We had a wonderful stay at Red Cottage. Great layout, very clean, host very accommodating and proactive. Beautiful area and extremely friendly local people. We found some great restaurants/bars in the area. When catching up at the well decorated cottage, some of the girls enjoyed the Jacuzzi while others walked the property.

We loved our stay at this home in Great Barrington! It was great being about to walk right out the door and head to many different restaurants and shops several times per day. The house itself was very comfortable, and the surrounding nature was beautiful. This was exactly what we were looking for. What stands out the most is that my family got sick right before our scheduled stay, and the host worked with us to reschedule our trip for another weekend at no extra cost. Even when the timeline was a little tight, they made it work for us, which was really, really appreciated. Thank you!

The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Wi-Fi worked great – perfect since we were working remote.
Loved the location and easy to walk in the area around the house on dirt roads across the main road.
The backyard with the fenced in yard was perfect. So hard to find in VT and very appreciated when traveling with a dog.
We had an unfortunate and unexpected issue with the well occur due to the flooding over the summer. The well did not present any symptoms until our stay and then required a major repair. But the owners worked quickly to get it fixed and made arrangements for us in the meantime. And then once fixed, everything was back to being perfect. We really appreciate the owners and their response to the situation – even when we know it was a stressful and expensive event for them.
You will not regret staying at this house and we highly recommend. Truly a great house, location, and VT is a truly a beautiful state!

We were looking for a peaceful getaway to reset and spend time together as a family and this retreat provided the perfect setting. An arresting and cozy interior, with plenty of conversation pieces and comfortable places to relax, have an outdoor fire, read, watch movies and even a yoga/peloton studio. A three minute drive took us to a beautiful hike in the Catskills. The beds were clean and comfortable and the whole place was super clean – terrific, given that they graciously allow pets. And the host was very responsive whenever we had questions. We hope to come back!
This is one of the most beautiful Airbnb’s my family has stayed in. The house is well equipped, clean and in a lovely location. Our family had a very stressful event happen, unrelated to the home, and I reached out to the host who immediately responded and helped instantly with a solution. I can’t say enough good things about this home and host. If you want the perfect place to stay in Vermont, this is it!
Spruce Cove Cabin served our purpose for Thanksgiving weekend perfectly. We have family in Portsmouth, NH and the proximity was perfect. We also found outdoor things to do in Ogunquit and Rochester with handy spots for lunch within a 30 minute drive. The house was clean and comfortable. It is in a neighborhood with houses pretty close which limits the privacy, especially in warmer months. I was happy to have read the previous reviews and brought cooking utensils and some one-use aluminum pans, but we were doing a big dinner. Pots and pans were adequate, but knives and utensils were on the light side. I would recommend a floor lamp or an end table with a reading lamp to the owners to add some ambience and a reading spot. That would have been appreciated in the colder days we had while there and would go perfectly with the wood stove!! Linens and bedding were fine. All and all we appreciated the general location and the oven worked for our turkey dinner!!
My family and I are obsessed with the Red Cottage! First of all, kudos to the interior designer of the house – it felt like we were living in a magazine all weekend long! Now on to the rest…the house is one of the most cozy and beautiful houses we have ever been in! It is spotless, perfectly furnished, and has many activities to keep you busy all weekend. The amenities of the house are top notch and you can just tell that every little detail/function was very well thought out. The hosts were extremely responsive, welcoming, and kind. My one-year-old son had a blast taking his toy trucks from room to room — it’s a very family-friendly layout! I can go on and on about how lovely our time was at the Red Cottage but honestly, you just have to experience it for yourself. We will definitely be coming back 🙂
We had a lovely time staying at Lisa’s beautiful home while visiting local family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The hillside house overlooks the small lake and barn (with a pool table and darts) and comfortably accommodated two families with the two upstairs rooms (king bed and three single beds) that are at the same level as the main entrance/front door to the house and the two downstairs rooms (king bed and full bed) that are off of the great room that includes the kitchen area and living space with a wonderful fireplace. Beds were very comfortable, and shopping was an easy 15-minute drive to the local grocery store with a gas station and wine shop even closer. Lisa and her husband were very accommodating and welcoming, bringing us firewood and an amazing pecan pie when we arrived. I would definitely stay again!
Would definitely recommend staying here. With two floors, house is spacious and aesthetically furnished, and you could tell a lot of thought was put into the interior design. Both floors have a living room area with a sofa and TV, and the Sonos sound bar, large kitchen, and wood-burning stove were a nice touch. The area is very peaceful and quiet, and the U-shaped driveway made it easy to get in and out.
Our family enjoyed an unforgettable Thanksgiving at the house! The property is beautiful and very private. The outdoor firepit is very large, has plenty of seating and there was more than enough firewood provided. The hot tub was sizable and the temperature was perfect! The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed to cook our meal. It was great that three of the four bedrooms had their own bathroom, which gave everyone plenty of space. All of the bathrooms were also modern and very clean! It would have been nice if there was more than one couch in the living room since we had eight adults, but we moved some of the other seating around to make it work. Overall, we will definitely return!
Our Thanksgiving getaway at the Spirit Cabin was great. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the house was equipped with everything we needed, plus more. It made our stay so much more convenient and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of our experience was the cabin’s secluded location, which provided a great sense of privacy. It was exactly what we were looking for to escape the everyday life.
We are considering rebooking for the next summer to take advantage of the pool and the lake, summer time will provide us with a better value for the price.

We had a lovely time staying at Coal Cabin. It’s a beautiful and relaxing place that really allows you to get away from it all and just embrace the quiet. The fireplace was perfect for a couple of chilly nights and the beds were comfy. We were able to go on nice walks nearby and visit the town of Woodstock with it’s shops and restaurants.
My stay at this property was simply exceptional! We still cannot get over the views!!! Wow! The house is spacious and so beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the art pieces around the house and overall we had the best time! The details throughout the house are superb and simply in our top three best airbnbs we have stayed at! The hosts were friendly and communicative and just made our stay so peaceful and enjoyable! We absolutely cannot wait to return back in the summer! This house is an absolute GEM!!! The sunsets and sunrise views are breathtaking!

The sleeping arrangements were remarkable! We unanimously agreed that each bed was incredibly comfortable, we all felt like we were “sleeping on a fluffy cloud!”
During our stay, a pool company cleaned and checked the jacuzzi (the property has this done weekly)which was reassuring.
The location was central to a lot! There was a plethora of shopping options and excellent restaurants surrounded by stunning scenery! A short drive away, we found a gym, and my 16-year-old son enjoyed a day pass for only $15. The basement was perfect for my 8 yr old and 11 yr old niece having a blast.
Books and games for all ages. A beautiful field behind the house led to a private beach.
There is so much more to this location, but you will have to see it for yourself !

Beautiful property and location. While the house is close to the road, it’s a significantly less-traveled road, so nothing to spoil the bucolic setting (and the pups *loved* the brook)
Sauna / spa bath area on main floor are lovely and a perfectly therapeutic way to wind down. The jetted tub in the upstairs bath is also a nice touch.
NB: the lofted upstairs bedroom can get rather warm by the end of a day with a fire going – but opening the windows from some cross- ventilation on the upper floor cools things down quickly.

The house was beautiful, in an amazing rustic location, and had a ton of rooms for our family of 10! We cooked thanksgiving dinner there and had plenty of cookware, pots and pans, dish ware and silverware, and everything we could possibly have needed. Overall we loved this house and will definitely return!
Modern rustic paradise nestled between evergreen mountains and large winding stream on several cozy acres! Beautiful property w a well thought out concept that features state of the art appliances, sauna, deck, and even a record player w some old albums that my kids loved to dance to while we hung out in the living room! All while being just around the corner from Stratton Mountain! Would def stay again!
I booked the 2 cabins at this property for a group for a thanksgiving stay. The team at Red Cottage were so helpful and diligent, taking care to check-in during our stay and replying over what I imagine was a very busy thanksgiving time.
The cabins themselves are just as pictured. It’s very cosy in the main house especially once the fires on. The 2nd cabin takes time to warm up and needs consistent fires to keep it warm. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are plenty of chairs around the property you can bring in to accommodate a full house.
Overall we really enjoyed the stay, it was a perfect place for a group of friends!
Spent a week at this charming location. Home was perfect to host Thanksgivingdinner. Oven and stove were excellent, but suggest that you bring your own gadgets/etc to make it complete. Located at the end of a private driveway. Make sure to look out for the local porcupine and deer. Woodstove and record player were will appreciated. Bonus points for the copy of Paul’s Boutique.
this was our second time staying at the beautiful Casa Magda & it was equally wonderful as the last time! tiffany has put so much care into each element of the house, which makes it a dream to stay in. her communication before + during the stay is always excellent, which made us feel equipped for our stay (recommendations for food, wine, hiking, etc + instructions on everything you could have a question about!)
other than that, it’s just a gorgeous home. simply reading a book here is vacation enough for me.
