Yellow Door is a light-filled contemporary ranch with an airy interior set on seven lush, lovely acres in a scenic, rural area, convenient to all the wonderful shops and eateries in both Hudson and Rhinebeck.
The spaces flow beautifully in the open plan living spaces, with comfortable lounging on the sectional, a wood stove, and 55-inch TV for epic movie nights. The well-appointed chef’s kitchen serves up ample counter space and is exceptionally well stocked with everything a cook would need. An expanding dining table can accommodate up to 12 guests, the perfect place for a family gathering or Friendsgiving. There is also a new washer and dryer in a separate laundry room off of the kitchen which also has a large pantry.
Off the common area, one wing features a bright, modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual sinks, and a large bedroom with a picture window, vaulted ceilings, and a queen bed. Then there is the ultimate kid’s room, equipped with a bunk bed and two twin-sized beds — the perfect place for a slumber party. There is also a powder room off the mudroom.
On the other side of the home is the master suite with a king-sized bed. This room has a large and bright en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual sinks. Rounding out the rooms is a spacious bedroom with two twins. Next to this bedroom, there is a second bathroom with a bathtub/shower and dual sinks.
Out to the patio from the living room, there is a Weber gas grill, a charcoal grill, a small smoker, and a table for dining al fresco or playing games. The sweeping grounds offer loads of room to roam. Walking trails are maintained in the woods along the top of the property and there are lovely views of the Catskill Mountains. Adirondack chairs set at the crest of the hill lure you up to sit and take in the magical views.
Idyllically located on a sparsely used dead-end road, one feels far from the bustle of life. Stroll down the middle of the unpaved road to play, skim stones, catch crayfish, spot wildlife, and generally get close and personal with nature at Taghkanic Creek…and in less than 20 minutes you can be taking advantage of all the culinary, art, and shopping attractions of Hudson. It’s the best of both worlds!
