My family has been going to West Stockbridge for 3 generations so we’re familiar with the area, but what a hidden gem this place is!! So conveniently close to West Stockbridge (5 min drive) but far enough away that you feel like you are in your own idyllic woodland fairy tale. The views from every room were so serene and beautiful. The house itself is gorgeous yet cozy. It has all the modern amenities you’d want but retains that old house charm. We especially loved that the bedrooms were in 3 separate zones of the house- since we were a party of 3 couples, each with a child (or 2). Every adult couple enjoyed a comfortable king bed, beautiful bathroom, with another bedroom right across the hall (with another bathroom). Hosts were very friendly and responsive- we appreciated the tip about taking screen shots of entry instructions/wifi since the cell service is very limited. All in all we can’t say enough good things and will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and the yard was a highlight. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch, dinner at the big picnic table, and lounging in the hammocks. We liked how the house was set so far back from the road, so it felt very secluded and peaceful. We love the area too – swimming holes, great restaurants, farm stands are all nearby.
Absolutely stunning place to stay!! Spent the weekend here enjoying the nearby outdoor activities and town – everything was lovely! The house was stunning and so cozy – the kitchen, grill and fire pit areas were well stocked with everything we needed. Host was incredibly responsive and checking in and out was super easy. Highly recommend this beautiful home and would love to return!
The house is beautifully designed, with comfortable linens and a peaceful location surrounded by scenic reservoirs, great hiking trails, and fun local boutiques and a brewery nearby. We enjoyed many aspects of our stay, and the host was responsive throughout. There were some AC issues during the visit that affected our comfort, but a partial refund was provided, which we appreciated. Overall, it’s a lovely place with a lot of charm and potential for a relaxing getaway.
We had a great time here! You enter a private oasis once you turn into the driveway. Our stay happened to coincide with a heat wave, so we took advantage of the pool. (The pool is massive!) Lots of areas to lounge and relax (inside and outside) as well as plenty of areas for activities outside. Hosts were proactive about all details and even reached out about the heat wave and gave us information just in case of air conditioning issues— which fortunately was not needed. The house remained cool and comfortable.
The house is the beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you would want or need. It is the perfect combination of mid century modern and rustic Scandinavian if you are into design. Very cozy! Our family loved it!! It was a little hard to find so keep in mind to turn right at the yellow bench.
After a long two day drive we were eager to get in and had picked up groceries on our way but the lock wasn’t working. After several messages we got it figured out and finally got in but our ice cream for dessert didn’t survive the wait. The bathroom rug was wet but otherwise the place was really nice and exactly as shown. It is a bit smaller than I thought but it was perfect for us. Very cozy and peaceful! The host was great in addressing the few little things and we would happily stay there again on our next trip to Maine.
My family of 4 (2 kids under 10) had a great time here. Everything was very carefully considered from pre-check-in communications to the space itself, which was thoughtfully designed and had everything you could possibly want. We got tons of use out of the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and has everything you could want from cooking implements to an ooni pizza oven. Rooms were and cozy, bathrooms pristine and featured nice towels, and the furniture carefully considered and comfy. The downstairs even has a foosball table. A great place to relax in solitude or use as a base camp for exploring. Highly recommend.
The listing is spot-on—everything was exactly as described. The view was incredible, and the property is exceptionally private and peaceful. The pool was a major highlight: very clean, with floats, lounges, and a shaded umbrella area. The kitchen was impressively stocked with everything you could need. Inside, there were plenty of toys for the kids, and the upstairs bedroom/playroom with crib and changing table was incredibly thoughtful. Each bedroom and bathroom was clean and well-appointed. The yard is half fenced, and the gated driveway let our dogs run freely and safely. Great playground on-site, too. We stayed during a 100°F+ heatwave, and the HVAC kept the house consistently cool and comfortable.

Amazing stay. Very clean and comfortable. Dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom, and great wifi speeds. Bathroom is very comfortable, with laundry in unit for longer stay. No shower, just a tub, but great water pressure and everything you need is provided. Overall a really great find. Highly recommend.
The house is stunning- even more beautiful in person! It was the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation with a group of friends. The location is great with hiking, boating and great restaurants nearby. We loved being able to bring our dogs and let them run around the fenced yard. When we noticed the propane tanks for the grill were empty the hosts responded right away and got us new tanks that night. The pool was great to have as we had some 95+ degree days. Overall an amazing stay!
My wife and I had a magical time in this secluded beautiful hilltop sanctuary. We enjoyed morning coffee listening to the birds and trees and watching the sun come up over the mountains. The pool and hot tub provided a playful afternoon and relaxing evening! We didn’t want to leave! Hope to return soon.
looks even better than the photos, the views are amazing! the house was perfect for our party of 10 people~ spacious, clean, full amenities. easy check-in and check-out. the hosts are incredibly responsive and answered all the questions we had immediately. 10/10 would book again next time we’re in town!
We had a perfect weekend escape at this fantastic home. The interiors have that rare, effortless cool—thoughtfully curated yet completely comfortable. Every detail felt intentional without being overdone. Surrounded by nature, it’s peaceful and quiet, yet stylish and inspiring. Can’t wait to return!
We had such a nice stay here! The place is absolutely beautiful and nicely located! It was extremely clean and neatly decorated. It has everything you need. Only complaint is the tub/ shower situation. Very low ceiling over it so you can’t stand to shower. Overall, not the biggest deal though. Our pup loved it here too!! Close to Belfast which is so nice to walk around and get a bite to eat. Easy drive to Acadia as well. Would highly recommend this place!
My family and I loved our stay here. It’s exactly what you see in the photos and in some cases even better. Everything was super clean and felt brand new. We had everything we needed to cook all our meals. All the amenities worked perfectly and there’s even some fishing gear (my children caught two fish!). I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
