
This is such a wonderful space – minimal, cozy, and incredibly clean. The kitchen is so big & nice to cook in! All the rooms are perfectly spaced apart & feel super private. The wood burning stove makes nighttime feel super warm and cozy. Communication was easy, and Declan responded right away when I had a little trouble with the front door. Can’t wait to come back!
Gordon was a wonderful host who answered questions promptly and was extremely accommodating. The space was clean, and well maintained, and the location was very close to both the ski resort and food. He even had local tips in the check in information to help us find good places to eat. We would definitely stay there again.
What a superb place to stay. Where do I even start, so much goodness about this house. Obviously it’s super modern, but also really cozy. You actually don’t feel like you are in the middle of the woods. The house was super clean and pretty much had anything and everything you need. Little tip when cooking in the kitchen, watch the glass that hangs over the stove we were concussed a few times 🙂
The house is right up the street from a great little market called D & K’s. You can pretty much get anything you need there. The home is also about a 15 minute ride to Stratton Mountain as well.

This house is great for a group because there’s so many rooms and a ton of bathrooms. The kitchen has great kitchen supplies – Le Creuset pots and pans, perfect for cooking for a large group. I really liked the decor – Anthony Bourdain photo in the kitchen was funny and a llama photo in the master. The master bath didn’t work but they sent someone to check on it right away and offered to have a plumber come. It takes a while for the house to warm up but it did warm up after a few hours or so. There’s lots of little nooks to sit and hang but not one huge living room – they are more broken off, so we did game night in the kitchen. Overall, cute decor and a very nice house. We had a lovely time staying here. The communication was pretty good – not as quick as other Airbnb’s – I had to follow up a couple times, but it was around the holidays so that could be why.
We had an excellent weekend in Stowe at this house! Jen was very communicative and even coordinated a slightly earlier check-in for our group. Key pick up was convenient. Was perfect size for three couples. We left the kids behind but the house was certainly well-suited had we brought them along. Some things we particularly enjoyed:

Also was delighted to see a foosball table.
Location: The cabin was nice and private and the winter views of the mountain were good. Proximity to town was decent, was easy (though pricey) to call a cab for pick up.
Best parts: We all enjoyed the hot tub which was clean, hot and kept us warm in the -10F weather. The bed in the master bed was incredibly comfortable and other guests also slept well. Loved the surround sound, and appreciated the clear instructions on how to use it! I am usually a wood-fire kind of girl but the gas fireplace was no-mess and gave off really nice heat.

Our group had a fantastic time at Breathe Inn over a long winter weekend. The house is beautiful with great decorative touches, a fantastic place to stay whether you’re enjoying the surrounding nature or cozying up to a fire and netflix. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to host a big group, we had more than enough room to fit 15 people very comfortably. Would definitely stay again!
