Arrived late at night and easily found this house and was able to get in with the code. We loved the layout of the house w an open concept kitchen that leads to the most cozy living room that I imagine in snowy months with a fire going. Upstairs is 3 charming bedrooms one with a bathroom ensuite and the other two shared a bathroom which works well for my family of 4. 2 bedrooms had queen beds and one had two twins. My daughter studied in the small office. The kitchen was stocked w everything you could need for a stay. The home had a deck with table and chairs that we enjoyed in the morning w coffee or afternoons spent reading a book. The home had a basement where there was the only tv in the house with gaming consoles and we easily hooked up our roku device to stream shows. The town of Andes is 15 min away and has 3 restaurants. Try the diner for breakfast and the Andes Hotel for dinner and live music which was fantastic. The lake is located down the street. Wifi great in and outside.
Our stay at Cloudborne Cabin was absolutely lovely. The photos don’t do justice to the magnificent mountain views. The home was stunning–exactly as pictured; it was the perfect peaceful retreat from the busy world–a little slice of heaven. And the location was private and gorgeous! Thank you so much, Atiya, for hosting us for our weeklong getaway. Everything was completely perfect!
This is the PERFECT group vacation rental. It is even more beautiful than the pictures, with a pristine newly renovated kitchen stocked with everything you could need to cook and feed our group of 14 people, including knives, strainers, pots and pans, grilling tools, and plates and glassware. The bedrooms are spacious and beautiful with comfortable beds and ample pillows. The pool is clean, and David provided pool towels and fun pool toys. We loved having access to the yoga studio, and even though it rained during our weekend, David’s house provided plenty of entertainment for our group of 14 including cocktails on the swinging bench on a covered back porch, playing ping pong in the enclosed sunroom, watching movies on the big movie projector, and hanging out in the huge reading nook. We never felt cramped. The house was a comfortable temperature all summer weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our summer week away at this unique and peaceful home. Coming from Boston, we were excited to escape the light and noise of the city and this corner of Vermont certainly delivered! We enjoyed splashing in the brook across the road each day, with bigger dips at pikes falls and Jamaica state park. Our kids loved the basement and the games, as well as raspberry picking at Dutton farm. And our dog was delighted by all the sniffs and spots to explore around the garden. Vermont is so dog friendly! Despite some plumbing issues we had a great visit, the hosts were super helpful and responsive, and overall we loved our stay here!
This was the perfect getaway for our family and friends! The little kids absolutely loved the big yard, the house was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and we all loved how private and quiet the area was. We did run into one issue during our stay where the second-floor shower was leaking into the downstairs hallway, but the hosts were very quick to respond and even sent out their maintenance crew to look at it that day. It is an older house, so we understand things like that happen – but I really appreciated their quick response. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a peaceful – yet beautiful – getaway!
Our stay at Birch & Buck was fantastic. The house is beautifully designed, impeccably organized, and completely outfitted. The owners have really thought of everything – even picnic blankets. The kitchen is absolutely perfect. The views are stunning, the pool is heated, and the lounge chairs are super comfortable. The fire pit is great for s’mores and star-gazing. Wild turkeys and deer are often surprise neighbors visiting the property.
The location is convenient to many hikes, restaurants, and shops. You’re about 15 to 30 minutes from all major activities, but it feels totally secluded. Grocery store is only 10 minutes away. You are close to Cairo, Leeds, and Catskill, which is great for boutiques and dining.

The house is super clean and beautiful. We have 7 people and we had great time! They have the grill and cozy decorating lights, which makes our stay really fun. The manual mentioned that the hot water is limited. We tried to shower at different times and that’s fine. Only one thing need to mention is that one of the room has really beautiful and tall windows. It’s great for the view but might be too bright in the morning.
Red Cottage is really responsive and gave us derailed manual. We asked whether they have a fire starter for the grill and they delivered it to us after our check in .

Wonderful place. Very comfortable beds and decorated in a west elm style. Water has a sulfur smell so bring bottled water. We really enjoyed the space as we could spread out comfortably. Door lock was a little tricky but need to lift handle up fully then turn bolt to left. Beautiful screened in porch. Bird watchers delight. Would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were easy to reach and responded to our inquiries very quickly. This area is beautiful, peaceful, and private. The downtown area is very convenient and has everything that we were looking for. There is so much to do in this area yet it was nice to come back to such a relaxing setting. The house is clean and everything that you would need is included! The fenced in yard was very helpful. We would go back in a heartbeat and will perhaps try one of their other properties as well. They are so easy to work with! We had an issue with our vehicle and they were helpful, sympathetic, and accommodating, making a potential difficult situation so much easier to navigate. We stayed here with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious, charming, well designed, and very well appointed. It’s prepared with every detail we needed, especially in the kitchen, which was great because we cooked most days. Very clean, with great quality sheets and towels (albeit soft mattresses). Be aware that not every bedroom has an AC unit if travelling during a heatwave. Houses in this area traditionally don’t need AC, but sadly they are becoming more and more needed. I would highly recommend this place and would surely like to come back.
We loved our stay at Andrew’s beautiful Woodstock home. The home’s expansive windows let us enjoy the Catskills scenery from every room, and we loved spending time on the screened-in porch, which functions like a second living and dining room, and under the bistro lights on the back patio. The pass-through window from the kitchen was a delight for our kiddos, as was the book nook under the stairs. The home is beautifully appointed and decorated, in a way that lets the real star (the beautiful nature outside) shine. Andrew was super friendly and hugely responsive to any inquiries, and the house comes with a helpful book of local recommendations and tips. The house is just a short drive into Woodstock, and so it’s close to all sorts of great restaurants, shops, and hikes. We would absolutely recommend this home to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful getaway with easy access to plenty to do. This is a real gem!
We had a great long weekend at Gordon’s place. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and using the hot tub. The inside was just as described and very clean. We appreciate the small touches such as travel size shampoos/soaps and K-cups to use in the morning. He provided local recommendations and was friendly throughout the process. We can’t wait to come back one day!
I wanted to spend a weekend with my little dog and the woods of Vermont. I was reluctant to camping and was more into tiny cabins or tiny houses. This place was exactly that and more secluded in like a private neighborhood surrounded by woods it is a gem that’s hard to find. The description and the place matched one-to-one that’s always a relief. I definitely found much needed solitude here 🙏🏽
All of my friends who came along absolutely loved this house. It was incredibly clean and felt brand new. Even walking around barefoot, our feet didn’t get dirty at all – it was amazing. The bathroom was spotless and designed in a beautiful Nordic style that I adore. The host was very considerate, providing rain boots, umbrellas, and even a bunch of toys for the kids. The children in our group were thrilled. The mattresses were very comfortable, and each area in the house had a wall-mounted air conditioner, keeping it cool even on hot days. Overall, we absolutely loved this house. If we have the chance, we will definitely stay here again!
The cabin is perfectly situated on top of a hill and set back from the road. The property offers a great deal of privacy, we did unplug from the outside world for the majority of the time. You will be greeted daily by deer, chipmunk, fox and the bullfrogs will serenade you at night. . The porch is well appointed with a sectional that is perfect for sprawling out for an afternoon nap. The pond was our dog’s favorite part of the day. I loved the peaceful surroundings and the best part of day was unwinding in the hot tub and gazing up at the stars. We had no issues with bugs, our dog loved the property!! I would suggest bringing additional towels. All the appliance were great. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect, especially with the 90 degree humid weather we experience. We have stayed at other Red Cottage homes and this is our new favorite! Hope to be back in the fall!

Property managers were extremely helpful and responsive. Town of Margaretville is only about 15 minutes away and has a well-stocked grocery store and boutique market. The property is expansive and has an AMAZING view!

We were looking for a house close to Frost Valley YMCA. It’s a 15 minute drive and was very accessible. The house is beautifully situated in the woods and has a wonderful veranda all the way around the outside. Sitting outside with coffee in the morning is a real treat. The house is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. It is warm, but with all of the windows open and the fans, it was very comfortable at night. Wi-Fi worked well. Kitchen is small, but well appointed. Very clean.
If you’re looking to have a peaceful getaway. This place is amazing, the house has everything you need. Is perfect for family time. We had a good time, we saw deer, fire flies and many more animals! The swimming pool area with the grill was amazing. I highly recommend this place, we”ll be back soon! Thanks
We stayed a week – the place is a super fun barn conversion, perfectly laid-out. Very clean and the owners made every effort to appoint the place with all the necessary vacation items. Kitchen, stocked. Pool table, set. Jacuzzi, super clean/hot. Place has 3 beds, 2.5 baths, great for family, pets etc…and the VIEW, stunning!
This was our second time staying at the house, and we loved it. The home is charming and very comfortable. It is also within walking distance of the Darbytown Launch (for swimming), several restaurants, coffee shops, shops, and galleries. We truly looked forward to our second visit, which did not disappoint. We plan on booking another stay next year.
Stayed for a couple days and couldn’t be happier with how nice our visit was. The lofts are fun and inviting. The modern kitchen was a delight. Beds were comfortable and AC was nice on the hot weather days.
Took one of the recommendations for dinner our second night and were blown away by the food. Quiet area that is the perfect getaway from busy life!
