We just got home from a wonderful long weekend at the cabin! The location and the place itself were 10/10. I can’t say enough good things about our time spent here. The cabin was beautifully maintained and had more amenities than expected! We especially loved the hot tub and the wood burning stove. Incredible views and beautiful property.
The house was extremely clean and very well thought out. It’s clear a lot of care went into the design and setup, and we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. It was spacious enough for six of us on a girls’ weekend but still felt cozy.
We enjoyed visiting downtown Woodstock and trying some of the local restaurants.
Mary and Red Cottage Management were responsive and helpful, and all the instructions provided were clear and detailed. The home is a smart home, so it took a little time to get used to everything, but once we did, it was a smooth stay.
Overall, a great stay that I would recommend and consider returning to.

A breathe of fresh air. The house was very beautiful, I am only sad I didn’t come earlier to see the leaves change. The spa (hot tub) was very much needed so sad we only got to use it once because of the rain. Make sure you prepare if your traveling at night and have the directions saved because you do lose service, there’s also not much lighting so we did make a wrong turn and the gps was not able to reroute us. But luckily we listened to the host and were able to find out way. House had great amenities but does not have a microwave, we managed since we didn’t need it and anything we needed to reheat we used the stovetop . Really enjoyed the view in the back porch, and liked the big windows did allow for sunlight to get in and warm the house. Thank you for the stay!
It was our first time staying at one of Wildwood Collective’s places and it did not disappoint. Such a great location and comfortable. It felt much like home and was great to return back to after long days of exploring. The bed was so comfortable which is one of the things I look for first. Definitely note that the Salt House has a soaking tub with a shower head attached not a full standing shower. The tub is great for soaking! We will definitely be staying here again.
The Post Haus was the perfect getaway! Beautifully set in the woods, it offered a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning natural views. The location was ideal—close to plenty of outdoor activities—yet so comfortable and inviting that we hardly wanted to leave the property.

Every feature and amenity felt carefully chosen to create a relaxing, homey atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to bring our wonderful dogs, who loved the open space and serene environment just as much as we did. The views were incredible from every angle, making mornings with a cup of coffee truly special.

I’ve stayed at Hidden Ridge for two years in a row and it’s been such a fantastic experience both times! The house is lovely and has everything my friends and I needed for a relaxing long weekend. In particular the kitchen is very well-stocked, the best I’ve ever seen in a rental like this. I highly recommend staying in this property!

The property truly lives up to its description and exceeds expectations in every way.The first thing to mention is the view—it is unbelievably gorgeous. We spent every morning and evening simply captivated by the panorama; pictures truly don’t do it justice.Beyond the breathtaking scenery, the house itself was beautiful and remarkably efficient. The design is thoughtful, everything is exceptionally well-maintained, and we found the layout seamless and comfortable.A flawless stay in every regard. Highly, highly recommended. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a wonderful time at Red cottage. The property is beautiful the house is wonderful spacious but still with a cozy feel. We had our 3 month old son and our 9 year old fox terrier with us and everyone had a good time. The hot tub on the deck is great with a great view. We would definitely love to come back someday.
This place was incredible and had everything we needed for a weekend attending a wedding up the street at Spillian. Extremely responsive/ communicative host, and lots of space and activities to do in the house. The shared space had a nice aesthetic and more homey than many managed rentals. Definitely the most equipped kitchen I’ve ever seen in an airbnb- it felt like a thoughtful setup for several people planning to really spend time in the space. Loved the deck area and hot tub- so many spaces for hanging out. The rooms are great- perfect for 3 couples plus kids since the 4th bedroom is somewhat public, but has privacy curtains.
This is our third year spending a long weekend in Livingston Manor. The home was perfect size for 4 couples and a toddler with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The house was clean and spacious with great indoor and outdoor space. The firepit area was perfect for an evening fire and smores and the location was convenient to get into town and to local areas like Roscoe and Calicoon. We highly recommend staying here!

I don’t think I’ve had a better experience than this one so far—incredibly well kept house from the house itself and surrounding property but all the little details itself, including pantry items, records to listen to, very comfy couches, beautiful backyard and sauna, etc etc; I could on forever because every little detail of the house seemed very very well thought through in a way that made us feel right at home. On top of that, the staff was super responsive, timely, detailed, and professional in their communication with us. Hands down would gladly stay here again and even hire the team someday to help me with any future homes I may have the join of sharing on Airbnb. Thanks again Red Cottage!
We had an amazing week at Red Cottage. The house was spacious, uncluttered, very dog friendly, and had an incredibly well equipped kitchen for cooking! We and our dog had everything we needed. Only 20-25 mins from a lot of great restaurants too! Would definitely stay here again. Hosts were responsive and helpful

Living room is large & comfy. Bedrooms are nicely appointed with comfy beds/bedding (we all slept so hard!).
Figuring out the heating units (each room) was a bit of a challenge, but we worked it out.
We were surprised that the 2nd bathroom wasn’t an en-suite (I might have missed that detail in the listing) & that there wasn’t a toilet downstairs, but certainly not a deal-breaker for us.
My friend was at first creeped out by the cemetery across the street, so that couple took the back bedroom. She was fine with it by the end of the trip.
Overall, terrific stay & hope to return. We particularly enjoyed nearby Olana Historic Home & Grounds, as well as Kløcke Estate brandy distillery! Strongly recommend LePerche for brunch.

This house was spectacular! The setting was gorgeous and the design of the building was truly unique. There we amazing views of the mountains in every direction, including from the soaking tub in the upstairs suite. It was the perfect setting and home base for a fun weekend in the southern Berkshires, within easy driving of Great Barrington and numerous hiking trails. We relaxed in the jacuzzi, chatted around fires in the living room, and enjoyed the heated floors. The host was responsive and helpful with our questions while there. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
This space is SO beautiful and I loved the property-it was very serene and peaceful with lots of critters! It was very quiet and relaxing. I loved the design and the mini split heating system was so warm! The space was easy to find , and we had a really nice time in Belfast and Searsport which is nearby. I absolutely recommend this space!
We stayed here for a long weekend getaway from the city and it was as amazing as it looks. The home felt really spacious and warm. The beds were very comfortable and the open living space and kitchen was perfect. It was so peaceful and the home just had a good energy. Highly recommend it for a couple or small group.
This property is a real gem – very generous spaces and room. Every aspect was in very good working order. Great hosts: communicative and helpful. We held a family gathering of 15 people for dinner – of which 10 stayed for 4 nights. Everyone was impressed with the property. Excellent nearby food shopping in Great Barrington. Our experience was very positive and would recommend to others looking for a similar large scale gathering.
