What a beautiful spot. In the middle of the winter with below freezing temperatures it was a little hairy getting there but we were prepared and were given great advice ahead of time by our contact. The house was warm and toasty and we were about 20 min away from Butternut and downtown Great Barrington. The view was incredible and so incredibly quiet. We saw multiple dear during our visit which is always fun. If we head back in that direction we will certainly be staying again.
Lovely home with comfortable bedrooms and private bathrooms. Snow removal crews were consistent through our stay making it easy to enjoy the winter on the property.

Their houses are immaculate and the professionalism and communication is always exceptional. The house is even more cozy and beautiful than the photos. I loved the TWO king beds! Giant sectional and fireplace were amazing! Super peaceful surrounding. We skied both okemo and Mt Snow. Well stocked kitchen that even had coffee pods, olive oil and seasoning. The Nespresso was really appreciated! Cant wait to re- book another Wildwood home.

The Red Cottage could not be more dreamy for an upstate escape. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to make magnificent, homemade meals. The beds & couches are all very comfortable and the furnishings are beautiful. There isn’t much immediately in the area so it helps to bring groceries with you. Skiing in Windham was doable from the house but definitely make sure you have 4 wheel drive to handle winter weather. My family and I would love to plan another trip to the Red Cottage!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome gift during our valentines weekend, we had a great time watching the snow fall all around us on the beautiful tall windows that surround the living area of the house. it’s a beautifully decorated home with tasteful design detailing all around. Just the weekend we needed away from the busy city enjoying the outdoors and quality time together. Thank you again and hoping that we can come back sometime in the future
Our stay was a birthday surprise for my husband and he was so happy with my choice. To the point that he was saying we should build something like this ourselves as it’s a perfect vacation spot. Cozy and spacious at the same time. We loved the loft set ups and still such a functional kitchen.

This is an amazing place that was a perfect retreat for our vacation. The view of the ski mountain was so cool. The fireplace was one of the best features after a cold day out and about. The beds were super comfortable and we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place and would definitely rent here again.
Went with a group of friends and had a wonderful and cozy time. The kitchen was great for group cooking and the living room was big and comfy for conversations and games. Bed, bathrooms, showers were all fantastic. Easily a place we’d book again especially since it was close to supermarkets and hikes
This beautiful home and wonderful host enabled my family to have the perfect ski vacation. My compliments and sincere appreciation to the host for going out of their way in helping to address a small issue with the home’s heat within minutes of being notified. We look forward to returning and recommend this property wholeheartedly.
We loved our stay at The Treehaus. The home is comfortable, well equiped, on a beautiful lot by the Mad River, great location and easily accessible to Sugarbush, restaurants and markets. It is a terrific spot to enjoy the Mad River Valley. Wildwood Collective is professional and responsive. There were a few items that we directed their attention to and they addressed their responsibility with these items. Overall a wonderful stay.
Location was key to Jay Peak. We had 6 adults, and the space was a little tight with just enough seating for all of us to comfortably sit in the living room. The spiral staircase is extremely tight and narrow- would be important for those with issues going up and downstairs in the middle of the night to the bathroom located on the first floor. The loft bedroom is completely exposed to the living space below. Otherwise, beds were extremely comfortable and kitchen was stocked. The large kitchen table was great for meals. Would definitely stay again!
House is fully stocked for even the pickiest of cooks! There is so much space for kids to play . House is simple modern and very clean , we ignored the 4wd and brought our front wheel SUV with bald tires lol , barely made it up , I wouldn’t ignore that again . All in all ,our party of eight all had smiles and no complaints!
Our stay was delightful. My sister and her husband joined us. Everything was set up perfectly for a ski vacation with my dog. She never did catch that rabbit. The bathrobes and all the amenities (soaps, etc) were a nice touch. Red Cottage kept in touch with us with some maintenance issues. The place is so close to Belleayre and the landscape and everything beautiful. Couldn’t imagine a more perfect ski vacation than this. Well more snow but that’s not in any one’s control.
Celebrating a family birthday for a long weekend this was the perfect place. We used the wood burning fireplace nonstop. We cooked in the gourmet kitchen on the Viking stove, played pool and darts in the barn and hiked around. Property manager responded to questions immediately. We hope to return again soon!
Such a fantastic place to stay! The house is gorgeous, as pictured, and feels safe, cosy and private. We loved the fireplace and hot tub which were perfect additions to our ski trip. The kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking for a group. The location is fantastic with plenty of shops and restaurants within an easy drive, and Bromley Mountain Ski just a few minutes away. We extended our stay because we didn’t want to leave, and are already planning our next visit! Thanks team for a fantastic week.
My wife and I had an amazing time here. The place is cozy and well equipped for a comfortable stay. It was great to relax in the hot tub after a long hike and then rest by the fireplace, or to enjoy the sunrise flowing into the master bedroom on a cold February day.
The hosts were diligent and available. They provided precise instructions on how to get to the cabin and how to operate its various features. Would love to come back here again, but maybe during the summer this time!
