Overall had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend and return. Great private out of the way location that is still within short driving distance to Portland and other surrounding areas. Nice organized binder with recommendations on places to go and things to do in the area. The loft to relax in at night with the skylight that you can open and get the fresh night air and pop up to see the stars at night really capped off a peaceful vacation we were looking for.
This is a gorgeous farmhouse in an idyllic setting. The house itself is well appointed and was the perfect spot for our two families to spread out and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare elaborate meals for our large group. The house is situated near a few towns and is the perfect place for a fun and restful time in the Catskills. We liked the decor too! Thank you!
I recommend it for a family weekend getaway – beautiful grounds and so much outdoor space for the kids to run around and activities. There was a zip line, ping pong table, and plenty of board games so the kids were occupied the entire weekend. The inside fit us all (9 adults, 6 kids) comfortably and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is a Victorian house so a little old in places, creaky and thin walls. Make sure to bring shower supplies as that was not supplied, but definitely pleasantly surprised with how good the hot water was.
Only bummer was that even though we paid a premium for the pool, we didn’t swim in it because it was so cold even though it was 70s and sunny outside during the day. I think the heater just isn’t equipped to recover from the cooler night of upstate New York.

Our team really enjoyed our stay! The house was gorgeous, super clean, quiet, and very private. Just 10-15 minutes to very good restaurants and a grocery store. This place is great for a group because each room is about the same size, have their own thermostats, and none of the rooms have en suite bathrooms. The layout/floor plan has a big bathroom between each of the two rooms on each of the 3 floors, plus a 1/2 bath on main floor. This made it easy to claim rooms for the 5 of us in our group. We also loved that the kitchen had some spices, condiments, and olive oil stocked.

We took a last bit of summer trip as a group of women ranging in age and had the best time at this property! While it was a little tricky to find at first (it’s truly secluded) the house exceeded our expectations in every way- clean, fully stocked, ample lounge spaces, and beautiful decor details in every corner. This time we had no kids but the house also was impressively equipped with kid friendly toys/high chair/bedding/etc. We would happily come back to this house next summer!
The Victorian cottage is just as sweet as it looks in the pictures and maybe even more. My son and his sweetheart loved sitting outside in the back yard. I was a bit surprised by the traffic noise when outside, but inside it was barely audible. On the other hand it was fun and nostalgic to put on a record and listen to music that I loved the way we used to listen to it – on vinyl, a turntable, etc. But staying there for 2 nights there was not much time since Hudson and vicinity offered us a lot. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast in the amazingly well equipped and large eat-in kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect. All in all a very good experience.
My partner and I really enjoyed this space. We’re both very particular and kind of neat-freaks, and this place had us feeling comfortable taking our shoes off! It was very clean and I personally really appreciated that there were no strong scents in the house. I’m really sensitive in terms of allergies, and their linens and soaps and everything were non-toxic and didn’t have me feeling sick. The location was great — really easy to get to some central spots. This was also my first time staying in a tiny home and it was surprisingly, very spacious. Both my partner and I mentioned how comfortable we were. The hosts were also very responsive when we had random questions, which was a bonus. 10/10!
This is our second time staying at this house and we had another great stay. Anthony, Faith, and Wildwood are great hosts and very thoughtful. The house was very clean and comfortable. We also love that the house is dog friendly and has a fenced in backyard. We always enjoy walking on the dirt, gravel road nearby along the stream in the afternoon/evenings.
