We stayed in the beautiful house in Jeffersonville NY.
We arrived and there was a family of deer there to welcome us! They didn’t come back much because of our dog .
We had our coffee each morning on the balcony. It’s so quiet at that time.
We loved the fire pit had at least 4 nice fires there.
If it was too hot we moved the chairs under a tree about 25’ away in the shade.
The surrounding towns were very quaint with farmers markets , music and fairs on the weekends. We went Kayaking a few times down the Delaware and actually saw a Bald Eagle pluck a fish out of the water just a few feet away from our kayaks!!! First time seeing one so close!
Loved that each bedroom had a bathroom in it & the showers had a Seat/Bench in it.
We had a much needed respite and felt super comfy …
We even had 1 neighbor come visit and give us some history about the place!
2 suggestions I would make are:
1- a good broom to sweep the leaves and twigs off the balcony.
2- curtains in the bathrooms.

This home was perfect for our group of friends and families. We utilized all of the amenities the property had to offer and enjoyed the beautiful outdoor scenery. The house was extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and entertain each night. Thank you!
Amazing house! It was so peaceful and quiet, we felt like we were in our own world. The host was amazing!
We were looking for a quick getaway and were happy that we decided on the cottage. The view was our favorite part. We would gather in the morning and have breakfast outside. The kitchen had almost everything you needed. We found a gondola ride close by and went for a hike and there is a little lake about 8min away. We appreciated the clear communication and also prompt follow-ups. We would love to come back in the fall when the leaves change, I’m sure it will be stunning!
The Harlem Valley Hideout is a stunning property and home, perfect for a family getaway with the large kid-friendly pool, large yard, pond and newly resurfaced tennis court! Our family (2 adults and 1 toddler) stayed comfortably with another family (2 adults and 1 toddler) for a long weekend (Thursday – Sunday). When we arrived, we were amazed at how clean and well-equipped the property was. The kitchen was large and had everything you would need to cook a nice meal. To add to a beautiful chef’s kitchen were large professional propane grill (and charcoal grill) for outside grilling on the patio which we took full advantage of. The pool and deck look and feel brand new – we spent endless hours hanging out at the pool. And there are so many beach towels available because of course we forgot to bring them. The house is stocked with other things you may forget (shampoo, body wash, abundance of clean towels, etc.). The property is close to many kid-friendly attractions including a lovely lake with a nice trail, Fishkill Farms (great for berry and other fruit picking). There is also a very close and convenient supermarket (Hannaford) nearby which has everything you will need. All in all it was a memorable weekend at this artistic getaway and we can not wait to come back!
Great house, good for two families. Notice there is no AC but it’s usually cooler up there than Manhattan.

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Red Cottage and we can’t recommend it enough! This unique escape is truly a gem. The moment we walked in, we were captivated by the stunning views that surrounded us. The architecture is both stylish and functional, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance.
The house was immaculate and had all the amenities we could ask for. The open-concept living space was ideal for relaxing and enjoying quality time together.
The location is fantastic too! We were close to everything, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Overall, we had an amazing July there, the home is gorgeous, the surroundings are peaceful. The living room dining area is divine…also Red Cottage was kind and helpful whenever we reached out. It’s a high end place that overall delivers. Admittedly, there are areas for improvement, granted we were probably the first somewhat long term stayers. The house was clean but there were several areas of the house – closets and owners storage rooms – which were just messy and it was felt. Red Cottage is excellent but there were several things not explained that I had to be proactive about, of importance – like how to work the pool, and other stuff. No detailed manual or explanations unless we asked. The house was lovely and summery, and yet it lacked in places a touch of true high quality eg pots and pans etc, towels hangers (that were just stuck on), and some furniture (but all useful and practical). Again all this was relatively minor. It made our July wonderful in so many ways.
Our family had a terrific two night stay at Lauren’s home in Peru. The home is about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Manchester. The home feels brand new, with nice furnishings, plenty of space and a terrific main floor kitchen/family room. The home is on a very quiet road off of Route 11. We would recommend this home to anyone planning to stay in the area.
We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home. The house is stunning, with an unbelievable view of the surrounding forest and river. Everything inside was spotless, modern, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The communication with the host was excellent—quick responses and very helpful with any questions we had.

I wish this was my home! We had a really great time at Red Cottage and would be glad to stay here again. The home is comfortable and in a beautiful setting and had everything we needed for our stay. It was secluded in nature but close to Woodstock, hikes, etc. that it did not feel inconvenient at all.
Lovely Airbnb—the house is beautiful, very comfortable, and has everything you could want for a nice stay in the Berkshires with a large group of family/friends. The kitchen is fully stocked (including oil, vinegar, spices, tons of cooking utensils and pots/pans, and even a coffee grinder). Finding the location the first time was a bit tough using Google Maps, and the instructions from the host were not detailed enough – the road leading to the house is a gravel road off the main road that is not very well-marked. But once we found it it was fine. The hosting company was easy to communicate with and quick to respond when we had questions. Highly recommend!
The house and our stay was perfect in every way. We have have been working at a camp near by for over a decade and needed a spot to be able to commute there and relax in the evening.It was a cozy, clean and well appointed retreat after long hot/cold days of working. We were unable to use the firepit due to weather and schedules but left some wood for the next guests. Thank you for making our week so special. We can’t wait to return next year (or maybe next season).
We had an amazing weekend at the treehaus. We had so much fun with our dogs hiking and in the mad river right behind the house.

Falls road was just perfection. We stayed for the month of July and had the best time. House is gorgeous – big open spaces, beautifully designed, warm aesthetic. The landscape is absolutely picturesque. Pool is beyond dreamy.
Can’t recommend this pace enough. It has everything you need. I’m a big cook and the kitchen is what dreams are made of! Every appliance I could ever want.
The location is perfect. Less than 10 minutes from old Kinderhook, which has a few coffee shops/restaurants. There’s also a great farmers market on Saturday mornings with live music and fantastic produce. You are also less than 20 minutes from Hudson so it’s an easy drive for more restaurants and shopping.
The house is also incredibly kid friendly, with kid toys/extras by the pool and for all kitchen related needs.
As always, red cottage is the most responsive and helpful , which makes answering any questions incredibly easy.

Lauren’s place was excellent! She had all information laid out in a guidebook, which prepared us well for check-in and what amenities were at the cabin. The property and cabin were beautiful and peaceful. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided and immaculately maintained and clean. Lauren was a wonderful host and always responded immediately to any questions. The bed linens and pillows were especially comfortable! We would definitely enjoy staying here again!
We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for relaxing and entertaining, lots of cozy spots to unwind, both inside and out. My wife and I felt completely at home. The host was great with communication: very transparent, always quick to respond, and made everything easy.
The location is beautiful, especially if you enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, and I highly recommend visiting the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, such a unique and meaningful experience. If you’re into horseback riding, Ridge Runner Ranch is also close by and worth exploring.
One tip for future guests: plan your meals in advance. While there is a Walmart nearby, dining and grocery options are a bit limited in the immediate area. We prepped ahead of time and had no issues at all.

This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. There were 8 of us, including parents, grandparents, and children, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The upstairs master bedroom is especially comfortable, with a lovely few of the gardens in back. We hope to book this house again when we go back to the Berkshires next year.
Easy check in. Our host,Lauren, was extremely helpful, informative, kind, and responded almost instantly to our questions. The cabin was very clean. It had everything you needed including plenty of towels, bedding, and outdoor seating and even tea, coffee and sugar amongst other things. All you needed to bring was food (if you plan to cook). Our dogs enjoyed the huge backyard and the pond. They had a blast at the Dog Mountain with leash-free trails and play areas.

Knickerbocker is great, we’ve stayed a few times now.
One item to mention though, the description says that fans are available (property has no A/C) and there were no other fans apart from the ceiling fans.
While it wasn’t super hot like it had been, room fans for the bedroom(s) would have been a plus.
If the only fans are the 2 ceiling fans, the description should probably just say 2 ceiling fans and their locations.
We were extremely happy with our accommodations! We needed to modify our reservation and were able to do that seamlessly. The house is actually more beautiful in person than it shows in the pictures!! Really a comfortable, great spot for friends and family to gather, no matter what season of the year 🙂
We really loved the property, it was as pretty as the photos, very peaceful and a welcome and relaxing break for our family. We had every item for cooking you could imagine, the beds were extremely comfortable and there were even extra towels for our little dog! Livingston Manor was a friendly town and the Main St has attractive shops for a lovely mooch. We would highly recommend the Kaatskeller for a delicious Pizza, Main Street Farm for coffee & the Robin Hood Diner for a tasty breakfast and wonderful service. Our only negative experience was the lake access for the property where we were negatively received, however we found plenty to entertain us at Lake Superior State Park!
