Had such a lovely stay at the Salt House! The property is stunning, and was perfect for a quick solo trip. Red Cottage was very quick to respond to my questions, and went above and beyond with really clear check in instructions and guidelines. The photos don’t do the house justice – I can’t wait to come back in the warmer weather to take advantage of everything the area has to offer.
We had a wonderful stay and truly couldn’t have asked for a better place. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with all the right elements to make it feel comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everything was well-appointed and exactly as described, making it easy to settle in and relax. The location was also a huge plus—conveniently close to town and Stowe, which made getting around effortless while still enjoying a peaceful setting. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area.
The location is very convenient—right behind the fire station, across from a gas station and a small convenience store. It’s only about a 10-minute drive to Belleayre Mountain, which was perfect for our ski trip. The host was very responsible and proactive, sharing important updates in advance and taking care of things like snow removal promptly.
The house was well equipped with everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised to even find a rice cooker, which made cooking much easier for our family. The bedding was very comfortable, hotel-like and soft.
The only downside was that the bunk bed sheets had noticeable stains, so we chose not to let the kids sleep on them.
Overall, the house felt warm and welcoming. We especially loved the fireplace—it has a vintage charm and creates such a cozy atmosphere. The smart appliances were easy to use, the sound system was great, and we really enjoyed the vinyl record collection.

My family and I had a wonderful stay to decompress after holiday craziness. The cabin was very clean and cozy, thoughtfully stocked, and comfortable. The location was perfect – close to both Pico and Killington, making it easy to enjoy the area. The owners were friendly, responsive, and great to work with. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others!
Red Cottage is one of the most beautifully designed places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The home was spacious, comfortable and we had a great stay. We had a bit of an issue getting in and no internet connection but luckily there was an alternative way in that we were informed in advance about. The location was great; close to the nearby town and was quiet and peaceful, exactly what we were in need of. There was a bit of a miscommunication with a check out but aside from that we had a wonderful stay. Would love to come back again.
This place is double win!!! Location is great for outdoor adventures and checking out Hudson Valley sites. The house itself is perfect for lounging and relaxing.

Lovely house! We were there during a snow storm and they communicated very well about the driveway getting plowed, as well as a reminder about all the fun snow equipment they offer. Be aware that the inside stairway is very steep, we used the outside stairway when needed since it was easier to climb (I had a knee injury). Kitchen was great, everything was warm once we figured out how to work the individual thermostats.
We missed the instructions part of the online manual, Red Cottage is a bit confusing with the online portal to find the full text of the house manual, but they were very responsive when we had questions. We’d absolutely stay here again!
We had a wonderful time at this property. The house itself is beautiful and the surrounding area is stunning. The location is ideal – just a few minutes’ drive from Livingston Manor’s downtown and very close to the Arnold House, making it easy to explore the area while enjoying a peaceful retreat.
The hosting team was exceptionally responsive throughout our stay, which made everything seamless. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Catskills.

Everything was perfect for the family Xmas. Best present were the sleds in the garage and how much fun the kids had on the hill behind the building/ perfect for their age and size!! Good skiing for the adults and we enjoyed several of the local restaurants. When we cooked at the condo there was plenty of cookware and utensils hot create some fun meals.
The roads and walkways were kept clear and that was appreciated.

We loved our stay at Le Petit Cottage. We understand that there were adjacent bookings but were still shocked to not be able to get into the house until 4:00 sharp, and waited in the driveway for 30 minutes. Two more things: we could not find the extra paper towels and had to use toilet paper to clean up anything. The bath towels were all old and falling apart. All this aside, we would return.
Amazing stay at the Bunker in Stowe. The condo is newly renovated, with all equipment brand new, very spacious, and extremely convenient. It’s located in the same complex as the movie theater, with several restaurants within walking distance. Main Street is very close, and access to the ski area is excellent – the bus stop is literally a 3-minute walk away, and the free bus takes about 20 minutes to reach the resort.
The only slightly tricky part was finding the condo entrance, since it’s located on the right side of the tattoo shop, which wasn’t immediately obvious at first.
Last but not least, the management was very responsive, answering all our questions promptly, cordially, and with great flexibility. We truly hope to stay there again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a large group with toddlers, and the space felt safe and comfortable for families. The home was simple, spacious, and kept beautifully warm. We also loved the clean, modern décor. A wonderful retreat—we’d happily return. We’d also love to visit in the summer months. The town is an easy walk to restaurants like Black Walnut, coffee shops, breweries, and a fun tapas & wine bar that we really enjoyed. We visited the Seminary Hill which was just a 4min drive and Villa Roma. Really great location and home, I recommend for group trips.
We had a great stay at Home in Kerhonkson. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, with clear instructions that made check-in and the stay very smooth.
There was an unexpected issue with the dishwasher, but the host and guest services team handled it professionally, communicated clearly, and offered a refund, which we really appreciated.

The house was beautiful, and comfortable! This house had the best fully stocked kitchen I ever stayed at ! It was a perfect house set up for skiing or any winter sport. It had a big entrance with a bench to change boots and coat hangers for coats and outdoor storage. Each bedroom had a bathroom which was so comfortable and the house was evenly heated. Very comfortable ! I hope to stay there again next year !! Loved it !!
Such a wonderful spot, when can we come back? The cottage is the perfect getaway. Has everything you need for a cozy, restful trip the mountains. This authentic log cabin has all the amenities of a luxury hotel plus a wood stove, a stone fireplace and a well-stocked kitchen. The Red Cottage hosts were exceptionally responsive and the location is pretty terrific, with a view of the Catskills and a creek running through the property. It’s an easy drive into Stone Ridge for restaurants and a good launch point for visiting other charming towns in the area.
The house was perfect and we felt right at home with our doggie. They have so many wonderful books – i wish i could have stayed longer. The surrounding land was a perfect snowy landscape – so the hot tub did add i nice layer of warmth to the place. The amenities added an excellent dimension to the stay – alowung us to pamper ourselves. The morning walks with our furry companion, allowed us to get a bit of excercise and enjoy the cold crisp air. We went to Peekamoose resto, its about 45 minutes away, which was unexpectidly wonderul. Alround great spot if you like rest and being in nature, and the warm cabin helped us acclimate easily to the winter wonderland that surrounded us. Prepare to bring and make food as resto are about 30 to 45 minutes away.
This is the cutest loft with a serious kitchen/kitchenware. Walking distance from everything on Main Street. I could stay here for weeks. The owners let Veterans stay for free and there is a wall and book filled with their praise and thanks. Almost cried. Will try to stay again next time I ski Stowe.
Meeker Hill House was a beautiful place for a winter getaway to visit family. The huge fireplace was a special treat and if you’re lucky enough to have a full moon as we did — wow what a sight out back at night! Although we didn’t have the weather to utilize the back patio and pool, they are so beautiful and can imagine what a retreat this home would be in the summer. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking — even a rolling pin for baking gingerbread cookies with grandchildren!
This is a very, very unique property. The house sits only a few feet off a very scenic stream, and there is a cliff on the opposite side of the stream that offers incredible privacy and tranquility. The hot tub sits between the house and the stream and is very private. The house itself is incredibly unique and has been well updated. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. At the house is literally less than five minutes from Bel-Air Mountain. We took a ride out to Plattekill Mountain, which was approximately 30 minutes away, and that was a very enjoyable mountain also. There’s great hiking all over the area. We hiked Slide mountain which is the tallest mountain in the Catskills and only 15 minutes from the house. It’s in a very small town that doesn’t have many restaurants, but there is a Handy convenience store just across the street and the town does have a small market. Very enjoyable stay!
A few friends and I had an enjoyable winter stay. The home was clean and well equipped. The sauna was very nice. One issue, however, was only having access to a guest WiFi network, though the house guidebook clearly stated we could also use the private network to connect to Sonos speakers/sound system. When we requested the private WiFi, we were told we couldn’t have access after quite a bit of back and forth. A large reason we were excited about this place was to listen to music as a group on a nice sound system. It was disappointing that the owners were not accommodating to this, despite mentioning it in the guidebook.
