What Our Guests Are Saying
So well stocked, it feels like home and so easy to settle in! Love the charm of this historic home.
The yard is so nice and flows so well! Just wanted to spend more time there!
The location is so perfect, love that you can walk to town or down to the river. Will definitely be back and honestly cannot wait!!!!
Needed to drive to see other sights in the area though.
The location is very convenient. Close to Main St. and close to other adjoining towns.
Would highly recommend and would be very happy to stay there again.

one thing for sure is the beauty of the design and thoughtfulness put into their home. I felt like I was in an issue of Architectural Digest. It’s unreal and even better than the photos. Airbnb’s feel so cold these days but this truly felt like a home with everything you could possibly need.
the kitchen was something I could only dream up and it is BEYOND stocked – tablecloth, towels, fabric napkins, serving plates and bowls, utensils, spices, Le Creuset pots + pans (!!!!) literally just anything and everything.
the outdoor lawn is MASSSIVE – we sprawled across the 20 acres for a game day and had a picnic in the field. there’s a grill and black stone and even a seafood boil pot for use that david was kind enough to not only show us how to use but also helped us find lobsters in town!!
I’ve stayed in tons of airbnbs and this one is truly worth every cent, I’ll be back for sure 🙂
We found the kitchen stocked with all the tools and appliances we needed to prepare our own meals, and Western Provisions ( a 4- minute drive down the road), has pretty much everything you’d need.
We visited the cabin in early June. It definitely warms up when the sun sets, but the basement offers a cool (cold) respite from the heat.
We had a wonderful stay, we’ll likely return in the future.
This was my first experience with AB&B, and this host made it extremely easy to feel comfortable, informed, and relaxed. The tiny home was very clean, easy to find, and had tons of amenities. We would definitely recommend this tiny home experience!
Surrounded by trees, it offers such a peaceful and calm environment that it soothes mind, body and soul. What you hear is birds chirping and wind whispering.
The inside of this place exceeded our expectations with its beautiful interior design, spacious living room, comfortable bedroom, pristine bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. We were especially delighted by the presence of various art pieces, particularly the stunning ceramics by the host themselves. This place is perfect for a family vacation or a small company retreat. We’d love to come back soon!
The house is very comfortable and has so many windows to take in the forest. The kitchen was also well stocked and we enjoyed bbq-ing and sitting out around the fire pit. Great spot for a long weekend with friends!
We were happy with our stay. A nice home base for the Slide Mountain and Giant’s Ledge hikes. A bit over an hour to Kaaterskills and or Minnewaska. A ton of porch space, not a ton of indoor hangout space if you’re with a decent sized group (we were not).
The only true hassle is just that the walk from the Car to the Front Door is rough and not illuminated. Plan to have a flashlight ready if you’re arriving at night. You’ll be carrying your stuff over rocks/gravel/dirt
The large is yard but you’re in the woods. Be aware of ticks and other insects on the property (not in the cabin itself!)
The two bedrooms and the bathroom upstairs are accessible via a spiral staircase and connected via a wooden platform of slats. The slats had noticeable give when this 200lb person walked on them. Don’t plan on a super tall or a big person being comfortable going upstairs. Again, it’s a cabin. Set your expectations.
Perspective wise, we thought we missed the house because a lot of the outside pictures are actually looking at the road. You look down at the house from the road, and park on the road as well.
Tip for getting here (not a reflection of the property itself): Depending on where you’re coming from, the GPS might take you from the east. This way involves several miles of seasonal dirt road that I don’t recommend unless you’re into that sort of thing. Our GPS took us there at night – not my favorite night drive. Coming from Claryville involves only a short bit of dirt road.
