We had a fantastic time staying that the cottage in Eldred, NY. Everything was professionally executed and as advertised. Beautiful A-frame cabin with indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a nice sauna. We were a party of 2 couples and were very comfortable during our stay. The property has a cool stream and nice backyard with tons of nature (saw a lot of deer and rabbits).
Overall I would recommend. However, it is on the expensive side for a 1 bathroom, right under $1,800 for a Friday and Saturday in October. It is also by a fairly busy road so there’s a little road noise during the middle of the day.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is so cozy and homey unlike many Airbnbs. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. It’s not too far from the road but is very quiet. We only saw a couple of cars drive by during our stay. The stairs to the upper bedrooms are very steep and open, but were fine for our group with some extra caution. Highly recommend this place! We are already discussing coming back early next year.
Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Beautiful esthetics. Rooms were spacious and light-filled. Loved having two bathrooms and the one off the master was new and gorgeous. The shower was huge and a lively design.
Bed was comfortable and the dark/blackout curtains were appreciated.
Though we didn’t cook, we were impressed with well-appointed exceptionally large kitchen.
We really liked that the home had so much light.
This home in Hudson was close to many other attractions like Olana, Thos Cole estate, Klocke distillery, and of course the town of Hudson. October is a sublime time to visit.

We had a wonderful stay yay the Red Cottage! It is tucked away in the woods off the main road, and so was peaceful with beautiful surroundings! In warmer weather the screened in porch would be amazing! All of the amenities were beautiful and the home is stunning. As FYI- The driveway up to the house, even with instructions, is hard to see. The house was out of a few things and the host had them sent to the house asap which we really appreciated!! The walking path was great for our kids, and one morning we saw a large buck in the woods. Would love to visit again!
My wife and I needed a romantic getaway. Andrew’s home was beyond perfect for us. Gas fireplace was warm and cozy. Everything is like new… modern kitchen, bathroom, living room furniture, bed linings, etc. The private deck is truly private and the fire pit next to the pond was also what we needed. About 10 minute drive to Stowe and Morrisville. Highly recommend if you need a quiet getaway for 2.
The view of the lake is gorgeous. There’s lots to do in the area – we spent a week and the time flew by. The house is very comfortable (loved the little fireplace) and clean.
I expected the property to be more accessible (most of it is wooded), and the agency wasn’t able to clarify if certain items were already in the house before we arrived, but overall we had a great experience and would come back again.

Good amount of space for many guests. Location is great. Listing said “Sonos speakers throughout,” but there is only one Sonos speaker and it is the smallest portable variety. No shampoo in the bathroom, despite it being listed. The kitchen is amenities, like glasses and utensils, are poorly stocked. Porch chairs do not match what is pictured either. Some things are shoddy, like door handles and light switches installed upside down.
if there was a rating higher than a 5/5 i would leave it. every detail of this house brings joy, warmth, and comfort. for a group that likes to cook and play games, i’m not sure i’ve ever been in a better spot with more amenities: the pizza oven, the kitchen packed with appliances, swings, games, and more. it was my 30th birthday but graybarn provided me such childlike whimsy. whoever designed this house has impeccable taste and simply must keep sharing it with patrons around the area. would absolutely book again and will never forget our stay!
The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and more! The kitchen is fully stocked and we loved hanging out in front of the fireplace and being outside around the solo stove at night. The communication was quick and easy and we had such a great weekend staying here. Would definitely recommend!
This is a beautiful and thoughtfully designed house — full of character, natural light, and cozy corners. Every spot is photogenic; the kind of place where you’ll end up taking photos for Ins and everyone will ask you for the link!
The neighborhood is lovely too — peaceful, with nice woods nearby that make for a relaxing walk.
If a few small details were taken care of (like dust on some lightbulbs and a bit more attention to cleaning), it would be absolutely perfect. But overall, I’d highly recommend this stay.

wonderful place. absolutely beautiful house, beautiful surroundings, stuff to do at home, great location near Chatham with its shops and restaurants. also nice to stay at a place where the checkout instructions were limited, instead of the new normal we’ve been seeing of “clean the whole house, never mind the cleaning fee you paid.” we will be back!
This was the cleanest AirBnb I ever stayed in. Everything exactly as described. Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of cookware, spices, etc. Bathrooms appointed nicely with plenty of extra towels. Hot tub was well worth it, super clean and very nice. Back deck is spacious as is the yard. Perfect house for families. I used the indoor and outdoor fire pit. Some wood provided, I’d recommend getting wood from the forest as well or bringing extra logs and fire starter. Only thing they didn’t have I could have used was laundry detergent and a spare charger (mine broke). Again, kitchen was excellent. Furniture and decor look just like pictures. Beautiful home.
Lovely cottage nestled in the trees. We arrived at night which did make it slightly harder to find. Older country home but it’s updated to provide all that we needed to stay comfortablely without losing the French cottage charm I recommend this home to anyone who’s looking for something that is unique and cozy. This is not a boring cookie cutter copy of many of the other standard rentals. Would love to rent this space again next year.
Truly handsome mid-century modern cabin with some really great furnishings/pieces, ceramics, and lighting, as well as super well appointed kitchen, bathrooms, and other amenities. A rustic cabin vibe but elevated and very comfortable! You can sit by the fire listening to music through a seven-speaker sound system! The lost was a bit less secluded than I thought, but it is a beautiful and really an incredible oasis! Red Cottage made it all easy and was totally on top of everything. Nothing went wrong. A great getaway!
