The pictures and description of the property on Airbnb are understated — this is an awesome place to stay while in Stowe! Our experience was excellent all the way around. Jennifer is a very responsive host. We were never at a loss for anything. The house if fully stocked with everything you need in the way of cooking equipment, utensils, linens, laundry and bathroom supplies. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Wonderful experience! If you are planning to visit Stowe, definitely stay at Gordon’s house! Gordon was very helpful and patient. He made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Plus the house was just amazing with all amenities as described in the post. I just left yesterday and am missing the view from the outdoor Jacuzzi already…

We absolutely loved our stay in Stowe at Gordon’s place! Gordon met us on our arrival and spent plenty of time showing us around the place and answering questions as well as great suggestions about the area. I can’t say enough about how nice the place was as well as the incredible view from the back of Mt. Mansfield! We didn’t take advantage of the nice hot tub but it was available to us. He even started a nice fire in the backyard for us to enjoy the cool evening with. We would highly recommend anyone considering visiting Stowe to consider Gordon’s place! We will absolutely choose this as our place to stay when we return!

Camella was a gracious and accommodative host! She allowed us to pitch a couple of tents for front yard camping which the kids enjoyed! She also extended our checkout time on the last day by an hour! She is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips. The place was as depicted on Airbnb, tastefully decorated and extremely beautiful! Our group had a great time staying at her place!
Gordon made us feel extremely welcome and while the weather wasn’t quite what we expected the trip was still fantastic. Gordon really went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay including great recommendations, being flexible and accommodating and even brushing the snow off our car in the morning. The location allowed us to access a number of great activities and the view is truly fantastic even with the rain, snow and clouds. I’m ready to come back for ski season! Thanks for everything!
We had a great time and absolutely loved everything about our stay. The view is just amazing even if we didn’t get out of the property.
The best part is that the owner sent us everything that we needed to know before traveling so we knew exactly what to expect and could prepare ourselves for the trip.

Camella was a great host. The house is very large and comfortable – just as described and the pictures are all accurate. In fact, it’s probably nicer than what is pictured. We had a great time even though it was Fall and the pool was off-limits but I can only imagine what it would be like in the Summer. We will definitely try to go again.
Gordon was a wonderful host! He made our stay in Stowe more than enjoyable. His hospitality and the amenities of his home were fantastic! The location of his home is also great, especially for skiing and also visiting local spots around the area. Highly recommended and will be back the next time we stay in Stowe!

Location – scenic, beautiful, short drive into village of Stowe. 20 minutes to Stowe Mountain Resort for skiing, and a pleasant drive…as long as it isn’t snowing. If it is snowing definitely plan to leave the house early/come back early to avoid traffic (7.30am/2.30pm).

I had never rented an Airbnb before and this couldn’t have been a better first experience. Jennifer was super helpful—answering questions even beyond the house itself. As for the house, it exceeded expectations. It’s stocked with anything you could imagine needing, is in an ideal location, and is just oh so cozy. I’d definitely recommend this place to others.
Gordon’s place was perfect for our group of 4. His place was modern, incredibly clean and had everything we needed for our ski weekend (loved the hot-tub!). The views from the house are stunning and it’s a short drive to the mountain. Gordon and his son Perry were very responsive and friendly by text/email as well. Thanks so much for a great stay!!
This house was just perfect! Jennifer was super responsive whenever I had questions leading up to our stay. The pictures don’t do it justice! Our group of friends really enjoyed the kitchen and the open space. The hot tub was a huge hit, especially after a long day of skiing! The most enjoyable thing about the house was how clean an well kept it was, you really feel like you are on a vacation in a beautiful mountain home! We hope to come back!
We really enjoyed Gordon’s place. Everything was as described-clean, comfortable, and convenient to the mountain. The hot tub was fantastic, especially after skiing in ten inches of fresh powder! Gordon was responsive to all our needs, including providing bedding for a last minute addition to our group, who slept very comfortably on one of the couches.
Wonderful property. My family of 4 stayed at the home for 3 nights during ski season. The property was just as described in the listing. Gordon and Josee made us feel right at home and the location can’t be beat. Beautiful views of the mountains and we can only imagine how pretty the lake would be in the summer.
This place is beautifully situated atop a hill with a view of Mt. Mansfield. Its quiet, private, and away from the busy areas, yet close enough to everything to zip to quickly. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the hosts even turned out all the lights for us so we could relax in the Jacuzzi under a beautiful full moon. It was absolutely amazing. The rooms are big and beds are comfy, the living room in well appointed with beautiful views, and the bathroom was spotless with awesome water pressure in the shower for a relaxing hot shower. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic getaway, some privacy, or beautiful views. Gordon and his wife were extremely accommodating and a pleasure to meet.
This cabin in is truly as described, cozy and elegant. I stayed here with my executive team to do a team leadership development retreat and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location, cleanliness, size, heat, etc. everything was functional and we were incredibly cozy by the fire as we watched 36 inches of snow fall on Stowe – absolutely beautiful. The place was easy to find and half-way between Waterbury and Stowe which made it easy to go out to eat when we wanted, but we were also fully able to stay-in as the gourmet kitchen was a cook’s dream. Highly recommend this house for a couple of couples, small families, or a small executive team.
Gordon’s place is a great setup. You enter around behind the house with a private entrance. The living room was very accommodating for our group (2 couples) to chill and visit. The bedrooms were perfect for adults (finally a place that doesn’t stack 4-6 bunk beds in the 2nd room.) The private hot-tub with gorgeous serene views of mount Mansfield made apre-ski recovery enjoyable. We used the bar area to make toasted bagels and coffee before hitting the slopes in the morning, and to make Pre-dinner cocktails and after dinner digestifs. We had a great time. We will return!
Springtime in Vermont is a well kept secret. This lovely home allowed us to relax and enjoy the sunshine on the deck, dinner at sunset, and the sounds of happy birds at sunrise. We are a retired couple and used it as a base to explore the area. Beautiful drives up to the Northeast Kingdom and into the surrounding areas. Nice walking/biking path through Stowe Village. Plentiful restaurants in town but the gourmet kitchen invites cooking at home. Beds are comfy and the nice breeze is a welcome change from city stuffiness. City of Burlington is only a half hour away with cobblestone Church Street filled with shops and cafe outdoor restaurants. This home is perfect for friends, families, or couples wanting a comfortable place to relax and just enjoy the area.
My sister and I recently met for a sisters getaway to this gorgeous home and it far exceeded our expectations. We arrived Friday afternoon and enjoyed drinks on the expansive deck, overlooking the mountains, with cool breezes and comfortable seating. There was an abundance of seating, and even a large hot tub for those that may be interested. We made dinner at home Friday night, and watched a movie in the super cozy lower level. The surround sound was amazing! Although it was just the two of us, there is plenty of seating for a large group. The location was perfect for us to get out and about on Saturday, very near to many attractions, and we enjoyed the most fresh and delicious brunch Sunday at an adorable place just down the road. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well with the windows open, soft breezes, and happily chirping birds during the morning hours. The kitchen was well appointed, with anything we needed. We are already excited about another stay in this gorgeous home!
Gordon’s house is beautiful. Just like in the pictures. The hot tub is great as is the pond. The view is just breathtaking! Gordon and his wife were great hosts and invited us for dinner the first night. He made sure we had a great time and helped us with everything we needed. I can’t wait to come back with my parents. I highly recommend this place for a nice Vermont getaway.
From Boston and it was our first time to Stowe and it was awesome! The place was as described and the property was beautiful. Gordon was a fantastic host and extremely accommodating. Communication prior to and during our stay was prompt and the guidebook had everything we needed to know! We arrived a little later than expected due to a little traffic getting out of the city at rush hour and it was no problem. The hot tub at night was very serene. If we’re ever in Stowe again, would absolutely without a doubt stay here again. I would highly recommend this place to any friends or family. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
My family just returned from celebrating our mother’s 90th birthday and we had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s house. It’s great for a group-lovely, well equipped kitchen and charming accommodations.
We asked for a bath mat for mom and not only did they provide one immediately, but added a safety bar to the shower.
