We planned a ski weekend with our family and decided to stay at Red Cottage. The location was ideal. The house was beautiful and so spacious. Every room was beautifully decorated and super clean. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary tools and amenities. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
Our stay was perfection – the house is minimalist, cozy, chic, and warm! Super clean, kitchen is well stocked, and our oldest daughter loved the “bed under the stairs” (think it’s a reading nook but a perfect extra bed for a little one)! We loved the fire pit and the indoor fireplace. It was a perfect house for our fam of 4, but definitely would have worked with another small family as well! We had great dinners at Silvia and Cucina in Woodstock, the best breakfast sandwiches at Bread Alone, and loved our visit to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary which is so special for anyone with kids who love animals! Great location and vibe!
House was beautiful with a lot of natural light. The grounds also allowed for hiking right on the premises as well as several other outdoor activities. Can only imagine how nice it would’ve been with the pool/hot tub open during the spring/summer months.

Place was perfect for our family of 4. Everything was clean and it had pretty much everything you could ask for. Full kitchen, washer/dryer. Having shower separate from toilet is key as well. Even though it is below a Tattoo parlor, we only heard them for a few hours one day after skiing. Would definitely stay there again!

I stayed here for a few days with my partner and another couple. It was super spacious for just the four of us. We planned this trip to get away from the city for a few days and enjoy the Catskills.
We are all able to work remotely, and there was plenty of space for us all to work. We mostly preferred working together at the dining table, but there were several desks in various rooms where we could take meetings or work quietly.
Then, in the evenings, we went for hikes, drank wine, played board games, watched TV, and enjoyed the hot tub. Hot tub was great and already hot, nothing we had to do but open it up.
Expect to drive 10-15 minutes for hikes and dinner in town. I recommend the Outer Loop North trail for a leisurely 3 mile hike. We went to the Taphouse Grille in Windham and loved it. If you plan ahead with a reservation, try Casa Susanna. It’s unbelievable how good it is.

Its a splurge but so worth the stay! The home is well maintained and thanks to the care taken by the owner it’s easy to honor the intentional and well curated vibe. The kitchen is well equipped so you can stay close to “home” enjoying the fire, hot-tub and the big screen for movies. Breathtaking and challenging hikes and more to explore nearby. I’ve stayed here twice and will easily be back again.
Beautiful property and lovely, peaceful surroundings. The hosts were responsive and helpful and the house was very nicely decorated and felt very high end.

The house was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place for a quiet getaway with friends. It was stocked with everything we needed for the weekend including records, games, puzzles, cooking supplies, and housewares. The view was unbeatable with the sun setting directly over the Hudson. Would definitely recommend!
We truly enjoyed our stay. The home was private, peaceful, and offered beautiful lake views. We visit the area often since we have a cadet at West Point, and the location was ideal—an easy 25–30 minute drive. It’s also conveniently close to Beacon, Fishkill, and Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. This property is now at the top of our list whenever we check availability for future visits.
We were looking for a little escape and found it at the Red Cottage. It was a perfect location – short walk to shops and restaurants and the Housatonic River Trail. Great Barrington is a lovely little town and centrally located for seeing the region. Great location for cycling. The cottage had plenty of room, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of linens and soaps, etc. Great wifi. We really enjoyed our stay.
Our stay at Aigle Noir was just perfect! The house is beautiful with everything you could possibly need and the view of the Delaware river and valley is stunning. You can tell that a lot of time and effort went into designing the property to make staying there an unforgettable experience. It also helps that the house was spotless, despite having a large surface area. We will definitely plan to stay again at Aigle Noir some other time of the year as I’m sure the house and its surroundings are beautiful any time of the year.
I planned a glorious last minute girls trip for my daughters 14th birthday. We have been going to Stowe as a family for 20 years and finding this spot felt like I’d won the lottery! We arrived late and acess to the cottage was so easy with 4 sleepy children. We felt immediately at home. The kitchen was well stocked so waking up to make them pancakes with fresh strawberries in the am was a breeze! I don’t go anywhere without my dog and she was welcome as well! While the girls swam I hit the trails right out back! In all my years here I still found new things to do! The location was so convenient, private and safe. Our host was welcoming and responsive and everything was simply perfect! It was a memorable weekend with the perfect home base. Thank you!
Just book it! This Airbnb experience was wonderful. Staying here is a vacation itself. The place is decked out with top of the line cooking equipment for any meal you would want to make. The amenities are too many to count. This place strives to be excellent in hosting their guests and it is noticeable from the moment you pull in the driveway.
