Everything was perfect. The location and view were idyllic. The accommodation was comfortable and exactly as described. Cooling off by jumping in the pool or watching the sunset with a beer in the hot tub was perfection. Add to this that Gordon is a fantastic host, and went out of his way to make himself available to help with any tips or recommendations we needed. I typically like to add at least one item to improve to show it’s a genuine review but I honestly can’t think of anything in this instance. The best airbnb experience I have had.
Just returned from a wonderful stay at this airbnb in Stowe, VT. The owner made us feel welcome even before we arrived. The hot tub was a delightful way to end our days while taking in the wonderful views. I highly recommend this airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in the Stowe area!! Can’t wait to return!
Amazing hosts and very caring people. The house is absolutely beautiful, and very clean. Adjustable temperature, wifi, and comfortable beds. Had a great time and great place to stay with beautiful surroundings. The hot tub was easy to operate and overlooks the mountains and the trees, as well as the house pond! The hosts were helpful with providing information, both about the house and the town, and knew what activities were the best. Overall, it was a safe and beautiful place to stay, with everything above and beyond what one would need for comfort. Would absolutely recommend this place to a friend and visit again!
This stay was everything I hoped it would be. The house and location are simply magical – the access to nature (bears!) and little hidden gems strewn across the property made the weekend so special. Every detail was considered and the heart and soul put in the home is apparent. Camella is an A+ host, and I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed in Jen’s home August 18-20, 2017 for a girls weekend. Her home is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully maintained. The weather didn’t cooperate for the entire weekend but we were able to enjoy time under cover while in the hot tub.
We spent the Saturday at Stowe Mountain Resort, which is only about 15 minutes away. We took part in the Zip Lining adventure and enjoyed everything about it….so fun!!
Jen was more than willing to offer suggestions for places to eat and things we might enjoy doing during our stay.
There was an alarm going off in the house Friday night (alarm was on water treatment system in maintenance room). We contacted Jen Friday night and she had a contractor to the house on Saturday. Wonderful service.

My friends and I decided to take a lovely vacation up to Stowe and were blown away by the hospitality shown by Gordon as well as the location of the home. The view is even better than the pictures show and the house was very comfortable and roomy. There are many perks including being able to use the lovely, well maintained hot tub, the gorgeous pond in the yard, and even a fire pit for roasting smores before bed. The owners were very great at knowing when to check in and allowed us to use their space with no issues. All in all, this is a lovely location and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful town.
Gordon was great to work with and his place was beautiful! Gordon was incredibly hospitable and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great too – central to everything we wanted to do in Stowe and close to Burlington. Gordon communicated promptly and was great about offering suggestions for area attractions when needed. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Gordon!
lauren & chris’ modern cabin in the green state forest is beautiful and the perfect place to stay in the southern VT area. i can highly recommend staying there – the hosts lauren & chris were super friendly and provided numerous recommendations for the area. the modern cabin is a feast of design and nature meeting in the most amazing setting. the house has everything you need from the basics to an array of extras like the sauna, tv/game room and of course the BBQ area. i loved the open plan lounge and kitchen area, which had great views onto the river and mountain back drop. do not miss the cold brew at the north country general store! i would happily recommend this place and its get 10/10 from me. i will definitely be going back!
We had a great 4-night stay at this cabin during the fall. The place is large and spacious and filled with modern amenities which are perfect if you want to cook meals as we did. In fact we didn’t even use the space downstairs; it would be perfect for a small group of 2 or 3 couples.
Location was good for taking scenic drives or for long bike rides around the hills. We came prepared with enough food for our stay so can’t comment on grocery shopping, but we did stop in to a decent-sized local farm co-op nearby which would cover most items. We could gently hear the river flowing in the evening which was relaxing. The road did have occasional traffic driving by but it was not constant.
Overall a great place for a few days away in the hills!

Gordon’s place in Stowe is wonderful. The location is great (close to Ben and Jerry’s factory and Cold Hollow cider mill, our new favourite places!) and the views really are stunning, especially when viewing it from the hot tub! Gordon was really helpful and we were greeted with a bottle of bubbly and a lovely welcome card when we arrived. The rooms themselves are clean, bright and spacious and the bar/mini kitchen area was really useful. I’d definitely recommend it and would love to stay there again in the future!
The house is lovely, very stylish and super clean. It has everything that you may need: plenty of towels, toiletries, pantry. Everything in the house is very thoughtful. The house is located in a beautiful secluded area with a small river just across the street. Lauren And Chris shared useful tips in advance and were easy to communicate with. There is no cell service, make sure to have your directions and instructions ready.
Extremely happy with our stay here! Gordon was very accomadating and stayed in contact with us before and during our stay. Gordon and his wife Jocyee are very friendly and helpful. The house was very cozy and well maintained. This place had great amenities. The view from the hot tub is amazing, over looking the man made pond with a great view of the mountains. My family and I highly recommend this place and hope to stay here again in the near future .
My second stay at the cabin and I was again impressed by the place and area. We love Vermont and this is the perfect spot if you are keen on skiing in Stratton or just want to chill for the weekend. It’s such a unique place filled with everything you need. Definitely don’t forget to go to the North Country General Store. A true jewel right on tor doorstep. Great craft beer, coffee and food. Green Mountain Modern House is the most unique spot in the area. The interior is super clean and has a very modern design. Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave.

An amazing space with a breathtaking view!! Gordon was super responsive and helped us settle in and get situated for a beautiful getaway. The home is situated in a quiet area, perfect to unplug after a day charging down the mountain or shuttling around Stowe or Waterbury. The house was well furnished, spotless and exactly as advertised. Strongly recommended for a getaway to refresh and reflect!
This was a great place to retreat to with friends and ring in the New Year together. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery and we enjoyed making meals for the group. There was plenty of cabinet and counter space to bring food and snacks.
The House was clean and the hosts were very communicative and easy to coordinate with.
Call dibs on the bedroom in the basement – it was amazing and so cozy! It was also very quiet. The upstairs bedrooms are open and if anyone is in the living room or kitchen, you can hear everything.
We had a great time and loved the modern house.
