House is very spacious and thoughtfully designed it was perfect for our multi family getaway, the screen porch is especially nice in the summer! We traveled with our two young kids and the place was well stocked with toys, books, safety gate and high chair. The property also provides private access to a lovely stream great for wading or taking cold plunge. Spent the days hiking and exploring nearby towns and our nights by the fire pit which was well stocked with wood. We had some minor issues with lights not working in the kitchen, hallway, and upstairs bathroom which we alerted the host. Overall it was a great stay, would come back again.
Our stay at the Red Cottage was great! Fit our entire family and handful of kids. They loved the huge yard and all the games in the basement. The house was beautiful and well kept. We didn’t use the fire pit because the chairs were really dirty but it looked like it would have been nice. Overall, fit 8 adults and kids easily. Great price for the space.

The Olive Pit is a great house. It’s located right near Copake Lake and a short drive to the local spots (restaurants, bars, marinas). The home is decorated really well and everything feels new. Everyone also mentioned how comfortable the beds, pillows and linens were.
There were a few hiccups early on in our stay but Red Cottage team was very responsive and proactive in fixing the issues. Definitely appreciate their quick moves.

Fantastic experience, and definitely one of the best airbnbs we have stayed at. It is a lovely house, which feels newly remodeled, in an absolutely gorgeous landscape with lots of wildlife to be seen in the area. We enjoyed spending time inside and out, especially in the hot tub, and would love to stay there again soon the next time we visit the area. Thank you!

The cabin was absolutely spotless, cozy, and very well put together. We loved the back deck for enjoying the cool weather and the AC kept the inside nice and cool when things got hot out. The fire pit was perfect for an evening under the stars. The area around the cabin offered plenty to do and some really great restaurant options in nearby Red Hook as well as Hudson. The Red Cottage team were excellent and proactive with their communication, making sure we had everything we needed and giving us tons of local pointers. Thanks for everything!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Stowe for our 28th Anniversary. We loved the location. It was very beautiful, private and peaceful, just what we were looking forward to after busy days of driving, hiking, and walking around town. Gordon was very friendly, provided lots of great ideas & suggestions and was very responsive. The apartment was very clean and accommodating. It had everything that we needed. We found the beds to be very comfortable. No issues to report. Highly recommended.
A wonderful little getaway to relax and rest with beautiful surroundings. A quick little hop to Freeport for fun adventures (especially Mare Point Oysters, a suggestion from Wildwood Collective). Wildwood Collective were very responsive and helpful. We had so much fun cooking on the grill and roasting marshmallows over the fire. Have yourself a relaxing weekend and book away with no worries 🙂
We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks in August with our multi-generational family — a fabulous vacation. The house is well appointed. Fully air conditioned, comfortable beds and linens and a dream kitchen fit for a chef. The house feels very remote but is only 15 min away from a good supermarket and many farmer’s markets. The hosts are FANTASTIC. Any questions we had were answered immediately and any minor issues were resolved within hours. I would highly recommend this home!
This Hudson Valley getaway was amazing! Hosts were super helpful and responsive to questions throughout our stay. This is the perfect place to take your friends or family for a weekend away. We loved that they had everything there for you (pool floats, gas for the grill, basketballs and tennis/pickle ball equipment). Clean and put together very nicely. Would highly recommend!
We had an incredible visit to Stowe and so much of it was due to this fantastic house! We spent hours playing with our daughter in the pool every day and loved hanging out on the deck looking out at the beautiful yard. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable with beds that felt like ours at home. And, the open floor plan was wonderful so we could cook and spend time together easily. Serge and Jayla were very communicative and provided so many amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable. We hope to come back next year!
We absolutely loved our stay! The home is clean and cozy – the perfect amount of space for a small group. The hot tub and fire pit were the perfect touch to the start of fall. There is quite a bit of land around the home and a nice patch of woods in the back perfect for a little hike with your dog. There are many small Catskills towns (Roscoe, Callicoon, Livingston Manor etc.) to visit but you should expect to drive about 15-30 minutes each. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway and doesn’t mind adventuring in the rolling hills!
Very professionally managed and quality through and through. I appreciate a stay where it’s truly thought out, not some wannabe diy place. Thank you. One clarification for guests, the place is very peaceful but the property is close to a gravel road and none of the land is usable for hiking/exploration. Still very nice.
We enjoyed our stay at Red’s Cottage. We were a group of 8, and the house was more than comfortable for our group. The house came equipped with all kitchen essentials, linens, soap etc. The surrounding area is beautiful, and there’s plenty of activities in Sullivan County. I would recommend Red’s Cottage to anyone looking for a getaway in upstate New York!
We had an amazing time on our stay! The house was so beautiful, inside and out, and the surrounding area was breathtaking. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, look no further. All instructions were super clear, and there is a helpful guide that provides emergency numbers for the local units, as well as great suggestions for hikes and activities. I would definitely recommend this stay, and I hope I get to visit again in the future.

Beautiful, peaceful 56 acres to walk through fields and woods. The most noise we heard was from occasional passing planes. We often had rainy days with stunning sunlit skies at sunset and could watch the storms crossing the valley. Except for a couple of spiders, the house was impeccably clean. Our contact helped us book on the fly for the evening we arrived! (Thank You!) FYI-We did struggle with Wi-Fi in the area that was mostly an interference with gps, so be prepared. (WiFi at the rental works well.) They do require extra steps for check-in (sending ID pic, signing contract, etc.) which would have been fine if we weren’t booking the same day and struggling with Wi-Fi. There are two other houses on the grounds, but we rarely saw anyone. We hope to return to this beautiful, peaceful spot.
