The West Kill Farmhouse is amazing. The decor and layout are perfect alone or with couples or families traveling together. Lots of space and very interesting design and layout..
Unfortunately we could not explore too much of the outdoors as it was covered in snow and ice and below zero with the wind. The main living area can be very chilly even with the fireplace going (tricky to keep the smoke from coming in the room) and the heat turned up. This is due to the wall of windows on both sides with drafts around doors. It did not bother our group as we were so in awe of the full wall of windows at both ends of the Great room, the ambient lighting in the ceiling (Switch on Niche lighting) and coziness of the fireplace and we just cozied up in the amply supplied blankets and enjoyed the moment. There are also space heaters throughout if needed. Nothing that a good glass of wine, good company and a great environment can’t tackle. 🙂
The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable and warm with interesting lofts in a couple and all but one with it’s own bathroom.
The kitchen was a very cool design and had all you need to stay in and enjoy meals together. And TWO refrigerators!
We visited the West Kill Brewery- a short trip and must see. Drove into Hunter, but now wowed. We were not there to ski so may have been different if we were. On the way out, we stopped at the Phoenicia Diner, but extremely crowded and after waiting 30 minutes, we were given 3rd degree about our service dog. We ended up leaving and traveling 3 minutes into downtown Phoenicia and eating at the Bettina Cafe and Market and so glad that we did. The food was amazing and delicious, well prepared, no wait and the owners gladly welcomed our well behaved service dog.
Downtown Phoenicia is a quaint little town with a Bar, pizza place and some other shops. Will explore more here next time. And yes we will be back. A very enjoyable weekend and highly recommended. Thank you!!

Our stay at the chalet was absolutely wonderful! The space was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views were stunning, and we loved sitting by the fireplace in the evenings. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and helped us when we had a few hiccups in the space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

Cozy, spacious home with beautiful surroundings -the mountains and woods
Cozy, spacious home with beautiful surroundings -the mountains and woods and visitors (deer) make it so peaceful. We enjoyed the pool, firepit and eating outdoors on the patio and local breweries and diner. The home is fully stocked with cooking items and service ware and the beds are comfy. The 3 and half baths came in handy for our large group. We ran into two issues -freezer malfunction and oven vent not working- which was addressed as best as could be expected in the short time frame. Someone was sent out for both issues.
One definitely needs a car here as nearest grocery store (Hannaford's) is at least 20-30 minutes away.
We enjoyed this vacation and would definitely consider staying here again.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful house! The surroundings were breathtaking, and its proximity to the ski resort made it a perfect choice. The host was exceptionally accommodating and made the entire experience seamless. Highly recommend!

This is, without question, the single most impressive AirBNB I've
This is, without question, the single most impressive AirBNB I've ever stayed in. It's rare for a property to exceed the photos, but that's the case here. The quality of the home is excellent, from little details like heated bathroom floors to the bigger details like the Viking kitchen with two (two!) fridges to the sound-proofed walls in the bathroom. The host is very responsive, very quick to answer on the chat.
Guests should know that there is no AC in this AirBNB and given how large the windows are, I wonder how warm it gets.
For us, in the winter, it was bit chilly but there is a great fireplace and space heater everywhere. The doors in the great room are beautiful but they aren't air-tight -- quite loose, in fact -- so cold air enters with ease.

This is truly an incredible place in the Catskill mountains.
This is truly an incredible place in the Catskill mountains. We were a group of 10 and had plenty of space. We particularly enjoyed the surroundings and the large property with plenty of space for outdoor activities. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for everything!

The house and location are phenomenal. I think the only thing we recommend improving on is the instructions for entry - we didn't understand the access into the house itself. The front and back glass doors also blow in a lot of excess air, making those spaces really cold too, and some of the doors leading to outside are harder to close. But everything else was amazing! Thanks to the homeowners for sharing this property for us all!

This is definitely a 5-star experience staying at this Westkill
This is definitely a 5-star experience staying at this Westkill Home! The accomodations were very clean, kitchen well stocked, the view gorgeous and the pool/hot tub a really fun experience and added to the relaxation. If you want a nice splurge for a group or large family this is it (we went in September while the weather was still warm but the not blazing hot). We loved the outdoor fire pit, lounge chairs and outdoor eating area. We also enjoyed the beautiful bedrooms, unique arcitecture and the bathrobes :). We had lunch at Phoenicia Diner and a beer at Westkill Brewing. Everything in the home was user friendly and we had no hiccups. Management team customer friendly and responsive. Hope to come back!
