We had a wonderful stay celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday. It felt like a true spa-style mini getaway during a snowy weekend.
The hot tub, sauna, gorgeous shower and soaking tub made it feel so luxurious. The bath products were a thoughtful touch, the warming toilet was a big hit, and the house was incredibly well stocked with snacks and a full coffee bar. Even in the snow it was beautiful — we can only imagine how special it is in the summer right on the lake.
Overall, we made such special memories and would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay! We skied at Magic which was 7 mins down the street. The house was spacious, cozy, comfortable and clean. We loved the massive comfortable couch. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies. The coffee maker was perfect. The 2 king beds were lovely and super comfortable with nice linens. The master shower was like being at a spa. The road to the house was quiet and private. We would definitely rent again.
Our families have been vacationing annually and consistently finding new area to explore. Coming from NYc and Massachusetts this was a nice middle ground for us. Collectively we were four adults and five kids that all fit comfortably in the cabin an having access to the barn and outdoor space made our stay special. We felt comfortable letting our kids explore the area on their own and were able to relax while they played outside. The host was responsive throughout or stay and helpful in guiding us through the local area. We will definitely looking to return and would recommend to any other travelers.
Fantastic condo with easy access to the mountain shuttle, just a 5 minute walk away. The condo itself was exactly as described. It was clean and had pretty much everything my family needed for a 4 day ski trip to Stowe. The hot tub and pool are a short walk away at the community center, which also has kids games and game tables. 100% would stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay at Skyhawk Cabin. Our family has stayed at multiple Red Cottage properties and while every one is special this one in particular was one of our favorites. We loved the proximity to Okemo and the nearby Butcher & Pantry. The house was well designed and the Red Cottage team was so helpful to work with as always. We can’t wait to go back!
The Whistling Oak was incredible. The property was gorgeous (it was covered in snow when we were there, so I could only imagine how nice it would be in the spring or summer), and the surrounding area is great! We loved vintage shopping in Hudson, and there are some great general stores and restaurants nearby.
We’re looking forward to coming back!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Red Cottage. We chose this home for its proximity to Stratton Ski Resort, just a quick 10-minute drive to the lifts and village. The house itself was the perfect size for the 4 of us, and after long days on the slopes, the sauna was incredible. The only minor drawback was that the snowfall covered the river steps away from the home, but that just gives us another reason to come back in the spring or summer! 10 out of 10!

We were just 20 minutes from skiing, and after a full day on the slopes, it was such a treat to come back, unwind, and then head out again to explore the nearby restaurants and little shops. There were so many great dining options close by — cozy spots with amazing food and that classic New England charm.
The host was very helpful and responsive when we inquired for information.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay – the house was clean, very well-appointed, and the location is great with Bromley only ~5 minutes away. Our kids also loved their stay in the bunk room! The only note I’d make is that the main living room was a bit small / tighter than we’d expected – though there are plenty of hangout spaces in the upstairs and basement as well.
We had a fun time all together at the Red Cottage. It was big enough for 2 families and our nannies and everyone got to have a shared space but also there was enough room for privacy too. We had the kids stay while we went to ski and there was equipment in kitchen and we were able to get groceries delivered too. 20 min from the ski lifts, lots of good restaurants and family friendly activities. I do wish there was a sleigh or toboggan or something because we got so much snow up there the kids would’ve loved that as there’s a hill just a mile away. The view is gorgeous and we had a great time. Thanks for sharing your space with us.
It’s the little things that make a difference: fresh flowers on the table, coffee machine with a bag of ground coffee and filters, everything clean and organized, a pool table with a cue in great shape. A lot of the times places have pictures of all these but when you get there they’re in disarray. Not here! Had an amazing stay for a weekend ski trip
We had a really lovely time at this property! The host graciously provided us with all the information we needed to find and access the property easily. The house itself was beautiful and quite spacious. We had 10 guests and everyone was able to sleep in a bed. The basement bar especially felt cozy and functional.
We enjoyed our ski trip at Eric’s place. Nice location, close to several resorts, enough room for 6 of us. Great jacuzzi for relaxing after the day. I wasn’t aware that there are 2 units in one big chalet, has upper and lower rental listings. But we were happy to meet the host and his dog during our stay. The thermometer stopped working on the second day which makes the living room a little bit chill to stay, but bedrooms are warm and cozy.
We stayed here for a ski week as two families and had a wonderful time. The house truly lives up to its name, perched at the top of the hill with gorgeous mountain views and incredible privacy. It was very peaceful and perfect for relaxing after skiing. The open floor plan made it easy for everyone to spend time together, the master bedroom was beautiful, and the cozy fireplace was a favorite spot in the evenings. Highly recommend!
