This was our 3rd time at the Village Retreat, and we had another wonderful stay. The home is beautifully decorated with so many great little details. It is comfortable and so well laid out. The kitchen is made for anyone who likes to cook. Can’t wait to return!

We had such a nice stay here! The place is absolutely beautiful and nicely located! It was extremely clean and neatly decorated. It has everything you need. Only complaint is the tub/ shower situation. Very low ceiling over it so you can’t stand to shower. Overall, not the biggest deal though. Our pup loved it here too!! Close to Belfast which is so nice to walk around and get a bite to eat. Easy drive to Acadia as well. Would highly recommend this place!
My family and I loved our stay here. It’s exactly what you see in the photos and in some cases even better. Everything was super clean and felt brand new. We had everything we needed to cook all our meals. All the amenities worked perfectly and there’s even some fishing gear (my children caught two fish!). I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
The house is great and in a quiet area – perfect for a retreat. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook while we were there. The hosts were very proactive messaging us ahead of time and were very responsive, but since there are multiple means of communication (texting, airbnb chat/email, web link for house rules) sometimes it got confusing where to look/find info.
Perfect for an extended family getaway. The downstairs space was great for the kids, as was the creek on the property for exploring. Home felt larger than appears in photos, our group had plenty of room. The screened porch was a favorite area for adults and kitchen/dining area really great for meals with 10+ people. Very close to Calicoon downtown and Seminary Hill when we wanted to get out. Property is very private for when we wanted to be more secluded.
This Airbnb was absolutely perfect! The space itself was super cute with a modern interior that felt cozy and inviting. It was also dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us! One of the highlights was sitting on the porch and listening to the sound of the river just beyond the backyard, so peaceful and grounding. We loved being able to walk along the river nearby, and the small local shops in town had so much charm. Plus, Manchester was just a short drive away, making it easy to explore more of the area. We already booked our trip to come back in the fall!
We love Manchester/Dorset area. it was great to have a spacious house to rest and relax in. The farmhouse feel was lovely and cozy. The house was a simple walk to downtown and other areas. The communication was quick and responsive and all our needs were met. We look forward to a future stay. Thank you.
We had an incredible time as a family celebrating the 4th of July here and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a charming family getaway. The kitchen is hands-down one of the best-stocked we’ve ever had in an Airbnb. KitchenAid? Check. Pasta Maker? Check. Breville coffee maker, Cuisinart, Ninja blender? Check, check, check! Two ovens, two full-size fridges, A+ Ice maker, and a Weber grill round it out. The bedrooms had excellent AC, comfy mattresses, and a full bathroom in each room w/ rainfall showers, hot & strong water pressure. The outdoor area is peaceful + kid-friendly, with walking trails, hammock, 100ft metal hose, toys, and games. This home is beautiful, charming, and incredibly clean, that feels more like a well-loved primary home than a vacation rental. It’s secluded and peaceful, yet a short drive to Tanglewood, and other Berkshires gems. You can tell this is someone’s special place, and staying here made our trip feel extra special too!
Being 55 mins from Acadia and close to Camden and Bar Harbor made for great day trips with a cozy place to return to at night. Would recommend and stay again! Well stocked with essentials for cooking since it was a little far from restaurants, though surrounding areas and drive was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. On the smaller size for 4 people but the split up bathroom was a huge plus. Great vibes in the house including access to the Sonos speaker. We had a small issue with the hot water heater but Wildwood Collective was responsive and sent out a maintenance tech on the 4th of july to fix it!! Incredible service on a holiday weekend.
We had a lovely peaceful stay in the foxglove tiny home. The home itself is clean and very cute – just like the pictures. And it has a little porch with adirondacks and a solo stove. I would definitely recommend and will be returning as time and money allow.
Also, if you’re going through the comments for the place and see the stuff about the shower temperature you can ignore those. If you just follow the instructions the hosts provide in their welcome guide (which was leave the sink running while you shower), the water stays hot. My partner and I took a couple of showers while we were there and had no issues.

The house looks just like the pictures. We went with a group of friends and one of our friends had kids. They had great accommodations for us including a play pen, a high chair, and kids plates and bowls. Walking down to the river was very handy. We mostly hung out at the house the whole weekend and had a great time. I would definitely recommend!
We had a great stay overall. Pretty disappointed about lack of lake access, as this was advertised as included when we booked & was a big reason we chose this place. 3 weeks before our stay, lake access was removed…they didn’t communicate that to us until the day we arrived, and their refund policy is only for 48 hrs after booking, so either way we were screwed out of that. Felt a little duped by that. Otherwise, it was a good stay and we had a great time. Almost zero kitchen basics were provided unfortunately, wish we had known that prior as we would have brought that with us – just 1 trash bag provided, no kitchen towels, no salt, etc. there is no AC upstairs and one of the ceiling fans didn’t turn on, we had to go find the obscure batteries it required

We had a group of 9 and a dog stay here for a fourth of July birthday and it was so much fun. The property is gorgeous, we loved using the fire pit for s’mores. The house itself was gorgeous as well. They had everything you needed in the kitchen to make meals but the house was also super close to the cute Main Street. They were really quick at responding when we had an issue with the hot water, and the caretaker who came to fix it was so nice, kind, and helpful. They even gave us some suggestions for activities to do! All in all, this is a really great spot, and I’d absolutely recommend it! I’d love to come back!
We loved our stay. The house feels remote, with no neighbors in sight. The house is spotless – looks brand new. Kitchen is well stocked and the great room is gorgeous. It would need 4WD in bad weather (which we did not have) to get in and out. WiFi is fine – we didn’t need to do a day of video calls but that would have been difficult if we did. We would return if we were planning to be in the area again.
This was the most we’ve paid per night for an airbnb, but it was worth the price. The house and grounds are beautiful, spacious, very private, and relaxing. The were multiple inviting indoor and outdoor spaces, and it felt very roomy for our party of six. A significantly larger group could be very comfortably accommodated. Despite feeling secluded, the house is a short drive of about one mile to Stowe village and half a mile to the local grocery store. It was pleasant to swim in the pond on the grounds to cool off. There were two indoor spaces in the attached garage available for use and plenty of space to store bikes even with two cars parked, which is a rare luxury at an airbnb. This property is highly recommended.
You could not ask for a more beautiful location and my family that lives in Waitsfield that dishwashers are not normally in these places and the Treehaus has one. The beds were really comfortable and they had sound machines that I really appreciated! The hosts were responsive and informative. We will definitely stay again!!! My kids could not get enough of the mad river that is easily accessible! The fire pit was heaven!!
