ARRIVAL
Check-in is at 4pm unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
DEPARTURE
Check-out is by 11am unless otherwise stated in writing. The cleaner will be arriving shortly after to begin preparing for the next renters.
AGE REQUIREMENT
Primary guest booking must be 25 years or older. The person booking should also not have any negative reviews.
PETS
Well-behaved pets are allowed with prior approval (and $75 fee per pet, per stay) but are never permitted on the furniture and particularly not in beds. Please clean up after your pet both inside and outside the house.
SMOKING
No smoking is permitted inside the house. If you must smoke, please do so outside and dispose of butts properly.
SEPTIC
Please be mindful of the septic system and do not flush anything down the toilets or drains other than toilet paper. This includes any and all personal hygiene products, baby wipes, bleaches and strong chemical cleaners.
BUGS
To avoid unwanted bugs and critters, please do not leave food out or doors open. As well, lyme, a tick-born disease, is a concern in the Hudson Valley and Catskills regions. Please be mindful by wearing long pants and sleeves while hiking or playing outdoors, and remember to check yourself, kids, and pets daily for ticks.
WINTER WEATHER:
In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and slippery roads. While we have someone that plows and salts the roads, weather in the area can be unpredictable so please check and plan accordingly.

The hospitality was above and beyond, we’d book again and have the confidence the next experience would be the same as the first. Each couple came from the city or a great distance, ignoring the commute to enjoy a quiet weekend with friends.

Fantastic house for a long weekend stay over New Years. Plenty of space for lots of kids and dogs to play and run around. Quiet cul de sac for walking and playing outside. Would definitely stay again!!

4 and a half actually.
Recommend curtains for the bedrooms. In front of large heat register off kitchen is a piece of wooden flooring that will cause someone a foot injury. We had it marked with newspaper so no one in our party would catch it in their feet. Also recommend better lighting in walkway to house and some type of railing for those who are not completly stable on their feet.
Otherwise, the stay was a pleasure. Would definitely use your services again.

My friends and I stayed in this lovely cottage for two nights and absolutely loved it. It is extremely private property with a back yard to the woods. extremely helpful management.

My family and I stayed here for my son’s wedding nearby. The owners were very flexible regarding check in, answering questions and even finding us a steamer for our clothing. We had plenty of room for everyone to get ready for the big day.

We had a great time at Red Cottage. The house is beautiful and very comfortable, it’s even better in person than in pictures!

Would definitely recommend staying here. With two floors, house is spacious and aesthetically furnished, and you could tell a lot of thought was put into the interior design. Both floors have a living room area with a sofa and TV, and the Sonos sound bar, large kitchen, and wood-burning stove were a nice touch. The area is very peaceful and quiet, and the U-shaped driveway made it easy to get in and out.
