Beautiful property. Great area. Simple and easy check in process. Would definitely come back.Being next to a main road wasn’t an issue for us as it is still a vast improvement over the city, but it can break up the harmonius sounds of nature occasionally. Quiet at night though with phenomenal stars. Some of the amenities and little things need some TLC like the darts for the dartboard or some lightbulbs that need replacing. Last guest could have definitely done a better job of cleaning off the grill as well. No HDMI accessibility on the tv so leave your video games at home and enjoy nature!Would definitely recommend!
We were family with mixed of school age children, young adults and older people. The grounds were great. We used the pool everyday. The tennis court was in good shape. The trails around the property were well maintained. Hudson, Red Hook and Millerton are quite accessible. The porch and outdoor spaces near the house were lovely.
We had a great time in Jamaica! The house was adorable, and we really loved having the brook just steps away! My kids also loved the little details inside such as the heart shaped rocks (which inspired us to look for our own), the LEGO model of the house, and the plethora of games and activities available for the evenings. We also loved hiking and exploring the surrounding parks and waterfalls!
We loved this house! The porch is amazing. We had family game nights, s’more’s in the back fire pit, movie night on the big screen projector, and delicious breakfast and dinners made with ingredients from the local farmer’s market. Access to the lake and pool were a favorite from our kids. The house fit our family perfectly and we had an unforgettable summer vacation!
This house was perfect for our Stowe vacation. It is actually more lovely than pictured. We traveled with our two boys, 14 and 11. They were thrilled to have their own rooms and hang out space. I loved everything from the fully stocked kitchen, book selection, comfy beds, hot tub, and cozy outdoor sitting area. It’s a short drive to attractions, hikes, shops, and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!
We had an unforgettable multigenerational family getaway at this beautiful mountain home. The house was spacious, immaculately maintained, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The kids (and adults!) had a blast in the pool and hot tub, and the large yard was perfect for wiffle ball games and flying kites. One of the most heartwarming highlights was watching our 7-year-old grandson play with his 81-year-old great-grandfather—memories we’ll cherish forever.Evenings around the awesome fire pit were a favorite for everyone, with plenty of room to relax, laugh, and connect. This home truly offered something for every generation. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and make memories. Highly recommend!
My whole experience was wonderful. Beautiful scenery, clean, safe location. They put out snacks, had lovely green toiletries and products available, the bed was comfortable and they even put out doggie bowls for my dog. Very hospitable with all the nice touches for a guest. Thank you again for having me. Would book again!
This was an unexpected trip for our family. We needed something that would comfortably handle a group of 10. When looking online, the Taghkanic House fit the need but when we got there, it was so much more. The layout and the amenities made it such an enjoyable stay. Plenty of towels, comfy beds, a well stocked kitchen; everything you would expect.
The indoors was great for kids with plenty of room to play and run around. I wouldn’t say that the outdoors is as young kid friendly.
The house is off the beaten path with a drive through the woods. Watchout for all the deer in the area. You’ll see deer all the time you’re there. I would strongly encourage a 4-wheel drive vehicle to drive up the hill to the house. Low clearance vehicles may struggle. It is sooooo worth the drive because the views are spectacular. We were able to enjoy the views the entire time we were there because of the huge windows throughout the house.

Our Labor Day weekend at this gorgeous Bushkill property was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful woodwork, the spacious and welcoming kitchen, and the peaceful surroundings that instantly put us at ease.
Gathering around the table with our family, sharing meals, laughter, and stories made this place feel like home. The fire pit gave us cozy nights under the stars, and the jacuzzi was the perfect spot to relax and unwind together. Being surrounded by nature, with no neighbors nearby, made it feel like our own private retreat.

Amazing house, wish the pond was accessible but everything else was great! We ended up going to Lake Superior State Park 20 minutes away, which was really nice. Great lighting, spacious with a well equipped kitchen, we had a marvellous time. The fire pit and wooden stove were great amenities for an unseasonably cold weekend!

Beautiful property that was incredibly well equipped. Not only were the larger amenities like the pool, hot tub, sauna and cold plunge fantastic, but the house is stocked with every cooking tool you could possibly need. The hosts also provide all cooking essentials (spices, sauces, flour, salt, sugar etc) as well as an amazing coffee and tea set up, with tons of nespresso and milk options. The bedrooms are also set up very nicely, will great bedding and robes, slippers etc.
Lastly, the kids room is amazing especially if you have kids aged 3-10. Bunk beds, toys, art supplies, etc.
Will definitely book again and check out Red Cottage’s other properties.

We enjoyed our stay at Red Cottage’s Pine Plains home. The house was pristine. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and there was a chill in the air but the individual mini split units in each room kept us cozy. The location is in a great spot: so close to Millerton (like 8 minutes) and just a half hour to Red Hook or Rhinebeck. The outdoor area is a great place to hang and we used the grill on a couple nights – even made s’mores one night in fire pit. The kitchen is well stocked. The owners must love to cook. The bathrooms are both renovated and a plus that you didn’t think you needed but definitely don’t mind– each have a great view. The living room had enough space for our group of five and the huge TV (with streaming channels) was welcome after a long days of raspberry picking (Red Hook) or hiking nearby.
Spectacular place for our family reunion in the Berkshires! So spacious and beautifully furnished, with windows for light to enter at every point during the day and outdoor seating in multiple locations (patios, front porch). We loved browsing the bookshelves and found the exercise cabinet (yoga mats and rollers) on the last day. Best Air BnB kitchen ever! Plenty of working space, with everything carefully labeled so there was no searching! And the host provided everything – spices, baking pans (with parchment paper), a range of pots and pans, great outdoor grill. Easy drive into nearby towns — West Stockbridge, Stockbridge, Lenox, Great Barrington, even Williamstown — so we were able to enjoy theater (Berkshire Theatre Group), museums (Clark Art Institute, Norman Rockwell Museum, Edith Wharton’s home The Mount) and — if we’d had more time — Tanglewood is just down the road. We mostly cooked at home, but there are many great restaurants nearby. We would love to return!
House is absolutely beautiful. Quite large and can sleep many guests. Very warm and cozy and the balcony with the views is awesome. Has everything you need. All bedrooms had full bathrooms, which makes everything easier. Private and relaxing. Nice little town nearby with great food. Overall, very clean, modern, and comfortable home. Would suggest this house to anyway looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Would come back again for sure!
