This house is an absolute treasure! The home came with everything we needed and was very comfortable. The light in the dining room is so beautiful and the kitchen was perfect. My family also had a nice time relaxing in the living room after long days of skiing. The location is great and close to everything. Our family of four fit very comfortably in the house and had a nice time taking walks around the quiet roads. We will definitely rent this home again on our next ski trip and would also like to experience it in the summer months.
The Darby House was a wonderful getaway. It felt very secluded, but also safe. Inside was super cozy with a wood burning stove that kept us toasty despite the chilly rain outside. We enjoyed driving around the small town, even though most things seemed closed – probably due to the season and potentially a bit of COVID. But it was still nice to drive around the winding roads and look at the mountains. The house is beautifully decorated, but definitely has some wear and tear – as you would expect from an airbnb. The bathrooms are in need of updating, but all in all, it was lovely and we would definitely return.
The property has acres of beautiful land with some hiking/walking trails. The house has four spacious bedrooms which accommodated our group which included grandparents, parents, and young children.
The kitchen has nice counter space and appliances but could use more or updated cooking and serving utensils. There were plenty of towels but could use some new ones. We were there in the snowless winter but still enjoyed the outdoors. Some of the group skied at Catamount which is nearby. I wouldn’t recommend the house for children under two because of the open staircase. It was fine for our almost-three-year-old.
Great location and perfect house for families! We traveled from Pennsylvania to enjoy the holidays with our family from North Carolina. We love to ski and Stowe has been on our list of places to visit. We were not disappointed. The drive to the mountain from the house was easy and it is also a quick drive ti a number of other local hot spots!
The house is very cozy and lots of space for relaxing. We enjoyed the privacy and the fire stove after a day on the slopes.

Great space! we came as a small family (2 parents, 2 elementary aged children)… the space lays out well (reading nooks, TV, meals, playing outside, etc). and kitchen is well stocked to cook all meals. we loved the outdoor space (firepit+adirondack chairs, grill, & enough space for young kids to explore)
great hosts (communication, amenities, etc) – highly recommended!

I would give Gordon’s place 6 starts if I could! The place was very clean and had all the basics we needed. We had plenty of privacy but Gordon made himself available whenever we needed anything. The location is great, close to town but the property is quiet with beautiful views. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone coming to Stowe.
Fantastic cabin for a warm, relaxing weekend getaway. The space is modern, very well-stocked, and immaculately cared for. There’s a grocery store 5 minutes away, but there’s not a ton to do in the immediate area (and the road isn’t walkable at all), but if you’re looking for a quiet space for a couple’s getaway it’s perfect.
I highly recommend staying at The Barn @ Windermere. The property is lovely with up to date appliances and plenty of natural light. The location is perfect for those who seek the privacy and serenity of the country life with easy access to town and entertainment. Andrew made communication a breeze with his quick response time, professional attitude and willingness to remedy anything that was amiss. We are very thankful for Andrew’s generosity and kindness.
Tiffany’s place is just as advertised! It’s a gorgeous home with so much character and detail. Super close to windham mountain and a wonderful place to come home to after a day of skiing. Tiffany was also a wonderful host – she was always quick to answer any questions I had and left an extensive manual to keep things running smoothly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone – you will not regret it!
The good- this property is unique and decorated cute with a good location near fun activities and a babbling brook. We snowshoed, skied, hiked and went snowmobiling. It has a well stocked kitchen with convection stove and toaster oven. The property provides plenty of firewood for a very easy to use stove that burns efficiently. The beds are comfortable and there is a cute store within a 5 minute drive.
The bad- there are no railings on either the upper or lower staircases. This will be difficult for the elderly or people with mobility issues. The upstairs loft bedroom is open to the downstairs so you will hear everything but stays warm from the stove downstairs. There are doors for privacy and there is a shared bath with the bunkbed room upstairs. There needs to be a step stool for short people to get into the cabinet in kitchen and tall people might bump thier heads on the low stove vent.
The only problem we had really was a high-pitched sound that came from the sump pump in the downstairs bedroom closet which kept the guests using that room awake all night. The owners promise to address.

Emil’s house is lovely and we had a great time. We had an issue with the water but Emil was very responsive and we were able to resolve the issue. I would recommend Emil’s house to a friend!
This home is everything You want it to be and the location is brilliant. We had a fantastic stay with our two kids (10 months and 3.5y).
The house feels like you are in Europe and the layout gives each room great amount of privacy.
Definitely would stay again and definitely would highly recommend.

Charming stay and perfectly located. Only 35 min to Portland. Home comes with all amenities and stunning view of wetland preserve.
Though it is a tiny house design, the floor plan is quiet spacious and accommodating.
Extraordinarily clean, and host provide a great welcome packet with local eats and drink.
We look forward to our next stay.

Great peaceful location! Close enough to downtown Stowe (13-15 mins) super clean, new everything, great bathroom and large deck kitchen had everything we needed!
It snowed during our stay and Andrew not only called for a plower to sand and plow the driveway quickly , his brother also came and shoveled for us as well! Very dog friendly our 50lb Goldendoodle loved the backyard! Will be rebooking in the future 🙂

Fun, modern Airbnb close to Stratton. Everything was clean, comfortable and well stocked. This Airbnb seemed overpriced to our group. The downstairs bedroom is very unappealing and has a noisy machine in the closet and concrete floors. There is no bathroom on that level, so have to walk upstairs in middle of night. The main bedroom and bunk room upstairs share a bathroom. So for the price, this really doesn’t sleep comfortably for a group.
The house was great! There were 7 of us and we had plenty of space. It was super easy to get over to Windham for some skiing and Emil was very responsive with any questions that we had!
Had a wonderful time with my family during our winter retreat. House was perfect, clean, enough rooms and space for family or friend gather. Good communication with host, seamless check in. You won’t regret your booking.
Casa Magda is a perfect retreat – the fireplace is the ideal place for gathering and spending time especially during the winter months! We loved how spacious the living room is and all of the natural light pouring in. It’s extremely convenient to get to the mountain and to stores and Tiffany was so generous and communicative throughout our stay! Definitely recommend this home!
We (2 adults, 1 kid) would absolutely stay here again. We didn’t find ourselves needing anything. It was warm and cozy. Kid loved the lounge area, which he quickly claimed as his spot. Kitchen was fun to cook in. Comfy beds. Nice amenities all around, speedy WiFi. Place was spotless, too. Sadly, our fabulous stay was cut short a day short by an impending snow storm (our choice).
Great house. Perfect location for a family ski weekend. We had plenty of room for 8 adults, 2 children, and a dog. Emil was a great host. Would definitely return
Everything about our trip was wonderful! We stayed with her two kids (age 4 and 5) and our dog. Our dog absolutely loved the yard being fenced in, we could let him out and didn’t have to worry about him taking off. We happen to be there during a time where there was a lot of snow and very cold temperatures. It was nice to be able to let the dog out in the yard to go to the bathroom and not take him for a walk! The house is very cozy and welcoming. Our kids loved the room with the ladder to the bunkbed. The woodstove was amazing for keeping us warm and creating that cozy Vermont vibe. We had family right in Ludlow and it was a quick 10 minute drive to see them. The owners were very communicative and actually called us the day of a snowstorm to see how we were doing and if we needed anything regarding snow removal. I highly recommend staying here especially if you are with children. We stayed in the two bedrooms upstairs but there’s also a third bedroom on the first floor.. so two families can very comfortably stay in this house.
The listing does not do this place justice! My partner and I stayed for two nights and it felt so cozy and homey the entire time. We cooked, listened to podcasts and just enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the little cabin.

We have a senior dog who needs pretty frequent care and medication, and them allowing us to bring our dogs was just the cherry on top of this amazing stay. They were happy on their travel bed in the floor in front of the heater and slept the day away.

The Nordic Cabin was a beautiful Scandinavian-style getaway that truly felt like an escape to another country. Such an easy drive, quiet and peaceful area. The home is beautifully designed with amazing sunlight coming in through windows and doors. Tons of space throughout the home. Beds were extremely comfortable, warm duvet/down comforters, nice sheets, and there were plenty of towels (plush and nice towels, by the way). Shampoo/conditioner/lotion are all provided. It is clear that the owners of this home were thoughtful with all details. As someone who cooked every meal while staying – the kitchen is outfitted with all the essentials for group dinners – pots, pans, serveware, foil, even a Vitamix and cast iron pan. Such a welcoming touch to have coffee and a cider from the local cidery upon arrival. Fast and reliable WiFi (4 people working with no issues). Washer/Dryer available as well as all modern appliances. Minutes away from Chatham, a roadside market with local produce and the cidery. And such a short drive to Hudson, another cute town with tons of restaurants/shops. Seamless check-in/check-out process and comprehensive/easy to read house guide. Would definitely go back. The house was great! It was very spacious and clean. Emil was very descriptive and helpful with any questions we had. It was just about five minutes from the Windham mountain which was perfect for our ski getaway.
