We had a great two-night stay at this cozy house! Even though it rained most of the time, the place was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The main bedroom was private and cozy, and the loft space was a fun extra spot to sleep. We flipped a coin on who got the loft.
The kitchen was really well stocked with a gas stove, oven, microwave, and more—perfect for cooking meals. The WiFi was fast, and we enjoyed watching shows on the Smart TV. The beds were super comfy.
It’s a peaceful place with lots of thoughtful touches. We’d definitely come back!

This place is so beautiful – even more beautiful once you are there. The living room with the stunning tall windows and extremely cozy couch is a great place to spend time together. The bedrooms are well furnished and comfy. The kitchen is totally well stocked. The location is super pretty. Highly recommend renting this place!
We had a lovely weekend at Red Cottage. This was one of the nicest air bnbs I have stayed in. It was beautifully decorated, clean, and had a gorgeous view of the water. There were three couples staying and we had more than enough room. The host was communicative which we appreciated. We would recommend!
We absolutely loved this cabin! The beautiful stream (little river, really) is so close to the cabin. We loved keeping the windows open, to hear it in every room, so peaceful!

The property was absolutely perfection! From the mountain views from the windows, the huge yard for the kids to play, and all the space for us to sleep comfortably, we loved it here! Red Cottage was very easy to communicate with and they responded to any questions we had almost immediately. Thank you for an amazing getaway!
Absolutely loved the house and its quirky decor. Was sad the pool was still closed for the season but understandable since it’s still early in the season. Had an issue with one of the toilets which was addressed but never fixed. Other than that would highly recommend the house and would definitely back.
By far the nicest place I’ve ever stayed at! The home looks like it’s straight out of a catalog – with high-end finishes and design, yet it feels so homey at the same time. The interior and exterior are gorgeous, and the grounds are stunning, surrounded by rolling hills and farms throughout the area. The home was stocked with everything you need and was absolutely pristine. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, from the cozy touches to the fully equipped kitchen. I felt so relaxed and at home. I’m definitely coming back!

This home was perfect for our trip. The host was always very responsive. Everything worked as described but the heat/air was a bit quirky. The home was beautifully furnished and welcoming especially for those traveling with families. There were indoor and outdoor toys accessible for our granddaughter which we appreciated. It is in a very private and peaceful location. It was a wonderful choice for our family.
We had a beautiful stay at the house and the lake. It was convenient to have the lake in the backyard with kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, and the fire pit was a joy. The house itself was cozy and comforting. Some of the carpet hurts your feet but that was the only downside. Our family had a lovely stay.
This place is an absolute dream. I booked this place for my 40th bday along with some of my best girl buds and we absolutely loved it – cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, dancing under the disco ball, flipping through records, watching a movie on the projector during a rainstorm – it was lovely. I’m pretty sure that Windham has a lot to offer but truthfully, we never left the property. My friends left during they felt like they’d been at a weekend retreat. This space is as good or better than the pics. We loved it!
The A frame and Darby cabin were fantastic for a girls trip! Gorgeous property and well stocked kitchens. The beds were all very comfortable. Only item to note is this is a five bedroom property, not seven. We were expecting seven bedrooms in total as listed. There are two bedrooms in the Darby cabin, and three in the A frame. We worked it out as we were a group of friends who ended up doubling up, but could see where that may cause problems for other guests. Other than that, this was a dream property with lovely and responsive hosts.
A beautifully remodeled farmhouse in an ideal location with six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Centrally located between Hudson and Catskill, and outfitted with everything a family could possibly needs, and the owners are very accommodating. We highly recommend this property for a memorable and relaxing Hudson Valley stay.
From the minute we walked in the house, we could tell it was going to be great. All the furnishings were of high quality, with many books and games available to keep everyone entertained. The beds were comfortable and all the appliances (including WiFi) worked very well. We were surprised to find a few details missing, though- no curtains or blinds in the master bathroom (looking out over the hot tub!) on the main level, and in the basement bedroom, for example. We could not find a hair dryer or the extra towels mentioned in the online guidebook, and we found some occasional cobwebs on the walls. Overall great stay 😀
