This house was genuinely stellar. perfectly and tastefully furnished with quality items and nothing was too fragile. The playroom was the best fun, the whole space was full of light and windows. Everything was so clean, it looked like the oven was brand new. They had every supply and a million towels, amazing water pressure, supremely comfortable beds and softest carpets. Many Nest thermostats available! The house was very child friendly in terms of what the space offered and the layout. There were 2 problems. 1. The steps going up had very tall gaps between them, great design but not ok for toddlers, they have gates which helped but forgetting to close or lock a gate for a second and the baby could have slid straight through them to the basement. 2. The bars in the fence around the porch are also wide enough for a child to slide through and each corner of the fence had very large gaps. Practically this meant we couldn’t let the kids go out on the balcony or be alone for even 5 minutes
Great place to stay near Jay Peak Resort! About a 10 minute drive over for skiing and lots of space to spread out. Very nice kitchen with lots of amenities. Very large primary bedroom and a nice bunk bed room for kids. Good parking and mud room for all the ski gear. Two notes: the spiral staircase up to the second bedroom (open loft) is very narrow and potentially hazardous due to the size of the steps. And the location is easy to drive right by on the road, not super well marked. Other than that we really enjoyed.
We stayed at the Wildwood propery for five nights just before Christmas. Wildwood is a new property in a subdivision of like townhouses in a secluded location off the Mountain Road, about 2 miles from Spruce Peak. Great views of the Vermont landscape from the great room. The unit is very well appointed and features an attractive gas fireplace in the greatroom. The bathrooms are luxuious with marble and tile. Red Cottage, the manager, is highly responsive. Beds are comfy. There is a home theatre in the basement with reclining movie theatre seats. This was a big hit with my chidlren. We had access to a spacious garage which was welcome in the cold Vermont weather. Overall we woudl rate this home 5 stars and highly recommend it. We have rented many homes in Stowe, and this is one of the best.
We stayed 3 nights the week of Christmas at the Hobble Inn and only wish it was available for a longer stay. It is more spacious than the pictures show and there were sitting rooms that we did not even get to use. Mary left a wonderful welcome basket in the fridge with maple syrup, Perrier and cheese and crackers to get us started. We were traveling in an extended large SUV, which can be a hassle to park, but the driveway made parking a breeze. Beds were comfy- felt like relaxing memory foam. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. We felt like we were staying g at a relatives home- very cozy and lived in.
Amazing stay! The cabin is beautiful, private, and feels like something out of a movie. We arrived to a snowy landscape that made Christmas magical for our kids. Everything was spotless, in perfect condition, and you can tell it’s newly built. The views are stunning, and having toys for the children was a wonderful touch. We didn’t even need to leave the property. Highly recommend!
This was one of my favorite Airbnbs we have ever stayed at! So clean and cozy with historic charm. We visited during the holidays, and it looked like a home from a Hallmark movie! The hosts had it decorated for Christmas, and we were so happy there. The beds were comfortable, and everything was thoughtfully decorated and so charming. Our two toddlers were very comfortable there as well. The finished basement with a TV was a nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay! My only tip for future guests is to bring what you need – deliveries to this location are a bit difficult for us. The good news is that there is a town close by where you can drive to get what you need before or after arrival. Overall, fantastic Airbnb!
We planned a family vacation for 8 and all of us fit very comfortably. The environment was idealic and the cabin is storybook like with a beautiful fireplace in the living room and fire pit outside to sit around! Most importantly, the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. When we had an issue with turning on the heat, they came within the hour. Our family was at risk for being snowed in and the hosts were very gracious! Offering us extended check out and helping us coordinate rides to the airport. The town nearby is humble with fun food and vintage stores to explore.
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It’s very modern, clean, and spacious. The layout is well thought out, with plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. Everything felt fresh, well maintained, and exactly as described. It was the perfect place for a quiet and comfortable getaway, and we would happily stay here again.
If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful and remote location to get away from the city for a few days, this is a great location. The property is 25 mins from nearby town of Accord and 35 mins from Woodstock. Plenty of close hiking trails as well. The house itself is very comfortable and has a well stocked kitchen in case you intend to cook. The WiFi is solid in case you want to work remotely / watch TV too. Cell service can be patchy within 10 mins from the house, so plan accordingly.
We spent 7 nights at Stonehaven over the Christmas holiday and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The home is beautifully designed, perfectly situated above the Delaware River, and full of thoughtful touches. Quiet, cozy, and great for both relaxing and entertaining. Also, the Red Cottage folks were proactively communicative without being intrusive and resolved an issue quickly on Christmas Day. Moreover, we had two snowfalls while there, and the next days after the caretaker showed up early to plow. Highly recommended! We need to be there again in warmer weather! 🦅❤️❄️😊
The Post Haus was exactly as it appeared in the photos. There was plenty of space for our family of four – plus the dog. It made a great base for our ski trip, with an easy drive to four great ski mountains – and not too far from Wagmore Kennels for doggy daycare while we skied. We especially loved being able to park under the house, keeping the car out of the snow overnight. The kitchen was well equipped and easily handled our Christmas dinner, with an oven and fridge large enough for our food haul. The hosts have thought of all the little things that make staying somewhere easy including towels, linens, bathroom products, trash bags, dishwasher tabs etc. The setting is picture-perfect on a huge plot. I imagine it would be lovely in summer with seating areas to take in the beautiful views and sounds of the river. It’s close enough to Jamaica Village to quickly grab any forgotten essentials, yet so peaceful that we didn’t see another person or a single lit window in any direction.

Just perfect.
We got almost 12 in of snow that night we arrived, shovels were in the boot room.
The next morning the private plows did their job.

The host was very welcoming and incredibly responsive. Always responded to my messages timely & thoroughly. The house had everything we needed and more. It was stylish modern clean clutter free and very cosy.
We just had a Great and Memorable Christmas Ski Vacation at Red Cottage. The house was beautiful, spacious , extremely clean , very modern . The incredible kitchen and as a joy to make some meals together with such ease . The beds were so comfortable – we all slept great. The bathrooms were spacious and nice showers with awesome soap and shampoo and everything that you could imagine provided – real nice and classy touch.. quick ride to Killington and restaurants, driveway was all plowed nicely – because yes we got some great snow for great skiing . Definitely will be returning .

The tiny house itself is sweet and cozy. However, the shower drain was clogged for 75% of our nights there, and so we had to skip shower those nights (we ended up getting a partial refund). The place could be maintained cleaner (big water stain in the bathroom sink, stains on walls) and the bedding looks like need to be replaced. Machine noise at night. Overall not worth what we paid for.
