The Cranberry Pond House is incredible. We were 4 adults, 2 kids, and 1 dog in the winter wonderland that is Cranberry Pond and the space was just perfect, cozy, warm, and inviting. I know people say this all the time, but the pictures (even though they are beautiful) really don’t do this place justice.
Samantha was an incredible host, super accommodating and responsive. The house is thoughtfully furnished and stocked with everything you need for a magical stay in the woods, and was sparkling clean when we arrived. The bedrooms and bathrooms feel like you’re staying in a 5 star hotel and the kitchen has everything you need and then some. They even had everything our friends needed for their kids (1 & 3 years old) so they barely had to bring any baby stuff.
It felt so nice to unplug and just relax in front of the wood stove (plenty of firewood and fire starters included), listen to music (awesome bluetooth sound system), play board games (such a great selection). And then when we wanted a little excitement we could just walk out the front door and explore the area around the pond, marching through the snow, and SLEDDING!
We also got a chance to explore the town of Livingston Manor which is just down the road and is an idyllic upstate town with great markets and restaurants, an awesome wine shop, a few antique stores, just everything you need… Sam made some great recommendations for stores and things nearby.
Honestly, the Cranberry Pond House was one of the best AirBnb experiences we’ve had in recent years.
We can’t wait to come back in the Spring, Summer, and Fall!
