An absolutely GORGEOUS property set in a charming wooded area. The entire home is updated like new—modern with charm! Great flow on the upper floor with open concept kitchen, dining, and living. Downstairs has cute second living room, a darling bedroom, and second bath with shower. Bed was super comfortable, and the AC and ceiling fans cooled the entire house. But the best part about the cozy home is its locale: It is perfectly located at the border of Columbia and Dutchess Counties, so you can explore towns any way the compass points! And the roads are so wonderful. All paved, all quiet, all ensconced in bucolic beauty! We will most definitely be back! Don’t miss this upstate retreat!
This home was great for a large group of people, sort of felt like a ski lodge— lots of places for groups to gather and comfortably talk inside and outside.
PROS: The beds were incredibly comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows and down comforters. The kitchen is stocked well enough to get through a short-term stay. We made several meals in including grilling burgers for 6 people.
Great laundry room, plenty of parking and close to town. FANTASTIC VIEWS.
CONS: Although there are plenty of bedrooms, take note that the showers are limited to two in the entire home. Also note, there is only a regular coffee pot, no Keurig machine.

The home is lovely on stunning grounds. Some of the equipment does not work and would have been better if we could use what was advertised. Stowe is a magical

Leeds Longhouse is so very beautiful and the perfect place to unplug. The house is sleekly modern and rustic as well – it reminded me of Scandinavian style homes in my native Seattle. We appreciated the overall design and the care taken in selecting high quality materials with beautiful details. The artwork was a surprise bonus. The house is very private – just us, fresh brewed coffee and a stunning mountain view by day, and stars by night. We enjoyed the recommended restaurants, Julia’s in particular.
Kripplebush Hollow, Stone Ridge: This home was truly a gem, offering everything from spacious comfort to full-fledged amenities. Whether you’re a cooking aficionado or a laid-back couch-lounger, it has something for everyone. The Florida room was a wonderful bonus to wind down the day, and the pond view, whether enjoyed from the deck or visible throughout much of the interior, made the vacation even more exciting and enjoyable.

Excellent property and vacation home! Everything was very clean upon arrival even though they had back to back bookings! The house is kid friendly with toys in the living room, highchair, safety gates by the stairways, and an adorable children’s bedroom, complete with tent, toys and fun bed slide. Lots of space indoor and out. Pool and hot tub were a highlight. There’s a grassy area for playing ball. Swingset in a clearing. Communication with Red Cottage was quick and we appreciated that. Altogether the attention to detail made our trip wonderful. Thank you!
We truly enjoyed our recent stay at Reg Cottage. The house is wonderful, and the property is impressive, with the pool being a significant advantage.
We also appreciated how well-equipped the house was: we were able to find everything we needed during our stay.
The only reason we are deducting a star is that the house could benefit from a deep cleaning. While we understand that some preparation and cleanup are done between guests, it felt as it wasn’t quite enough to meet expectations.
Pros:
– Modern and eccentric design
– Bright and airy space, lots of sun in the morning
– Generous with supplies (bathroom necessities, an extra tank for the grill, 24H heated pool, laundry supplies)
– Fully equipped kitchen
– Upstairs bedroom and bathroom has an amazing view of mountain tops
– Plenty of outdoor areas to lounge
– Pool can be covered and uncovered with a flick of a switch
– Responsive host
Cons:
– Needs a little bit of organizing/tlc (silverware, laundry room, huge collection of CD’s and DVD’s, pantry)
– Challenging drive to the property, especially at night
– Downstairs bathroom locks were not working
– Upstairs bathroom does not have a lock

Overall had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend and return. Great private out of the way location that is still within short driving distance to Portland and other surrounding areas. Nice organized binder with recommendations on places to go and things to do in the area. The loft to relax in at night with the skylight that you can open and get the fresh night air and pop up to see the stars at night really capped off a peaceful vacation we were looking for.
This is a gorgeous farmhouse in an idyllic setting. The house itself is well appointed and was the perfect spot for our two families to spread out and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare elaborate meals for our large group. The house is situated near a few towns and is the perfect place for a fun and restful time in the Catskills. We liked the decor too! Thank you!
