The Post Haus was exactly as it appeared in the photos. There was plenty of space for our family of four – plus the dog. It made a great base for our ski trip, with an easy drive to four great ski mountains – and not too far from Wagmore Kennels for doggy daycare while we skied. We especially loved being able to park under the house, keeping the car out of the snow overnight. The kitchen was well equipped and easily handled our Christmas dinner, with an oven and fridge large enough for our food haul. The hosts have thought of all the little things that make staying somewhere easy including towels, linens, bathroom products, trash bags, dishwasher tabs etc. The setting is picture-perfect on a huge plot. I imagine it would be lovely in summer with seating areas to take in the beautiful views and sounds of the river. It’s close enough to Jamaica Village to quickly grab any forgotten essentials, yet so peaceful that we didn’t see another person or a single lit window in any direction.
We had a great time staying at Chestnut Ridge Cabin during our Jay Peak skiing trip this Christmas. This recently remodeled house is very nicely decorated and has creative interior design solutions. We enjoyed spending evenings in the living room. The EV charger was appreciated as well. The place is quiet despite a nearby state highway. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this rental.
We had a great stay. The house was clean, well maintained, spacious, welcoming. Nothing was overly complicated, we could figure out how to operate everything. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials and plenty of extras, coffee makers and grinders, all sorts of kitchen gadgets. Basics like linens TP and paper towels, condiments and coffee are stocked well. It’s a beautiful house in a nice private setting but close enough to mountain and town. Would recommend!
The house was beautifully set up for the holidays, very comfortable. The area is great, close to everything. My family and I enjoyed spending time in Stowe. If I had to mention one thing for improvement, the house managers should pay extra attention on door locker battery, we struggled with closing the door for a couple of days until it got fixed. Other than that all was great. Thank you.
We had a beautiful few snowy nights here between Christmas and New Years. Highly recommend! Lots of comfortable couch zones, very generous kitchen to cook in, lovely lighting throughout, cosy fireplace, incredible views in every direction. The beds were very comfortable. This is a lovely space to come to with friends as you can really stretch out and relax. This is a special place. Can’t wait to return!
The cabin is very comfortable and served all the needs we wanted for the weekend. The outdoor is beautiful, the ceiling views are stunning and the outdoor sauna is an added bonus. The cabin was clean & the beds were very comfortable. All of slept really well. We would definitely stay again & recommend to others.
We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was in pristine condition and truly had everything we needed, making it feel comfortable and easy from the moment we arrived. The location was great and the layout worked perfectly for our family! My two nephews especially loved the downstairs area. Despite the weather, the roads were well plowed making it easy to get around and the host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! 10/10 experience.
The property is phenomenal for families. We were two families staying on the property. They have a hill right behind the house and given some recent snowfall, we spent multiple days sledding with our toddlers. There is also a creek on property and the kids loved exploring. The playroom and utensils for children came in handy during our stay. Despite a hiccup with heating and cooling in the building, the management team was very responsive and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We found the customer service to be excellent.
Haven in the Hollow was amazing!!! Beautiful spacious home, perfect for a Stowe vacation! Easy drive to the slopes, and great location for all local activities! The beds were comfy, linens were amazing! The master heated shower is incredible!! The kitchen has everything you need!! Red Cottage is an amazing rental company! We needed more salt for the driveway and more firewood, and they delivered within hours! Beautiful scenery, you just can’t beat it!! One of the best rentals we have ever had, and we have rented top quality luxury homes for a while!! We would 100% return if our travels take us back to Stowe!
We had a magnificent stay! The kitchen layout was fantastic and made it easy for everyone to be together while meals were prepared. The living room was especially peaceful, with a stunning panoramic view that we never got tired of. There was beautiful art and lighting throughout the home that created a really calming atmosphere. Beds and bathrooms were very comfortable, and the dining room was a joy as well, with a fireplace that made it feel extra special. To top it all off the TV and audio setup was very high quality and thoughtfully designed. Likely my favorite Airbnb stay ever!
