The Home
Perched in the Saco River valley with the White Mountains rising on all sides, this four-bedroom, 3-bath new construction ski chalet puts Attitash and other great ski mountains just minutes from your doorstep, not to mention world class year round outdoors access. Designed to sleep up to 10 guests in comfort, the home earns its place as a true mountain retreat, with outdoor spaces built for all-season living and an interior that rewards every hour spent inside.
The outdoor spaces set the first impression. The wraparound deck with a generous outdoor dining area and Weber propane grill overlooks an unobstructed view of the surrounding peaks, while the hot tub steams year-round on the lower level. A fire pit with a view anchors the yard for evenings that tend to stretch well past dark. Whether you arrive mid-winter with ski boots in tow, or in summer or autumn hiking season, the great outdoors are what bring people to this part of New Hampshire.
Step inside and the architecture takes over. Soaring vaulted ceilings with post-and-beam style give the main floor an immediate sense of scale, and a wall of windows pulls the mountain landscape into the room. The open-concept living and dining area flows into a modern kitchen, with sliding glass doors connecting the interior to the deck and keeping the view in frame whether you are cooking, eating, or settling in with your group. Two guest rooms, each with a queen bed, are also on this level, sharing a full bathroom with a standing shower.
Upstairs, an open loft with comfortable seating and a dedicated workspace makes the home genuinely remote-work capable. The primary suite occupies this level as well, with generous proportions, a private seating area, and a primary bathroom with a tiled shower. It is a quiet perch removed from the action below.
The basement is where the group gathers after the mountain closes. A full home theater setup with an oversize sectional sofa anchors one end of the space, while a ping-pong table and Polycade arcade gaming system take care of the rest of the evening. A fourth bedroom on this level sleeps four in bunk beds, making the home ideal for families, multi-generational groups, or any crew that runs large.
Neighborhood
Echo Ridge Chalet sits in the heart of the Mount Washington Valley, with the peaks of the White Mountain National Forest defining the horizon in every direction. Attitash Mountain is the area's signature ski destination with Cranmore, and Black Mountain nearby. North Conway, ten minutes south, serves as the valley's hub for dining, shopping, and craft beer.
Mountain vibes and elevated tavern fare can be found at Barley and Salt in North Conway and Tuckerman's Tavern nearby in Intervale. The Red Parka Pub in Glen, a Mount Washington Valley institution once named among the best apres-ski destinations in the country, is right on the route home from the mountain. The White Mountain Cider Company in Glen rounds out the après options with award-winning hard cider and a seasonally driven menu. Come summer and fall, trailheads into the White Mountain National Forest, Crawford Notch State Park, and the Presidential Range open up within easy reach of the front door.
Getting Around
Echo Ridge Chalet is just under 3 hours from Boston. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the NH-16 S, I-95 S, US-1 S and I-93 S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
