This was a beautiful rental. It was clean with all of the amenities we needed. It was small but perfect for our little family (toddler and 2 medium sized dogs). It’s about 1 hour from Bar Harbor and we needed to drive in order to find some decent restaurants (admittedly picky about that) but it was in a nice area. Quiet & peaceful. We would definitely stay in another one of Lauren’s properties!
Our stay at the tiny home was wonderful! We were given straightforward directions for its location and the place was spotless upon checking in. The amenities were exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the local recommendations that were provided; we tried a few of the recommended restaurants and they were excellent! Overall this stay provided a great experience for visiting Vermont. If we get the chance to visit the area another time, we will definitely book this place again!
We had a great stay at this place. The surroundings are beautiful and it’s a relatively easy drive to Acadia but there are other towns nearby worth checking out too. The only thing I wish was clearer in the description is that there’s no shower and the tub is in a corner with a slanted ceiling so you cannot stand in it either, which is not always ideal. Other than that the place and location were great.
We stayed at the Red Cottage located at 306 Pucky Road in Bethel, NY. The space was awesome as was the surroundings. The beds were comfortable. The jacuzzi was new and worked great. I can recommend some outdoor seating on the deck where the jacuzzi is located. There were no chairs to sit and enjoy the views. An outdoor dining table would ba e been great on the deck as well. All in all it was a beautiful property and would would book the Red Cottage again. The communication with the property was also outstanding.
Our stay on Perch Lake in the Catskills was wonderful. The house has the best views in Andes, New York, and is very comfortable. There were fresh blueberries right outside the back door, not to mention the serene spring-fed lake.
We also had a good time exploring the area, and we played trivia at the Cider House, ate fresh pies at Maggies in Delancey, and had lunch at the Blue Bee in Delhi. Thank you Red Cottage!
As advertised, this place hit the spot for us – nice to find a rental that gave us all that we needed with privacy, fantastic setting, and comfort without overpaying for more space than two people really need. The house was a perfect fit. The area is stunningly beautiful – amazing hikes and swimming lakes and waterfalls all within 15min! Stowe provides restaurants, conveniences and a great bike/walk path while Morrisville has an impressive state park, hiking, swimming and cute country store for an off the beaten path vibe. Andrew’s place was well adorned with the basics, and the main living area and bathroom are remarkably bright while the bedroom is pleasantly cozy and darker which made for sweet sleeps. Adirondack chairs on the deck perfect for lounging, reading and star gazing. Beautifully kept property and extremely efficient in terms of communication and checking in etc. We enjoyed our time visiting the area and relaxing at “home”.
It was the perfect house for us (2 families + grandparents, 10 total. Kids were 2,4,4,5). There were lots to do around us (storyland, Ryan’s airpark etc) and lots of stores. Having 2 tv areas was great when kids didn’t want to watch the same shows or needed to be separated. And they also had the loft area that we set up as a play room.
Outdoor was great too. We were originally concerned about the proximity to the busy road but they had a little hill separation so it was better than we expected. The private cul-de-sac was also great for kids to cycle and go on their scooters.
The adults agreed that this was the perfect setup for a rare relaxing vacation with young kids that we are probably going to come back again next year. If you have little kids or have multiple families, I would definitely recommend this place. They were also super responsive to questions or potential issues!

We had a great stay at the Green Mountain Modern House! The place was clean, modern, and had everything we needed—especially in the kitchen, which was fully stocked with nice gadgets. The EV charger was a big plus since the closest Superchargers are pretty far. The house is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful spot, perfect for getting away from it all, but still has all the tech comforts like Starlink internet and the EV charger, so you’re not totally off the grid. Really enjoyed our time here! Thanks!
The cottage is absolutely beautiful! It is just as gorgeous inside as it is outside and was everything we were hoping for in our vacation. It was clean and comfortable. The kayaks and paddleboards were perfect for exploring the lake. The hosts were extremely responsive and we are definitely planning on staying again next year!
We had a wonderful stay here. The property is exactly as described and is unbelievably beautiful. If you want the feel of camping with the comfort of a home, this is it! Our dogs loved how much they could explore and swim and it was great for us to be able to let them without worrying about other people or pets. Our only critique is that the AC unit on the first floor doesn’t do much to cool the space. The only place we were able to get cool in the late afternoon was the upstairs bedroom. We still had a wonderful time and found the place incredibly comfortable, but worth noting for others considering staying here in the hotter months of the year. I truly cannot recommend this home enough and actually already have recommended to several others!
This was the greatest bnb we have ever stayed at. There was this winding road leading down to the house and what a sight to see when you get to the driveway. It is completely private and you’re surrounded by trees. I enjoyed peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee and a book from the many options around the house. We spent a lot of time with my toddler in the tv room/sunroom. The house is spacious but cozy with plenty of seating. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen as it was fully stocked. We didn’t end up using the basement bedroom, we felt we would be too far away from our 3 year old but the main bedroom had a king size bed and we all fit comfortably. The basement is perfect for older kids, there were lots of books, puzzles and a tv. Lots of seating too. The best part is it opens into the backyard so there was a lot of natural light, it didn’t give off creepy basement vibes. And the outdoor space was just magical. We used the grill and enjoyed a nice dinner on the deck. Thank you!!
5 adults (ages 35-82), 3 dogs (ages 6-13) and a 3 &1/2 year old. Everyone was comfortable, we had SO much to do and the house was beautiful. We kayaked, swam, fished, cooked at home, hiked the local trails, relaxed – oh boy did we relax – the deck was our favorite place! The pool was great, we went everyday. The house has so much more than you need and it was SO kid friendly. We brought more than we needed to (as you do with a kid) but truthfully we didn’t need to bring toys, they had everything, even down to the bath toys. The toiletries provided were amazing. Enough space to eat dinner together every night. I could go on, we can’t wait to be back!
We had a great stay at The Gables house in Callicoon. The house was clean and organized, some parts of the house were even nicer than the photos, the beds were comfy, and the house clean and spacious. The kitchen may be the most well-stocked we have seen in terms of lots of pots/pans, knives that actually cut, large bowls, dishes, gadgets, cookies utensils, etc. Red Cottage was very responsive and informative. Do note the listing says there is A/C in every bedroom, but there were a few rooms without a window unit. However there were *tons* of fans throughout the house that really help. It was also great to be able to walk into town.
I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect three weeks than what I experienced at Hill Top managed by Red Cottage. The home is beautifully appointed inside and out. Working remotely during the week and entertaining friends and family for long weekends was easy to achieve with the homes warm and open floorplan and beautiful pool and outdoor area. Jo and Beverly with Red Cottage Management were very responsive before, during, and when leaving. I always felt attended to for whatever the reason. And they always kept me abreast of things like arrival of pool cleaning or grass cutting because of my length of stay. The two “double beds” in the home are futon couches however they have very comfortable bed pads on them. The guest house is perfect for those who prefer their own bit of space. It’s not connected to the home and you walk back and forth through grass to get to and from. Summer sunrise and sunsets were amazing. I am certain fall leaves are too and might need to find out.
