Beautiful house that was perfect for our family of four. It was stocked with everything we needed for our week exploring Acadia and coastal Maine. The only drawback is the location as it’s 15 minutes to the closest restaurant or store but there are also neighbors so it’s not super private. Besides that it’s a great stay!
Casa Manzara is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the unbelievable panoramic view stretching as far as the eye can see and the stunning, thoughtfully designed interiors. The renovation is a soothing palette of whites and neutrals that perfectly complement the large windows framing sweeping mountain vistas.
What sets this listing apart is how exceptionally family-friendly it is—hands down the best we’ve ever experienced! The hosts have gone above and beyond to cater to families with little ones: a changing table, step stools in the bathroom, baby gates on the stairs, a 4-seat kids’ table with chairs, two high chairs, a dedicated playroom, outlet plugs, night lights, and even a swing set!
For adults, the home offers ample space to relax and gather, making it perfect for a family retreat or a group getaway. The combination of luxury, comfort, and functionality is unmatched.

Property was well-stocked and so cozy for a 4-person, 2-night stay. I took off a star since we had zero service and no internet the whole time which made it impossible for one of the guests who was planning on studying over the weekend. If we had a heads up, she could’ve brought physical books instead of relying on internet. We ended up using the house phone to contact Red Cottage who in turn contacted the homeowners to help. The owner Mark came over to try and fix the wifi but it seemed a cable was broken and he wouldn’t be able to get a new one by the time we left. Hot tub, fireplace inside, the kitchen, and bedrooms were all lovely. Would stay again.
Staying at The Hemlock Hill Barn has been a dream come true. From the moment we woke up to the peaceful sounds of birds singing, to the magical sight of a pack of deer just outside the window, every moment felt like a retreat into nature.
The barn’s rustic charm is absolutely stunning, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made us feel at home. Evenings were especially memorable with relaxing movie nights and unwinding in the hot tub under the stars.
This stay was a perfect blend of comfort and nature, and my family and I are already planning to return. The Hemlock Hill Barn is a true gem.

The Red Cottage was everything we hoped for and more: charming, cozy, and thoughtfully appointed. The space is beautifully maintained, with a blend of rustic charm and modern accoutrements that made for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the lovely furniture! But what really stood out was the incredible setting next to the babbling stream. There were two eagles nesting nearby and they made their presence known every time we walked out the door.
The host was great. Very communicative and pro-active with information, but basically the place was just really easy to access and enjoy. We visited with friends in Callicoon and took a trip over the Narrowsberg, but honestly, I would have been happy to just curl up in the hammock with the eagles at Red Cottage.
My only regret is that we only stayed for 2 nights.

This was our first time visiting Narrowsburg. This place was beautiful, well-built with high-end finishes and stunning views. Spotless, great location, and stocked with awesome amenities. The listing described it perfectly. Excellent communication with the host, we would definitely stay again! Thank you!
This airbnb is absolutely stunning. It looks even better than the pictures. Though it’s only an hour driving from New York but it’s feels a real disconnect from the city life – very peaceful surroundings. You can over look into the mountain far away and enjoy sunset everyday. The movie room downstairs creates a theater experience. We have painted a wonderful memory over the weekend at this Airbnb – felt sad when we close the door behind us on the last day.
We had a great stay and everything was as described. This is a perfect place if you have kids, we had 3 toddlers and they loved all the toys and the outdoor playset.
A weird thing to mention is that the towels and bedding felt luxe, sometimes you stay at places and you know they have cheap towels and bedding and this felt like a home. The kitchen had everything we needed. We didn’t get to use the pool or the hot tub but im sure that would be incredible in the summer. The hosts were quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s 14th birthday and honestly, it was perfect. The place was super comfortable and had everything we needed to feel right at home. It was clean, cozy, and really well thought out. The disco lights made it everything, it added such a fun vibe to our stay. I’d definitely come back and totally recommend it.
We stayed for a few days during our April break and had a nice relaxing time. The area was quiet and the host had a ton of great recommendations in their guidebook for things to/places to eat, but a lot were closed for the off-season/the days we were there, even in nearby Manchester (that’s on us, certainly no fault of the host’s just something to consider when timing your stay). The house had a unique vibe that our kids especially were thrilled with – as Star Wars fans, they referred to it as the Sand Crawler House. The stream directly across the street provided a fun and peaceful attraction and the trails in nearby Jamaica State Park were beautiful as well. The home was as described, stocked with board games and puzzles, etc., and the EV charger was a nice bonus for our plug-in hybrid SUV.
The house was very nice, looked like the pictures although a bit smaller but everything else was just as shown inside the house. Very nice, clean and de-cluttered place. Off season the exterior doesn’t look like the pictures at all, but that’s expected. The lock pad stopped working after the first night, maybe due to a loss of power because of a storm, so it would have been nice to have the key lockbox code ahead of time as it took a bit of time to reach the company host. That said, we really enjoyed ourselves and liked the house quite a bit. Thank you!
