We really loved our stay at this house. It is family friendly. We had enough room for the 5 of us. The bedrooms were all approved by the kids. It a really comfortable space between the kitchen and living room. We also enjoyed the porch, hot tub and firepit. The house is really beautiful my wife and daughters loved the bathrooms and kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and it was nice to slow down.
Cozy little cabin with beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed taking walks in the area as well as just lounging on the deck. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The cabin overall made a very comfortable home away from home. Our host was excellent and very responsive.
Our stay at Sugar Mountain House was fantastic! The house had everything in the listing and so much more. The pool was especially fantastic, and the kitchen was well stocked. The house is thoughtfully laid out and gorgeously renovated and maintained. We brought our 4 and 1 year olds with us and they were so comfortable there with lots of toys and games for them to play with during our downtime. We had easy access to so many family friendly activities and the week flew by!
Andrew’s place is in a beautiful location, my pup Bandit and I had a relaxing stay and took advantage of lots of local hiking and restaurants in Stowe. We especially loved the sizeable property itself, we spent many hours lounging by the pond, poking around the lawn and woods, taking walks up the gravel road for views of the mountains, and star gazing on the deck off the living room. The gas fireplace was a lovely addition to relaxing evenings. The house itself was immaculate and comfortable, and had all features and amenities described. Highly recommend!
The Green Mountain Tiny House was absolutely adorable. We arrived after dark and it was hard to find the driveway as there’s no immediate signs from the road and then house number was hard to see, but we figured it out. The home was clean and cozy, and had most of what we needed for cooking. It is smaller then the pictures seem, and there were limited options as to where to put our bags, but it worked perfectly for us. The hot water was also sparing, going in and out as we showered or washed dishes, but that was to be expected based on prior reviews. I would definitely stay here again!!
Really loved this place! Perfect location – close enough to Great Barrington and Stockbridge for easy exploring, but tucked away for peace and quiet.
The outdoor patio became our favorite spot – we ate multiple meals out there and spent hours lounging on the great outdoor furniture. When evening got chilly, that fireplace was just what we needed. A few days were warm and humid, and we were so grateful for the air conditioning – the mini splits in each bedroom and main living room kept everyone comfortable.
Kitchen had everything we needed, the washer/dryer was something we loved having access to, and we slept really well on those comfortable beds. Property was spotless and well-maintained. Red Cottage was very responsive throughout.
We’re already talking about coming back!

Our group had an amazing weekend stay! The house is incredible – it is spotless, stocked with everything you might need, and is beautifully designed and decorated down to the smallest details. We were happy to squeeze in using the pool at the tail end of summer, and the host was quick to respond to adjusting to pool temperature. We were all truly sad to leave, and are already plotting our next visit!!
Amazing property for our family trip! Stunning surroundings, hiking trails right out the front door, a pond loaded with fish, and a playground on the property for kids. I cannot say enough about this rental. The owner was staying at the main house during our stay and stopped by to ask if we needed anything which was great. It was perfect for us. Comfortable and clean we will definitely be staying again.
We had a great weekend in Manchester at the Winterberry Farmhouse. The home was clean and comfortable, with updated and stylish decor. The rooms/beds were as advertised, and the hosts have added a lot of nice touches – white noise machines in every room, snacks upon arrival, and a great selection of puzzles, board games and books for guests to enjoy.
The house and amenities were as described. The yard was beautifully landscaped with gorgeous views to make you not want to leave. The landscaping was so impeccably done. We sat admiring the different plans and shrubs. We got a few ideas for home. Location was perfect and close to all the activities we did. The host was responsive the 2 times we reached out. This house was definitely worth it and is on our list for future visits to the area.
Second time staying in this airbnb. It’s the perfect peaceful escape! The sauna hadn’t yet been installed the first time I stayed here, so that was such a treat this time around. The place is super clean. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The beds are comfortable! No doubt you will love your stay!
An exquisite and captivating home, beautifully appointed throughout – sitting on eight manicured and very private acres. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, the heated pool during the day and gazing up at the stars while sitting by the fire pit in the evening. Mary, Beverly and the entire Red Cottage staff were amazing and easy to communicate with, and excelled in terms of quick responsiveness. We spent an absolutely wonderful week at the Hidden Oasis and if it is available, we look forward to returning in 2026 : – )
We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The home was large with a wonderful deck over looking Orange Lake. The sunsets were magnificent. The furnishings on the deck were top of the line along with the kayaks which we truly enjoyed. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, this rental will fill the bill.
Wonderful, well appointed property right on the river. Beautiful decor, stocked kitchen, great outdoor space. Interior is on the small side, but every space is thoughtfully designed and our family of 4 was very comfortable. Great bonus room downstairs too! One thing to note is turning right out of the driveway onto the main road can be challenging as there is a blind turn approaching the driveway. We rolled down our window to listen for oncoming cars.
My husband and I stayed at Andrew’s for our honeymoon, it was lovely! Everything was easy to find, clean, and communication was quick! Would definitely stay here again. We fell in love with the area, especially the walking trails in Stowe. We loved that the location was remote, yet not far from everything we planned to do during our visit to Vermont. It reminded us of our own home while still feeling like a getaway. Highly recommend!
Very nice house beautifully furnished with everything we needed. For us and our two little girls the supply of books and games was more than we could hope for. The book collection was exquisite, many were very old and yet timeless, I wish our public libraries had those! Puzzles and board games in the Josie also kept my family occupied so much that I didn’t have to open the stash that I brought from home, let alone needing to turn on tv (my family is screen free and this was a winning point).
Kitchen had stainless pans which was very important to a health-obsessed freak like me, as most Airbnb places that I’ve visited usually just have non stick scratched Teflon cookware.
The only thing that wasn’t 5 star was bedding. Mattresses were a little too soft. But that’s personal preference. And I felt like the first floor bathroom was made for giants: kids couldn’t reach the sink without a stool (thoughtfully provided by the owners). And I could barely reach shower head , I’m 5’4”.
