My friends and I had an amazing stay in Livingston Manor! Our group of eight felt very comfortable and enjoyed everything the house had to offer. The pictures accurately represented the property, which is always a huge plus. Red Cottage communicated effectively with us and answered all our questions promptly. We will definitely be returning soon!!
By far the cleanest AirBNB I’ve ever stayed in. Stainless steel pots and pans (whereas in other places there are old scratched teflon pans and mismatched dishes and cutlery). Everything was spotless.
Everything was very high end, appliances, furniture.
Only things missing were paper products (no paper towels, tissues, napkins) and a microwave. Other than that the kitchen had every tool we could imagine. A substantial spice drawer and basics like oil, tea, coffee, etc.
Beds were pretty comfortable too. Memory foam mattresses.
All in all we had a lovely stay and would stay again.

Due to the extremely cold temperatures during our stay, the home we were staying in lost water due to frozen pipes. Once we reached out the team sent us water so we would be able to have drinking water for us and our pet, while they found an available property to relocate us to. The team was incredibly helpful and kind during the entire ordeal! Despite the challenges, we will absolutely book future stays through Red Cottage. due to how nice the team was!
We had a truly wonderful stay at the Ponderosa! The home is incredibly spacious and comfortably accommodated our large group, including kids. It was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to settle in right away. We especially loved the second living room downstairs, which gave us extra space to gather, play games, and relax while keeping things quiet after the kids went to bed.
The hot tub was a highlight we enjoyed and the outdoor chiminea added such cozy ambiance to our evenings. The expansive yard was perfect for the kids. We even shoveled a small sledding trail that they had an absolute blast with. It was such a simple but memorable part of our trip.
The location felt private and rejuvenating, yet it was still an easy drive to groceries, Stowe Village for dinners, and Stowe Mountain for skiing. Red Cottage was communicative, kind, and seamless to work with. The next time we visit the area, we can’t wait to book the Ponderosa again!

Amazing stay at the Barn. It felt upscale and cozy yet spacious at the same time. Layout is interesting and has a lot of character. The photos don’t do the space justice – I wish we could have spent more days staying there. Host was responsive and accommodating, and we felt like instructions were very easy and clear.
The house is beautiful, very spacious, and even better in person.

A truly beautiful home – the perfect combination of rustic Vermont vibe and new, modern furnishings. We try to rent in Vermont once a year and this might be the nicest home we’ve stayed in. Kitchen had a ton of items (including great coffee tools) and pellet stove and gas stoves were extra warm during a cold weekend. About 15 minutes drive to Snowshed and Ramshead, but totally worth being a little further from the mountain to stay somewhere so nice.
Great location to Jay Peak Resort!! About a 10 minute drive to get to the slopes. Only about an hour to Stowe! It was a cozy, comfortable cabin and was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking needs which was helpful as there are not many restaurant options in Jay or the surrounding areas so prepare for that! Great cabin! We would stay here again!
The house was serene, with huge windows that overlooked the woods. It felt very calm and peaceful. The house was well provisioned with all of the basics. All of the drawers and each room was neatly organized, and free of clutter and very clean.
We went in the middle of winter and didn’t get to enjoy the porch, but I could see this would’ve definitely been an added bonus. A large screened-in porch with heaters and comfortable furniture. Also, with a huge pass-through window into the kitchen! It was a really pretty home!

My only note would be I think the sign about the trash and recycling could be a bit cleared before having to ask / mentioning it at checkout. And from the pictures we didn’t realize that one gorgeous room in the back of the house is screen doors not glass so you can’t enjoy in the winter.
Other than those very small things it’s a great place to stay! I’m sure it’s absolutely breathtaking in the summer.

Our stay at The Red Cottage for Valentines weekend was everthing we imagined. It was secluded and private without being difficult to find. The inside soaking tub was a dreamy way to start the morning and the hot tub felt so nice against the winter air, especially followed by a cow in the gorgeous wood stove. Mountain views were beautiful and we hope to come back when it’s warmer to enjoy some outdoor activities as well! The house was clean, stocked with wood and all the basics. Thank you Red Cottage!
We enjoyed our stay from the moment we walked in until we locked the door behind us to head back home. Every room was cozy, warm, and inviting. So much attention to detail made everything perfectly lovely. Such a treat to have a gorgeous spa-like bathroom with lovely windows to look out at the snow covered hill. Superb linens, mattresses, and pillows made us drift off to sleep after spending the day at Ski Butternut which is just a quick 15 minute drive away. It is so beautiful in the winter. I can only imagine how lovely it must be the rest of the year. Highly recommend this responsive and thoughtful host!

Overall great. Perfect for a ski weekend – close to major ski resorts (esp. Stratton), some good restaurants and markets. Beautiful private location, nice interior design/furnishings, and sauna and fireplace were great amenities. Only small quibbles if you are cooking – the cookware/cutlery was pretty meh quality and there wasn’t quite enough dishware for a group of six to get through the day without doing dishes.
My family and I spent a Valentine’s/Presidents’ Day long weekend in Stowe and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The home was exactly as pictured—very clean, cozy, and welcoming, with a truly homey feel. The host was kind, responsive, and clear with communication, which made everything seamless. The location was perfect, close to skiing and everything else we wanted to do. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to return.
This is such a great cabin for a weekend getaway! It was so quaint & cozy. The kitchen is full stocked, which was very appreciated, as we cooked most of our meals there. We were sad that the hot tub didn’t meet our expectations because that is a big reason we chose this cabin! Also, the bathtub was not functioning, so there was only 1 shower for 6 people. Management is going to address this so hopefully the second full bathroom will be up and running soon! The location is great.
Our family had a wonderful stay. The house was spacious for the 4 of us and we enjoyed the beautiful views and sunsets. The communication between the host was great and responsive. We were surprised at how well-stocked the house was and were happy to see the variety of books and games for our kids. The house is only a 10 minute drive from nearby restaurants and grocery stores. We enjoyed our weekend so much that we plan to be back here in the summer!
