The house was absolutely perfect for our group of friends over New Year’s! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the thoughtful details throughout the property. The little notes with instructions for everything made settling in seamless. The luxurious touches, like Kiehl’s bathroom products and even facial scrub for men, were a delightful surprise. The art collection is stunning and added so much character to the space.
We were also touched by the pastries and welcome items left for us upon arrival—such a kind and generous gesture. The house itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. It’s clear the hosts have put a lot of care into making their guests feel comfortable and cared for.
We’re already looking forward to our next stay. This property is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!!

We had an amazing stay in Vermont! The house was cozy, well-sized, and exactly as described, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The responsive host ensured a smooth stay and proved perfect instructions. The property offered peaceful river access and beautiful views, with thoughtful touches for enjoying both indoors and out, even in winter. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a nature-filled escape with a touch of luxury!
Super comfortable home in the Catskills within a few minutes of Jeffersonville which has all the necessities (grocery, restaurants, coffee shops). The house was very well appointed with a very well stocked kitchen (multiple coffee options, teas, spices, dishes, pans, foil, cling wrap, etc). The beds were comfortable and the location is very quiet and peaceful – just what we were looking for in an escape from the city. The neighboring towns have a great variety of breweries, distilleries, restaurants, shops, and I’m sure in warmer weather lots of good hikes around. We had a great, relaxing stay and will look to be back in the summer season!
Beautiful property that treated us extremely well! Aesthetically the property is beautiful standing alone on a great piece of property. We were pleasantly surprised with how quiet and peaceful the entire surrounding area was. The home itself caters to a nice staycation with a beautiful kitchen and living area. The beds are comfortable and the shower/sauna is a 10 star set up. Loved our stay, would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully designed apartment! The attention to detail was incredible, from the stylish decor to the record player, which added so much charm to our evenings. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the fireplace created a warm and cozy atmosphere that made our stay extra special.
Guest services were responsive and helpful, especially when we found ourselves accidentally locked out. It wasn’t clear to us that we shouldn’t use the door handle lock, and unfortunately, this led to some confusion. Thankfully, we were able to wait in the car and escape the cold while the locksmith arrived, but clearer instructions on this would have made the experience smoother.
Despite this hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the prompt assistance from the host. This is a fantastic place, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again with that one improvement addressed. Highly recommend!

Highland Haus was great! We hope to return next winter. If you are looking at this house as part of your short list, just hit reserve and book it. You can’t go wrong.
The house is just like the photos. We don’t recall anything being different, other than a fun, kitschy light up Xmas tree in the downstairs game/tv room. Radiant floors with a mini-split system in each room to maintain temperature. Kitchen is well thought-out with everything we needed. Dining table is large. Couch/tv/fireplace area works well for about 4 people. Deck off dining/living room area is large. Upstairs sitting area is just like the pictures, down to the guitar, but generally unused as unneeded for us as a family of 5 (H/W and 3 teen daughters). Upstairs bedroom was nice, good sized. Upstairs bathroom is not en-suite but not needed as the only bedroom upstairs.
Bromley is 5-6 mins away, Stratton 20mins , Magic Mt. 11-12 mins. Manchester Town is 15-20. Snow removal for property was great!

The cottage is beautiful and peaceful, located far enough from the neighbors that you can’t quite see them but close enough to town not to feel totally out of the way. It’s very cozy, especially with the wood burning stove. And the kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly need. Finally, the host is very responsive–we had an issue with the first floor door that they sent a very friendly handyman out to fix the same day.
That being said, I do not recommend this place for people with infants or mobility issues. The stairs to the second floor are basically a ladder with railings and are much steeper and narrower than they appear in the photos. The skylight in the first floor bedroom is really nice, but not great for daytime infant naps. And the second floor main bedroom is also not fully insulated, sound or light wise, from the kitchen due to crevices between floor boards. So our stay wasn’t ideal with an infant, but if we had been there without our baby, it would have been fine.

We booked Casa Magda for a quiet start to the New Year. The design elements in the listing spoke to us and our aesthetic, and we were thoroughly pleased to be there. It was just two of us although the home is built for many more. While there, I found myself dreaming of future visits with friends or family. It is definitely a place I would like to return. We enjoyed all of the amenities, fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, hot tub and the giant movie screen and viewing loft. Because it is situated near three ski hills there is just enough retail nearby in case you forget anything, but it was also quiet enough to be a ‘real’ getaway. The added bonus of the disco lights were more magical than we could have imagined.
Wildwood Collective’s Moon Meadow farmhouse was a beautiful, elegant, spacious stay in a great location. With beautiful, private surroundings as well as proximity to many shops and restaurants, we could not have imagined a better getaway location. The hosts were also extremely friendly and accommodating to last-minute requests. Would absolutely recommend their home.
We had the most relaxing time staying at Grove House for a few days around New Years. The house is beautiful and in a perfect location just a 1 minute walk to downtown Narrowsburg, which has a few restaurants and high end shops. Our dog absolutely loved the fenced in backyard and preferred the dog bed in the master bedroom over her own bed that we brought with us! Besides the dog bed, the bed in the master bedroom was unbelievably comfortable and the house was very well stocked with kitchen, bathroom and cleaning supplies. There was even a bunch of games in the reading nook for us to choose from at night. For hikes, Tusten Mountain Trail is a great trail just a ~10 minute drive away. For longer trails (5+ miles) we had to drive a bit out of the area. Overall, we will definitely return for a relaxing long weekend in the future when we need to get out of the city for a few days.
Sky Acres was the perfect place for our two families to spend our annual ski trip. The house is spotless and very well-equipped. We loved sitting in the hot tub after a day of skiing, lounging by the fireplace, the large selection of games and the downstairs area where the kids could hang out. There was always someone available to help if we had any questions. We loved it!
My dog and i absolutely love the River House. We have stayed there on many occassions- from 2 nights to 3 months- and have come to think of it as “home”. It is incredibly clean and well kept and free of clutter. It has everything you need and more. The Red Cottage folks are incredibly responsive (quick and helpful) and also proactive. I can’t recommend this enough.
Wonderful little place to stay in upstate NY. Clean and great communication. I do wish I would have known how close it was to the road. The traffic is loud and the cars drive very fast, and with a small dog it wasnt the safest. Also pro tip, if you go in winter ask the host to turn the heat up before you arrive. It was set to 60 and took at least a full day to get warm. Would stay again if I needed to be in the area, but might not bring my dog. Thanks to the hosts!
