Beautiful home, just what we were looking for. Very cozy, private and well appointed. A great place to get away from it all. We thought the lack of a TV might be an issue, but it was in fact a blessing and allowed us to enjoy the house and our time there that much more. The only shortcomings that we could find would be if the outside shower offered more privacy (which was diminished by the lack of leaves on the trees at this time of year), and perhaps a microwave (which we were a little surprised not to find (no popcorn, oh well). The trail in the woods was a little less clearly marked than we had expected, which again, due to the number of leaves on the ground, was a bit difficult to navigate. With that being said, we loved the house, the property and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great escape. We look forward to returning soon.

Beautifully designed and efficiently appointed home in the woods. The location gives off the grid vibes but has great wifi and is very close to towns like Livingston Manor and Callicoon.
The home is a perfect place to connect with friends or family.
Get your supplies from Peck’s market and try the local cheeses. You wont need anything else.
Red Cottage had every detail covered including a dog bed ready for my grand pup.

This home is exactly as pictured within the listing! Beautiful kitchen, well-lit living space, and a very private & quiet escape. (Maybe a bit too private for us – lol!). Red Cottage was super responsive when we had questions in advance of the stay. We would recommend, though a bit pricey!

Great location! Incredibly close to Bethel Woods and outdoor activities. The house is on a scenic, secluded wooded lot, and is well-equipped and comfortable. My family had a wonderfully relaxing summer weekend escape.

We were even granted a complimentary early check-in and late checkout. The house is brand new and well-equipped, and everything was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, spotlessly clean, well appointed home! The location was great for shows at Bethel Woods and for exploring the local towns. Plenty of towels, everything you need to cook in the kitchen and a great laundry room! Outdoor shower was not working but we didn’t try until our last day. The string lights outside needed some replacement bulbs, so we let the owners know, but that did not affect our stay. Owners were very responsive so I’m sure everything is back in working order!! The house is ideal for a quiet escape and we will definitely go back again!

We just completed a wonderful two night stay at the Red Cottage as part of a trip to catch a concert at Bethel Woods. The house is incredibly well located, close to Bethel Woods and yet very private and serene. It seemed newly built because everything was in pristine condition. The layout was exceptional and the natural light was fantastic! We couldn’t have imagined a better stay and would love to come back in the winter to experience the wood stove and sauna.

The instructions were great, the gravel driveway was very navigable. The family/kitchen/dining room was amazing with the huge windows.

This place has it all. A beautiful modern cabin nestled in the forest, only a few miles from bethel woods. We really couldnt have asked for a nicer place to stay for the weekend.

We were here with a group of three and the house was perfect. It feels like new construction and everything is pristine and perfect. The layout is nice. The kitchen and the main room are lovely. The kitchen is very well supplied. You could walk in and prepare a Christmas dinner with out a question. We used and loved the sauna as well as the fireplace. It's pretty remote so you just need to be prepared.
