I planned a girls trip at Casa Madga with a total of 6 ladies in attendance. We were excited about this house because it looked fabulous, clean, private and quiet, exactly what a bunch of healers and mothers needed for the weekend. It was everything we anticipated and more. We absolutely fell in love with the decor and layout of the house. Every detail was carefully planned. It was obvious a lot of love and thought went into the property. We appreciated so many things including the smudge sage spray in the bathrooms, the quartz crystals above the bedrooms, the homemade mugs, book and music collections…it was all perfect. As soon as we walked in and toured the home, spotting the level of detail along with very thorough instructions and recommendations, we decided would be back. The website and IG page was an added bonus, giving us ideas for what we could do and enjoy. Only downside was our trip was too short to enjoy all you have to offer. We look forward to the trails and hottub 🙂
We loved our stay at this charming home. It was very clean, well-decorated, and made very comfortable by very nice amenities – linens, toiletries, sundry items like an iron and ironing board, extra blankets, etc. Very kind to find a gift upon arrival of a bag of excellent, fresh local coffee beans. When we needed to reach the property manager they were very responsive and cordial, and they stayed in touch (unobtrusively) throughout our stay with helpful updates on local resources and happenings. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area – it was just lovely! Thank you to our gracious and detail-oriented hosts!
Everything was perfect! We went to visit Vermont for my birthday weekend, we took one of our dogs with us and we all had the best time. This is such a cozy, perfect place to stay. Close to so many cute towns in VT and right on the scenic highway – Route 100, that we love!

Loved our stay at this private, comfortable, stylish home close to Red Hook, Hudson and Tivoli. Was an easy trip to West Takghanic Diner. We also loved the beautiful kitchen and had all that we needed for a family and friends dinner. The place is clean, spacious and sunny, and bedrooms very comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee on the large back porch listening to birds and there is a stream and small pond. This place is great as it’s close to hikes and swimming, but easy to get to great restaurants, wineries (Rosehill) and it’s 3-5 minutes to a brewery with a beautiful view (Vosburgh). Was a great weekend and we hope to come back for a longer stay.
We had a wonderful stay. Lovely to be able to walk into town, but also the feeling of space with the garden and view out on to the water.

I had a wonderful stay! The house is big and roomy and it was a great spot for 10 guests. Everything we needed to cook and clean was right there and stocked. The house is gorgeous, and loved the modern farm house aesthetic. Will be booking again if in North Conway!! Hosts were also excellent and left clear instructions.
we had a perfect vermont weekend! the house was clean, comfortable and cozy. the sauna was a bonus! excellent property with the soothing sound of the stream. fire pit perfectly situated and user friendly. we went for a long hike at nearby jamaica state park. a delightful weekend-we’d gladly stay there again!
We stayed at Five Acres Farm with 4 adults and 3 children (1, 3, and 4 years old) and it was nearly perfect. The house and setting was absolutely beautiful and the house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There were also plenty of fun things to do in the area. Our only concern was the temperature and maybe it was just unfortunate timing, but it was a hot and sticky long weekend and the house and bedrooms were too hot despite of using all fans provided. I didn’t deduct any stars for this as the description does state that there is no airconditioning. Also, if we didn’t have young children, we would have probably been out more and not have noticed it so much. I would still highly recommend this beautiful home in fun area though, just the temperature is just something to be mindful of, yet you will not regret your decision of booking this beautiful and spacious home.
Wow, what a wonderful place to get away! This lovely cabin had everything we needed and was the perfect place to relax and unwind from busy city life. We were lucky to see so many sweet deer and rabbits enjoying the outdoors as much as we were and we’d definitely stay again in the future! It was so nice, private, and peaceful; and stargazing in the hot tub was pretty exceptional. Highly recommend!
The Red Cottage was everything my family and I were looking for – for our 2 day upstate getaway. It was a perfect, quiet, relaxing cabin style stay w everything you needed inside. Wifi was great for some of us that to work a few hours.
Lots of trails and activities nearby for all the nature lovers. It was hard to leave! We will definitely be back 🙂

Beautiful home. Great amenities. Fully stocked. Convenient to Great Barrington and good hiking. Plenty of room for my family of 7 adults and our pets to spread out. Also ample places to work if need be. The management company was extremely responsive. When there was a problem with the AC they worked quickly to get it fixed. My one recommendation would be to provide more outdoor furniture on the front porch. There were only 2 Adirondack chairs and room for a sofa or additional chairs to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The freshly painted cabin was clean and spacious. There were just the right amount of amenities without being cluttered. We had everything we needed to cook dinner in the kitchen, hang out on the patio, roast marshmallows over the fire and play some games in the entertainment barn. The bedding was comfortable and there were plenty of towels and supplies. We definitely recommend this location to a group such as ours (9 people).
This was a really unique stay–a very interesting design and a beautiful location near the river. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of tools but not too many consumable supplies such as spices and oils so I’d recommend bringing those. I did not have much contact with the owner. We really enjoyed hiking and swimming at Jamaica State Park.
We have booked Airbnbs a few times yearly for the last decade or more. This was hands down the BEST Airbnb experience. The home in person looks much better than the photos—and the images are fantastic. The house was clean and uncluttered, making it feel airy and delightful. The beds and furniture are extremely comfortable. The backyard was peaceful and perfect for grilling or kicking back with a book. We also had a fantastic view of the pond out back. Perhaps the best part is this home’s convenient location. We could easily walk to Main Street to enjoy the local restaurants and shops. Last but hardly least. Red Cottage was also incredibly thoughtful, checking in a few times to ensure all was okay. We plan to book again!
The place is cute and well equipped. The picture looks slightly bigger but it is a typical tiny house, without feeling it is when I got there. Chris and Lauren are very responsive and attentive. Their recommendation has a lot of great spots nearby and we really enjoyed our stay there. I had high expectation specifically for Starlink wifi but a honest review is: probably not ideal if you need to do video meetings like we did. Other than that, the internet is workable, maybe it’s the weather so sometimes it just slow but overall it’s a bless with internet access in a remote area, especially when it’s raining 🙂
We had a wedding to attend at the Claryville firehouse and this cottage was the perfect location! The cottage is cute and in the trees, with a stream right next door. It was rainy when we were there so we didn’t get to use the amazing deck but in nice weather it would be the perfect place to relax.
One word of warning—our maps app (for some reason Air BnB won’t let me use the “G” word) took both of our cars coming to the cottage to the wrong place. The owner’s instructions give an address but there is no actual address on the house. Look for the cottage sign that says “Woodlands.”

This was the perfect place for the ultimate sleepover! My daughter was wanted to have a sleepover with a few of her friends for her 10th birthday. The space was perfect! The kitchen was spacious and contained everything we needed to cook for the weekend. The girls spent the first night making homemade pizza. It had a loft area with six (6) beds where all the girls could sleep together comfortably. The loft area had a projector where the girls had movie night. It also had a fun a karaoke machine where the girls sang along to their favorite tunes and enjoyed a dance party. There was also a fun disco ball, which added special touch. The fire pit out back also made for the perfect night of roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. Overall the experience was amazing. The home had everything we needed and more. There was a house manual with instructions and labels all over the house that made it easy to navigate, especially with five 10 yr olds. Thanks for having us! Can’t wait to come back
The house is gorgeous and so well designed and well thought out that it took advantage of every square inch of space. The idyllic setting is very peaceful and the bubbling brook will put any insomniac to sleep. Our hosts Lauren and Chris were excellent and very responsive before, during, and after booking. They’ve thought of everything you might need and the welcome snacks were a very nice touch. The place was pristine when we checked in. The village was very small and the store lacked some essentials but the grocery store a few miles away had everything we needed. There was an issue with the a/c and our hosts responded very quickly and compensated us for the inconvenience. This is the first Airbnb that we’d definitely return to in the future and our experience has unfortunately raised our expectations for all our future Airbnb rentals.
