What an amazing space! It was extremely clean, stylish and conveniently located. It was such a cozy and comfortable winter escape in Vermont! Close to our favourite brewery The Alchemiste and near our favourite restaurant Prohibition Pig! Jennifer was extremely easy to communicate with! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else for our next trip to Vermont!
Loved staying at the Green Mountain Modern House! The house was already equipped with everything we might need and the hosts, Lauren and Chris, gave enough notice prior to check-in in terms of anything else we might need. One of them must work in branding because everything from the house manual to local brochures were branded as the house itself. The space was clean, minimalistic and super comfortable. As the organizer of the trip I was somewhat prepared, my guests were floored! Lauren and Chris have many new referrals and return guests coming their way!
Had a wonderful stay with a group of my friends, 6 of us, and plenty of space for all us. Home is a great design, which is what caught my attention in the first place. Great natural lighting from the windows and high ceilings.
Everything about the home is clean, cozy, and warm. Made full use of the kitchen had no issues.
Came here to relax and snowboard at Stratton Mountain, within a 15 minute drive very easy. Best of all the hosts were very easy to communicate with.

Gordon was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make our stay in Stowe great. We had a group of 6 people and the apartment worked perfectly! The two rooms and two futons worked well for our sleeping arrangements. The apt is decorated and stocked with all the things you would need for a long weekend ski trip where you don’t expect to do much cooking but that was just fine for me and my friends. Gordon provided plastic wine glasses and even a welcome bottle of wine— a warm touch to come into after a long drive up to Vermont. One of the best things to show how Gordon went above and beyond was when he asked if my friends and I wanted to go sledding and provided a handful of sleds for us to use (knowing some of our group was from Texas and had never done it before). We had a blast for an evening sledding since the front and back yards are perfect and it was something we never expected from our stay. Also, the hot tub: the best ending to a long ski day with sore muscles with a great morning and evening view. You can even see the night time groomer lights going up and down the mountain. All in all we had a stellar trip planned and Stowe is a great ski town, but it was Gordon’s hospitality and gorgeous Airbnb that was the cherry on top. We hope to come and stay again soon!
The property is amazing! Plenty of space for the 12 of us. Tons of room to play indoors and outdoors. The kitchen is incredible- anyone who likes to cook will be happy with this kitchen. The sleeping quarters are more than adequate. The fireplace and windows make an unforgettable atmosphere that the families will remember forever. Thank you!
Gordon was an excellent host and his property, beautiful … you wake in the morning and have a gorgeous view of the mountain. The downstairs condo was new, clean, and had every amenity you’d need. Hot tub and grill right outside too. Gordon was easily reachable. Great place to stay if you’re in Stowe! Would definitely return!
House was awesome and had everything we could ask for in a ski house. Was conveniently located close to the mountain and was great to come home after a long day skiing to heated floors and a toasty sauna. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be keeping my eye on the house the next time my friends and I plan a trip in the area again!
Nice alternative to the usual places on Stratton Mtn. Love the intimate town of Jamaica…just be prepared for navigating muddy roads to the Mtn. Lauren and Chris were at my fingertips at the click of a button which is reassuring when one is deep in the VT woods! This was my second year staying at the house and I’ll definitely be back!
Gordon was an incredible host. He made sure to walk us through and explain everything to us, even helped me with my bag! We arrived later than anticipated due to some serious CT traffic. Gordon greeted us so warmly as we arrived to show us to our door. We were thrilled to find a bottle of bubbly and handwritten note. So thoughtful.
The hot tub was perfect post ski and the stars came out to top off our magical out-of-city experience!
Gordon was very communicative and helpful. My girlfriends and I are hoping that the next time we visit Stowe that Gordon’s GORGEOUS place will be free!!!

This house is modern and slick and has wonderful amenities like a jacuzzi tub and sauna. The location is gorgeous, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen/living area is perfect for nice meals, hanging out and watching movies. Close to many great ski mountains. Lauren and Chris are wonderful. Clear communication and very helpful. We’ll be back!
Incredible experience overall for my entire family. The 62″ of fresh powder helped but even so, had a hard time coaxing my family from this absolutely stunning home. I believe we would have had just as great a time staying in all week.

Our group of 6 had a great time staying at the modern house for a 2 day ski trip. There was plenty of space for all of us–turned out to be a great value. Lauren, Chris, and Karen were super helpful and responsive before/during our stay. Check in/out is super simple. Great location with cool amenities. Highly recommend!
My family and I really enjoyed our trip to Stowe Vermont. Besides the amazing spring skiing we enjoyed and the fabulous restaurants we visited, this rental was perfect for us! The house was so warm and inviting and had all the comforts of home, including a spectacular, fully stocked kitchen to cook or bake if that’s your thing or to just hang out in the family room or play games and watch movies on the beautiful lower level of the home. There’s a fabulous jacuzzi on the deck with great views my husband and kids enjoyed and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. I look forward to staying here next time we all head up to Stowe. Thank you Jennifer for such a fantastic experience!
My drive up to the house from CT involves 4 roads. Yet somehow, I passed enough covered bridges (4) and perfect white churches framed by mountains (352, est.) that it all felt like a set up.
It wasn’t. Great location, beautiful, comfortable, private home. Plenty of amenities for downtime, probably the best 1-2 punch of shower/tub combinations I’ve ever had at a hotel/rental/airbnb (important to me). Chris & Lauren add a personal touch to everything here, and their care really shines. We loved our stay and look forward to returning!

Gordon was a wonderfully attentive and hospitable host. Not only was there a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived, but he provided lots of tips to make sure we made the most of our visit. His home is incredibly scenic, and we spent plenty of time just enjoying the views and wildlife in his backyard. The shared hot tub was an excellent way to unwind at the end of the day. Also, the bed and sheets were so comfortable, it made it difficult to get out of bed in the morning. Already looking forward to our next trip to Stowe!
We really loved staying here for a week in late May. The location is great: a quick drive to town yet secluded and quiet. We availed ourselves of the many opportunities for hiking within an hour’s drive (Merck Forest, Baker Peak, Stratton Pond, Equinox Mountain). Thanks to the well-outfitted kitchen and the nearby grocery stores, we enjoyed cooking every day. Thanks again for a perfect stay, Lauren and Chris!
Gordon’s space was exactly as advertised – very clean, quiet, and conveniently located. He was EXTREMELY responsive and checked in often to make sure we were all set. We were in Stowe for a couple of very hot days and Gordon’s wife Josée had the AC turned on for us when we arrived (thank god!). A great place to stay in Stowe that I would highly recommend !
Each year, our immediate family gathers from around the country for a family vacation. This year, we went to Jennifer’s place in Stowe and had the best time. The house was beautiful and well appointed. The service by Jennifer and her local team was great. And the location was perfect. Very glad we stayed at Jennifer’s place!
Lauren and Chris’s place was magnificent! The town of Jamaica, Vermont is quaint and charming. It’s a scenic, 4.5 hour drive from Brooklyn. The Green Mountain Modern House, is directly across from a stream with rocks. It’s quiet and peaceful. The house was spacious enough for 6 people and a dog. The top floor has two comfortable bedrooms that share a bathroom with shower and tub. The third bedroom has a bit more rustic cabin feel. It’s in the basement (which has an another exit) and ideal for dogs. We primarily all hung out in the open concept kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the culinary needs. “D& K’s Grocery” store about a 5 minute drive from the house. It has everything you can imagine, from freshly baked pies to local cheese’s and meats. At night, the outdoor fire pit was an enjoyable place to sit around and gaze at the stars. I’m already thinking about when we can get back to Vermont and stay again. Thank you, Lauren + Chris.
Lauren & Chris’s exceptional home in Vermont delivered on all of our expectations. Communication and arrival was easy and hassle-free. All of the spaces were clean, well appointed and prepared for us. The natural light in the house is wonderful and there are great visual connections between inside and outside.

The green mountain modern home is every bit as nice as the photos show. Modern, comfortable, and relaxing. The amenities were great, as was communication and support from the owners. For a dog-friendly home, it was very clean and furnishings were nice.
We enjoyed exploring and splashing around in Ball Mountain Brook across the road, and venturing up the road to the falls. In winter, I’d imagine it’s proximity to Stratton Mtn is fantastic (close enough to be there in 15 min, far enough to have a little quiet space).
It’s an easy bike ride to the very small town of Jamaica, or a little farther drive to Rawsonville (small store and restaurant in each). Note – neither have a sizeable grocery store though, so if you are preparing for an extended stay and like to cook, I’d recommend stopping for supplies on the drive in.

We had such a great time in your home, in your yard, and in the area. It far exceeded our expectations. The yard was great for spending time outside relaxing, picking raspberries for breakfast, and playing fetch with our dog. There was no need unmet in the home it was beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable. As for Jamaica,VT. it was exactly what we wanted – close enough to do stuff but no so close stuff was coming to us. Thanks again for our stay at the Green Mountain Modern House.
