The house is rustic yet has so many touches to make it very comfortable. Heated floors!! The pool and hot tub are beautiful. The property is huge and peaceful. My pups loved walking the property. Loved the enclosed porch in back. We had a good time! Thank you!

Absolutely love this property. Unfortunately, we could not use the beautiful pool due to rain, but we loved the screened-in porch, the fireplace, the kids' areas downstairs, and the beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. This is the perfect friend/family getaway spot! We will definitely be back :)

Deer meadows is a lovely property, we loved the bedrooms with full bathrooms and the kitchen especially. We enjoyed the outdoor areas and the private location. Great space for a family gathering.
The A/C did not work when we arrived (it was 80* in June) but Red cottage was responsive and got it fixed the next day, and provided a refund for the first night. Not ideal but they got it fixed and we appreciated that. Hopefully they will proactively check to ensure the heat/AC is fully functional before future bookings.

The location, house, facilities and decor were all superb. This

The location, house, facilities and decor were all superb. This house was someone's pet project and was definitely made with incredible eye for detail and design. It's a spectacular house with some minor issues, which I think the owners are working to rectify (roof deck damaged and inaccessible, minor repairs required) It was a pity that it was raining all weekend so we couldn't enjoy the pool however it was surprisingly clean and naturally warm enough to dip our toes. The rooms, cleanliness, amenities were all very good. We only two concerns - 1) Some of the things were either broken or did not function. e.g. The ice machine in the fridge or the one separate both did not function at all. There was no facility for ice in the house. One of the hobs was broken and completely non-functional. 2) We got locked out because the main door closed behind us. Thankfully there is a backup key with a lock however it took an hour to get to that key because the codes provided were incorrect. I advise checking all codes as you check in to ensure you have backups in place. We will definitely be coming back for a warmer weekend stay to fully enjoy the place. In fact I would say it's one of the best places we've stayed at in terms of how well it's designed and what a beautiful oasis it is away from the din of the cities and towns. The proximity to all the Hudson / Berkshires towns / villages was a major plus too. Some suggestions to owners / operators would be to include a printed Handbook / House Guide in the house to outline certain systems of the house (we couldn't figure out the sound system at all, which is a pity because that living room deserves a good system). Hopefully all the issues are already being addressed and we look forward to our next stay.
